The Basics:

The Director of Partner Field Sales works within Tanium’s Global Partner Sales team to recruit, enable, and align our teams with our partners to achieve regional and area sales targets. This role will own, develop and execute regional Partner Business Plans in the Mid/South East Region, to ensure partners are skilled to sell and deliver services, in support of their Tanium business.

  • Work with Tanium Regional Sales VP to develop and execute a Partner Plan for the business.

  • Proactively maintain ongoing knowledge of industry, territory, existing and target partner accounts, & competitive landscape.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of each strategic partner business and what drives their success. Demonstrate value by aligning a relevant value proposition from Tanium with the partner's strategy and objectives.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a regional or national partner sales role.
    • Candidates living in the Atlanta, GA area are highly preferred.
    • Well-rounded experience working with GSI, Alliances, Value Added Resellers, System Integrators and MSPs.
    • Experience working for a national services-led company, such as a VAR or system integrator strongly preferred.
    • Experience creating and successfully managing a regional or national partner.
    • Experience as a quota carrying sales rep or business development position with a successful track record strongly preferred.
    • Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Masters preferred.

 

  • Other:
    • Proactive style, capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with technical, business development, sales, and executive roles.

  • Build and maintain Tanium's backend services alongside an agile development team

Education

This will require someone who is able to effectively research and communicate to the Senior Manager and our field, their analysis of specific competitors as well as different niches and overall trends.   • Be able to clearly talk about different IT operations areas eg. both in public and on paper

  • Present and persuade the IT operations portfolio Product Management teams to influence product direction

The Director of Partner Field Sales (SLED / CENTRAL ) works within Tanium’s Global Partner Sales team to recruit, enable, and align our teams with our SLED partners to achieve regional and area sales targets. This role will own, develop and execute regional SLED Partner Business Plans in the Central Region, to ensure partners are skilled to sell and deliver services, in support of their Tanium business.

What you'll do:

  • Work with Tanium Regional Sales VP to develop and execute a Partner Plan for the business
  • Candidates living in the Chicago, IL area are highly preferred.
  • Be the Regional SLED partner expert, supporting Tanium sales, operations and enablement teams

  • Experience

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PARTNER ACCOUNTS (Insight/Trace3)

The Director of Strategic Partner Accounts will work with Insight and Trace3 to gain mindshare, increase technical, sales and services capabilities to achieve our sales targets. This person will work with Tanium’s Regional Partner Sales team to consistently engage & execute in each sales region.  This role will own, develop, and execute the Business Plans with his/her partner(s). Business plan will include an agreed upon partner created and Tanium created quarterly sales and pipeline targets, an enablement plan and marketing plan needed to achieve goals.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute National Partner Business Plans for Insight and Trace3.
  • Candidates living in the Phoenix, AZ area are highly preferred.
  • Develop executive level relationships between both companies to increase their investment and focus on their Tanium business.
  • Work with Insight and Trace3 to help them develop Tanium based advisory, deployment, integration, & managed services to support sales efforts, customers & maximize partner margins.
  • Integrate Tanium into their labs so they can demo Tanium to their customers & prospects.
  • Proactively work with regional partner sales to develop regional plans that drive alignment with our field teams, increase partner field based technical and sales capabilities and win business with targeted customers.
  • Educate Tanium sales teams on partners unique value propositions and coach them on how to work with this partner to increase their productivity.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings/workshops to train Insight and Trace3 to how identify, pitch, demo and implement Tanium.
  • Develop and execute marketing programs/events/campaigns/sales plays to drive demand for Tanium products and services. Measure and deliver ROI metrics for all activities.
  • Design and promote effective incentive programs to generate interest and growth of Tanium products.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of each strategic partner business and what drives their success. Demonstrate value by aligning a relevant value proposition from Tanium with the partner's strategy and objectives.

 

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a national or dedicated partner sales role in the IT Operations and/or IT Security industry required.
    • Candidates living in the Phoenix, AZ area are highly preferred.
    • Experience working with multi-billion-dollar partners required.
    • Experience creating a national or global partnership required.
    • Experience as a quota carrying sales rep for global accounts strongly preferred.
  • Other:
    • Proactive style, capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with executive, sales, business development, & technical roles
    • Ability to gain trust & mindshare of Insight and Trace3 executives, sales leaders & sellers.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate independently while managing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
    • Ability to enthusiastically evangelize the Tanium message to Insight, Trace3 and their customers.
    • Desire to own all parts of a partner lifecycle including plans for accelerated partnership growth.
    • Proven success with sales ability and demonstrated knowledge of sales process.
    • Hunter mentality is a MUST.

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $245,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.

In addition to an annual base salary, team members will receive equity awards and a generous benefits package consisting of medical, dental and vision plan, family planning benefits, health savings account, flexible spending account, transportation savings account, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, life, accident and disability coverage, business travel accident insurance, employee assistance programs, disability insurance, and other well-being benefits.

DSA–Strategic Sales

The Basics

As a Director of Strategic Accounts (DSA) on the Tanium field sales team, you will be responsible for generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within an assigned territory and/or accounts. You’ll be equally as comfortable with the CIO, CISO or VP Ops as you would hosting a roomofRed Team members; from talking business benefits to bits and bytes. The successful DSA drivesa superiorcustomer experience by delivering technology solutions tailored to customer needs andis able toexceed their assigned quota. 

What you’ll do

  • Articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision makers and expertly manage the complex sales cycle 
  • Nurture and develop relationships within the assigned territory and/or accounts, presenting to the C-suite the value of the Tanium platform 
  • Work with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts within assigned territory and/or accounts 
  • Generate appropriate sales development activity to ensure healthy pipeline management 
  • Accurately forecast, maintaining excellent SFDC hygiene 
  • Conduct online webinars or in-person presentations to generate qualified leads 
  • Travel as needed 

We’re looking for someone with

  • Significant enterprise software sales experience, generating and closing large & complex software transactions with the biggest customers in the region 
  • A strong team mentality - selling is a team sport at Tanium, where managing and using virtual resources to tackle large and complex sales cycles is a must have skill 
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota 
  • Experience calling on and presenting to C-Suite level contacts 
  • Background building and cultivating relationships with partner ecosystems to bring a partner-centric go-to-market approach to our customers 
  • The ability to evangelize and build new business opportunities within an assigned territory and/or accounts. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
