Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our small, focused engineering team responsible for the Digital Theatre+ product and associated services (https://edu.digitaltheatreplus.com).

As part of a team of four engineers, you will have a direct impact on both the technical direction and the success of our business and platform. 

The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who is comfortable with full ownership of projects, can learn and adapt to existing systems, and has a strong balance of front-end and back-end experience using the technologies in our stack.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the stakeholders and the product team to design, develop, and maintain robust web applications while being responsible for both architecture and hands-on coding. 

As part of a small team, you’ll need to be flexible and able to contribute across the stack while collaborating with other developers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

1. Lead architecture and system design for scalable web applications in existing multi-tenant projects
2. Develop secure, accessible software solutions following established patterns and principles appropriate to the project context
3. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines
4. Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
5. Implement and manage authentication and authorisation, including:
   1. Protocols: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language)
   2. Methods: Password-based authentication, Multi-factor authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Token-based authentication, Magic links / Passwordless authentication, JWT (JSON Web Tokens)
   3. Frameworks: Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Rule-Based Access Control
   4. Session Management: Cookie-based sessions, Token-based sessions
   5. API Security: API Keys, OAuth 2.0 scopes
   6. Identity Providers (IdPs) and Federation: Commercial IdPs (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta, Auth0); Academic and Research Federations: InCommon (US), UK Access Management Federation, eduGAIN (global interfederation service)
6. Work with a wide range of AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, RDS Aurora, EventBridge, Fargate, etc.).
7. Develop infrastructure-as-code using Terraform/Terragrunt or Serverless Framework.
8. Ensure WCAG compliance and web application performance (including lighthouse metrics).
9. Integrate with Contentful, HubSpot, and Okta.
10. Monitor and maintain system observability with alerting and metrics.
11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions.
12. Take ownership of projects and solutions, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.

2. Deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, React, Nest.js, and TailwindCSS.
3. Strong experience in AWS (DynamoDB, Lambda, RDS, SNS, SQS, ElasticSearch, EventBridge, Step Functions, API Gateway).
4. Proficiency with GraphQL, REST, and web application security best practices.
5. Experience with Terraform/Terragrunt, Serverless Framework, or SST.
6. Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.
7. Familiarity with performance optimisation tools such as Lighthouse.
8. Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG compliance).
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to take ownership of solutions.
10. Experience integrating with third-party platforms like Contentful, HubSpot, and Okta.
11. Familiarity with modern CI/CD and testing frameworks.
12. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred

1. Experience with Yarn, NX, monolith and microservices architectures.
2. Experience with both RDS Aurora MySQL and Postgres.
3. Experience with Gitlab for Git, CI/CD and Issue Management.
4. Experience with Education Technology, including Learning Tool Interoperability.

You will manage ongoing and time-sensitive Product Operations support for product functions in our ECS Direct-to-Consumer portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in product operations, operations strategy, product analytics, data analyst, or similar systems analytical roles that worked with Product and Engineering teams.

• Adept in SQL, Excel (can perform complex functions) , Python, and data tables – experience working with big data and writing advanced PostgreSQL queries (AWS Redshift & DynamoDB experience).

• Experience working with data visualization and business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau).

• Experience with Serverless Computing systems (e.g. AWS Lambda, Microsoft Azure Functions, IBM OpenWhisk).

 • Knowledge in Agile software tools (e.g Jira) and methodologies.

 • Excellent technical knowledge, curiosity, and familiarity with new technologies, APIs, programming languages, and databases.

• Experience with complex direct-to-consumer products and systems.

• Architect and design robust, scalable, and secure back-end systems and APIs, optimized for cloud environments

• Design and optimize database schemas, write complex queries, and ensure data integrity and performance

• Integrate third-party services and APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality

• Develop and deploy applications on AWS and Azure, utilizing cloud services to enhance performance, scalability, and security

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and best practices

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience in back-end development, with a strong portfolio of successful projects

• Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)

• Proficiency in server-side languages (e.g., Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, Node.js) and frameworks (e.g., Django)

• Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs

• Deep understanding of security best practices and experience implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms

• Extensive experience with AWS and Azure services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, and Azure Functions

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at HireVue, you’ll be a key player in making software happen, from the early design stages to the hands of our users. You will be empowered to influence how our products are forged for real world value. 

You’ll be in a very hands-on development role collaborating with your team to enhance and extend the leading HireVue platform. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Help drive development of the HireVue Interviewing Product Line, ensuring that we’re utilizing the best development techniques, patterns, frameworks and libraries for the team’s initiatives owned by you and/or peers

Qualifications

We’re looking for an experienced, full-stack engineer. More specifically, we’re looking for:

• Someone with experience designing, building, deploying, supporting SaaS products in a cloud-based world. You should have strong knowledge of:

  • Cloud Services and Best Practices (AWS)

  • Multiple platforms and languages (C#/.NET, Python, React, etc)

  • RESTFul APIs and MVC Web Patterns

  • Docker and virtualization technologies 

  • Operational Monitoring, Instrumentation, and Diagnostics 

• Someone who understands fundamental computer science concepts. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have a CS degree. You should be able to describe technical design options, engineering trade-offs, making technical recommendations and decisions that balance performance and elegance with delivery and functional outcomes

• Someone with a firm grasp of SQL and databases in general (including non-relational databases). You should know about CRUD patterns, relational design, what indexes are and why they matter, and the difference between a left join and an inner join.

• Someone to work hand in hand with Product and UX, to design solutions that deliver business value and delight customers.

Required Qualifications:

• Due to responsibilities of this role that require elevated access to production data, the successful candidate for this position must be a US-based US citizen.

• B.S. in Computer Science (or related field), equivalent trade school degree, or equivalent work experience.

• 5+ years in a software engineering role

• Strong proficiency with most or all languages and technologies listed below

• Experience working effectively in a global virtual environment 

• Ability to design and code scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud applications.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker)

• Understanding of security best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS and/or Software Development certifications

• Experience building software on a complex platform

• Experience Mentoring Others

Position Summary 

As the Senior Manager of Data Engineering, you will be accountable for delivering impactful data solutions that align with company objectives. This includes strong collaboration with product, and analytics teams, with a focus on data-driven impact and scalability. In this role, you will lead the data engineering team, ensuring seamless execution of data roadmaps and fostering engineering excellence. As a leader of leaders, you will mentor managers, team leads, and architects, empowering them to build high-performing teams dedicated to creating valuable data products. 

What will you do: 

• Work with Product and Analytics teams to define and implement a strategic data roadmap that includes advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities. Champion data-mesh principles to enable decentralized ownership and accessibility across teams. 

• Design and oversee scalable, robust data architectures and ETL pipelines, leveraging AWS services like Redshift, Glue, and Lambda, ensuring support for machine learning, advanced analytics, and governance. 

• Partner closely with data scientists and analytics teams to create data infrastructures that support real-time analytics and ML model deployment, delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions. 

• Drive initiatives to enhance data security, stability, and governance, establishing frameworks that uphold quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance across ATPCO’s data ecosystem. 

• Mentor and lead multiple teams of data engineers and analytics professionals, fostering technical growth and a shared commitment to data quality. Encourage innovative approaches to data automation and performance tuning. 

• Continuously refine data engineering practices for efficiency and resilience, optimizing workflows and monitoring costs within the AWS environment, with a focus on scalable, automated data solutions. 

• Foster a culture that values innovation and experimentation, empowering teams to explore new techniques in data, analytics, and AI, including generative AI models. 

• Ensure the operational health and performance of data products in cloud environments, maintaining high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization across all services. 

• Establish a data lake, data mesh, and advanced data modeling-first approach, creating well-structured data practices with an API-driven methodology that improves usability and governance. 

• Own and lead internal data analytics platforms, collaborating with finance and operations to identify cost optimization opportunities, manage data product P&L, and establish benchmarks for data-driven outcomes. 

What will make you a great fit: 

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering roles focused on high-volume, complex data applications, with 5+ years in people leadership. 

• Proven ability to build and manage high-quality data products and infrastructure, with experience leading cross-functional teams in complex data environments. 

• Technical expertise in a wide range of AWS services, including Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, EC2, API Gateway, serverless technologies, and container services such as ECS and EKS, integrated with data orchestration tools. Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala, plus experience with ML frameworks. 

• Experience with database management (RDBMS, NoSQL, graph databases) and big data frameworks, including Apache Spark and Hadoop, showcasing your ability to design and optimize complex data architectures and process large-scale data efficiently. 

• Strong communication skills to align cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Familiarity with airline or travel industry data needs is advantageous. 

• Track record of fostering inclusive environments that encourage innovation, teamwork, and diverse perspectives. 

Other Preferred Qualifications: 

• Proficiency in cloud-native data services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable data infrastructure.
