  • Assistant to Public Policy, Operations, and Business Development, this role will help with municipal research, municipal business registrations, operations research, and setting up pertinent meetings for US operations and Public Policy.
  • The role will ideally assist with municipal communications, collateral marketing management, and overall assistance so both Ops and Public Policy can achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to work during US working hours
  • Ability to communicate verbally and via email in English
  • Able to assist with municipal research via the internet
  • Computer Proficient
  • Understanding of Google Suite of programs including Google Calendars, Gmail, google slides, and google pages

  1. Solid understanding of testing, QA principles and best software engineering practices
  2. Ability to analyse, define and manage at least 1 dev team manual test requirements
  3. Ability to independently perform tests on application, API and back-end levels in both black, white and grey-box manner
  4. Ability to eventually manage at least 1 automation project

  • Reporting to the Remote Operations Lead, you will take ownership of all aspects of the operations in (various) market including:
    • Identify key operational metrics and manage daily operations effectively while working alongside local Operations Specialists.
    • Manage and optimise ground staff rosters, timesheets, and performance
    • Accountability for achieving key performance targets; cost and revenue.
    • Analyze operational data and make informed decisions based on market trends and analysis
    • Ensure local team compliance with workplace safety and health regulations, maintaining a secure working environment.
    • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of field staff
    • Oversee and maintain company assets in the city, including fleet and vans
  • Liaise with the purchasing team to acquire materials and service needed in for the warehouse or operational activities
  • Work with the Head of Operations to drive Beam’s operations across multiple operational verticals, including charging infrastructure, fleet management, warehousing and supply chain management.
  • Innovate constantly on existing processes and products
  • Collaborate cross functionally (strategy, marketing, policy) to ensure smooth business operations
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
  • 2 years experience in operations management, analysis, or in a fast growing startup
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with people management and training.
  • Passion for solving problems and delivering a great customer experience.
  • Highly analytical and creative problem solver, with a product driven mindset.

Strategy formulation and execution for the Korean market will cover number of aspects:

  • Initiative planning: identify key business issues and prioritise quarterly strategic intiaitives (covering both top-line and cost) to address them - based on deep-dive analysis estimated effort, impact and risk
  • Forecasting and manpower budgeting: assist financial forecasting of acheivable business peformance based on key business trends & initiaitves execution, including formulation of appropriate manpower budgets
  • Execution management: work alongside the local team to drive execution key projects, helping to troubleshoot and overcome blockers that arise
  • Performance analysis: establish processes to ensure we have an accurate view of the impact of our initiatives and health of our Korea business, provide insights and recommendations based on these
  • Stakeholder collaboration: be a key facilitator of ever-closer alignment across Korean & global functions, improving governance and internal processes accordingly to achieve this
  • Coaching: work with junior resources across functions to upskill their strategic thinking and analytical skill sets
  • Experience: at least 7 years of experience in a strategic role, preferably within a dynamic startup, corporate, or professional services environment
  • Project management: Track record in owning and driving business functions and/or projects on behalf of senior stakeholders
  • Analytics: Structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data analysis and financial modelling to drive decision-making
  • Language proficiency: Professional-level fluency in both Korean and English (written and spoken) is a must
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience in managing and mentoring junior colleagues to achieve high performance within a positive, collaborative work culture
  • Team player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and develop deep working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Industry knowledge: Experience in mobility and logistics is a plus
