The S1000D Analyst provides technical and logistics services required for the accomplishment of Technical Manual (TM) development and updates based upon tasks relevant to Ship Change Document (SCD), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Configuration Control Board Directives (CCBD), ORDALT Instruction, and other Configuration Management (CM) documents.

The S1000D Analyst uses applications that interface with the Navy Information/Application Product Suite (NIAPS), the collection of hardware and software products deployed aboard ships in support of the Navy’s Distance Support effort.

The S1000D Analyst supports developments with regard to XML application for IT-21 terminals. The S1000D Analyst will create new and revise existing XML instances, based on the currently approved NAVSEA DTD and NAVSEA Integrated Publishing Process (SNIPP) to ensure that all Technical Manual Contract Requirements (TMCRs) are met. 

 You will be responsible for the accurate editing both format and structure for Technical Manuals for the Department of Navy structured electronic manuals in SGML, native XML and S1000D in compliance per Navy approved DTDs hosted within a Common Source Database.
