About the role

You will partners across the organization to manage inefficiencies in the business. Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role in the states of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington is: $80,800 - $106,050 per year. The base pay for this role in all other locations is: $72,700 - $95,445 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data to support business teams in making better informed, data-driven decisions
  • Use data to tell a story that non-technical colleagues will understand, including packaging and presenting findings
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of essential operational and analytical dashboards, and update and enhance them as our user's needs evolve
  • Create models and tools that produce relevant insights to identify inefficiencies and generate insights to remove inefficiencies
  • Collaborate across the organization to identify actions to achieve improvements and monitor initiative impact
  • Support other projects as assigned to meet our needs
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of SQL, experience with the ability to filter, aggregate, and build CTEs
  • 1+ years of technical work experience using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Periscope, etc.
  • 1+ years demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and distill analyses into relevant insights with a structured and systematic thought process
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, around business reporting impact and requirements, as demonstrated by experience on at least 2 reporting projects requiring communication between technical and non-technical users
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel skills, with ability to use VLookup, nested if statements and connected Sheets

  • 1+ years experience in preparing healthcare analytics and reporting
  • 1+ years experience managing value-based contracts at a payer or a provider organization (ACO, CIN, MSO etc.)

In a world where Data is critical for BCG's success, BCG has founded a cross-functional team, the Global Data Product Portfolio (PP), to create first-class, foundational global Data capabilities, products, and assets to achieve the following goals across BCG functions and teams:

    As part of this Global Data PP, the Data Governance team work to implement policies, processes, standards, and technologies to ensure data is findable, understood, trusted, managed, and useable (whilst also supporting compliance with laws and regulations).
    Working closely with the Data Governance Director and Data Stewards, we are looking for a Senior Data Governance Specialist to proactively drive the implementation of Data Governance capability in priority Global HR areas, particularly further maturing our Metadata Management, driving cultural awareness, and implementing Data Quality processes.
    Our HR Data is fundamental to BCG’s overall priorities, from supporting digitalization of our functions to feeding the analytics and information for continued growth and success as a global organisation. For HR, Data Governance is a growing area of priority and influence with recent investment driving a renewed strategy and implementation plan. This is an important area for the organisation with significant scope for thought partnering and senior stakeholder influencing. 
    The ideal candidates will have a goal-oriented mindset and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver Data Governance capabilities and support exceptional Data Products. They will have 5+ years of experience in driving an increase in Data Governance maturity in large, highly complex companies and a knowledge of industry best practices. Finally, they should have good communication skills with proven experience in stakeholder engagement (including business and technical teams) with the ability to showcase the business benefits of Data Governance.
Among your responsibilities, you will:
•    Deliver on the vision and roadmap for our HR Data Governance Strategy
o    Driving metadata management (alignment on definitions, capturing data lineage, capturing data classification, maintaining/updating HR items in data catalogue)
o    Driving the cultural change agenda; raising awareness regarding data governance principles; coaching relevant stakeholders
o    Facilitate Data Governance forums and workshops with relevant stakeholders to promote adherence to governance policies.
o    Develop and implement Data Quality processes to support more proactive resolution of issues.
o    Support Data Access controls implemented for Global Data Products

•    Support and align with the Data Governance community (Data Governance Directors, and Data Stewards) to ensure alignment and best practice sharing

     YOU’RE GOOD AT

•    Identifying the main gaps and opportunities to pursue within HR data. Harmonising definitions and data flows across all functions and geographies and identifying global issues with critical data attributes/elements.

•    Leading activities related to the HR Data Governance strategy, including: Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Data Architecture, and informing Data Product development priorities

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

About The Team

About the Job

As a senior member of the Analytics team, you will partner with Product Managers, Marketing Leaders and fellow Analysts to understand, report on, and help optimize a roadmap that fuels growth, explores new business opportunities, and finds incremental value for the organization. What You’ll Do

  • Build a holistic understanding of our product, customers, data, and business goals, centered on growth of our subscription and nascent ads business.
  • Leverage complex, large volume, high-dimension data, extracted using a variety of sources, tools and analysis techniques to create and deliver analytic insights to a team of cross-functional partners

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of data analytics experience in consumer internet, mobile, or digital product domains.
  • Proven experience with Live, High-Audience Mobile B2C Apps preferred. 
    • Experience with subscription business models is a plus. 
    • Experience with location data is also a plus.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SQL. 
    • Preferably expertise in leveraging big data and cloud-based technologies (MySQL, AWS, Presto, Athena, Redshift, Hive, Teradata).
  • Python/R or equivalent data wrangling, scripting and reporting experience with high volume data sets.
    • Experience with Amplitude is a bonus, but not required. 
  • Demonstrated impact from working with stakeholders to translate strategic business and product questions into successful analytic projects.
  • Proven ability to tell a story with data and visualization tools to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.

Senior Data Analyst

As a member of our Analytics Team, you will play a crucial role in delivering valuable insights and driving data-driven decision-making for our clients. Responsibilities

  • Define, lead, and execute client engagements that produce novel financial, administrative, and/or clinical insights and outcomes.
  • Evaluate/scope customer needs, coordinate the design of solutions, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex subjects.
  • Aggregate, re-structure, and curate customer data in preparation for analysis.
  • Develop compelling business intelligence (BI), data visualizations, and data storytelling that provide both executive and staff guidance on performance.
  • Manage projects to define, scope, and deliver advanced use cases and analytics solutions.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve the team's processes, deliverables, and analytical capabilities. Lead and develop thought leadership initiatives.

Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of working experience or a Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience designing and delivering business intelligence and analytics solutions.
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to tell an effective story with the data through strong presentation skills

    Position: 

    We are looking for a data analyst to support the Glooko Data Products team. This includes:
