You will work on a fast-paced, impact-driven project team charged with intelligently improving the operations powering the policies and programs that Americans interact with on a daily basis. About the role:

You will play a critical role in supporting a digital marketing solution for several high-profile websites run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The (Senior) Data Analyst will work with a team to produce dynamic, personalized email and SMS campaigns to deliver information relevant to each customer. You should have experience working in a cross-functional team of partners in which you were responsible for email performance analysis.


In this position you will:

  • Analyze data from disparate data sources to distill human-centered operations and processes into meaningful insights
  • Evaluate and improve the performance and effectiveness of large-scale healthcare related directly addressable (email, SMS, autodial, etc) outreach systems.
  • Think strategically about data analysis and data management to create systematic methods of measuring performance across complex systems and technical implementations
  • Develop KPIs and metrics that address root problems and develop compelling visualizations to allow clients to easily understand challenges and take a clear action
  • Check, clean and transform incoming data for data pipelines 
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, program managers and external stakeholders to troubleshoot problems and proactively create solutions.
  • Strive to support team excellence by developing high quality documentation.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver accurate products on short deadlines.
  • Such other reasonable tasks as may be assigned by management. 


What we are seeking:

  • 2+ years of work experience working with structured/unstructured data
  • Proficient understanding of how to manipulate data using SQL or Python.
  • Proficiency in one or more general or statistical programming languages such as Python, Ruby or R – and/or interest in learning new ones.
  • Experience going from insight to impact: Using the results of your analysis to tell a story through visualization, presentation, and writing. 
  • Experience developing solutions that blend data-driven decision-making with thoughtful understanding of human-centered design/processes
  • Proficiency in automating repeatable tasks. 
  • Experience creating informative and engaging data visualizations.
  • Experience with data related to secure cloud-based digital engagement systems is certainly a plus
  • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative field or equivalent technical training.

Responsibilities


The Junior Developer’s primary professional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Implementing and maintaining Landing Zone for new and returning customers
  • Creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining data processing pipelines in Apache Airflow (ETL work)
  • Writing SQL queries against many different types of databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres) to extract data
  • Running reports and exports in edTech source systems as well as Landing Zone infrastructure to perform data validation checks and communicate those back to our customers
  • Maintaining Landing Zone documentation to ensure it is always up-to-date and reflects how integrations function.
  • Deploying code updates across the Landing Zone customer base
  • Assisting in the deployment of infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform for new customers
  • Assisting in the development of a historical/longitudinal data storage system (data warehouse)
  • Responding to customer support tickets (this is a shared responsibility on our team)
  • Working with internal systems such as JIRA, Asana, Slack to stay organized and ensure communication with team members
  • Other duties as assigned 


What to expect in the hiring process:

  • An introductory phone call with a Manager
  • A coding project that will take about 2 hours. This will be in Python and be related to processing data.
  • A project review and feedback call with two developers
  • Final round interviews, likely including our Executive Director


The range for this position will be $58,500 to $75,000.  Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Landing Zone, a project at InnovateEDU, provides school districts with a comprehensive cloud-based data infrastructure through the implementation of an Ed-Fi Operational Data Store (ODS), data mart for analytics in Google BigQuery, and the necessary data workflows in Apache Airflow to connect previously siloed, disparate educational data systems. Landing Zone simplifies a district's process to implement an Ed-Fi ODS, connecting Ed-Fi certified data sources and consuming non-Ed-Fi certified data once it has been aligned to the standard. This project heavily focuses on data engineering, backend work, dev ops, and data analytics tools to verify data.

Our statistical research identifies areas where we can better assess the impact of various factors in the campaign and polling areas. Our fast-paced, impact-driven team conducts innovative analysis to support our clients’ work. About the Role:

Data Analysts are instrumental members of BlueLabs Data Science and engagement teams. They gain exposure to all parts of our process, from collecting and organizing data, to analyzing trends and predicting outcomes, and working with clients to understand how these insights can be used to improve program efficiency. Data Analysts are able to work both as part of a team and independently, completing projects in a fast-paced environment, error-free, and on short deadlines. You will receive strong mentorship and be given a chance to complete projects independently.

  • Support the team in building predictive models, tools, and data visualizations

  • The ability to create informative and engaging data visualizations using industry leading tools
  • The ability to build predictive models using regression and machine learning techniques
  • The ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience, both in writing and verbally
  • Knowledge of experimental design and causal inference
  • The ability to create user interfaces for new products using frameworks such as Shiny or Django

We are looking for a full-time Data Analyst based in Denver but will consider a remote position for an exceptional candidate. As our Data Analyst you will contribute to OTA Insight’s success through providing technical expertise to interpret data and present the full picture. We are looking for someone who is able to contribute to building effective Sales strategies through data analysis to capitalise on revenue opportunities. Your focus is to transform data into readable, goal-driven recommendations for continued innovation and growth. In this role you will be reporting to our Global Director of Revenue Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Bring technical expertise to the team by proactively analyzing data as a means to answering questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity that helps Revenue Operations provide data driven insights and actionable recommendations

  • You will need an insatiable curiosity for data analysis and eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement

  • Collaborate with peers to improve the quality and accuracy of data starting from input and throughout the operational lifecycle

  • Identify data to analyze, collect the data, clean the data in preparation for analysis, analyze the data, and interpret the results of the analysis

  • Provide descriptive analysis telling us what happened, diagnostic analysis telling us why it happened, predictive analytics forming recommendations for future tactics to drive revenue, and prescriptive analysis delivering actionable recommendations

  • Share results of the analysis in a distilled down, digestible format that can be clearly actioned against by your audience

  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources

  • Collaborate with our Data Analytics team to develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets

  • Ongoing development and management of TAM reporting and communicating actionable recommendations

  • Identify crucial enhancement requirements to the sales process that will lead to higher revenue results

  • Prioritise your work and set appropriate expectations with stakeholders
