Job Description

We are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our team. 

The Software QA Analyst is an active contributor in Realty ONE Group’s SDLC and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality/defect-free software applications. This role is expected to lead and assist the overall testing efforts as well as ensuring appropriate processes, methods, and tools are utilized in support of the functional and quality requirements of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant quality assurance experience in a technical environment, have excellent communication skills, and be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the application development team to build tools and frameworks for automated testing
  • Write and maintain test automation and develop quality assurance standards that meet the requirements of the end-users and the Development management
  • Execute component-level to user acceptance test plans and test cases, both automated and manual
  • Work closely with developers, project manager, customer service and other team members to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects; verify problem fixes in a detailed, efficient, and timely manner
  • Propose time estimates prior to execution of test cases.
  • Ensure testing activities validate that the applications meet business and technical requirements, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
  • Conduct front and back-end testing on all new software to ensure that integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications
  • Conduct front and back-end testing on applications for mobile devices (iOS and Android)
  • Document detailed test results and effectively communicate to the team information about defects and issues found during testing
  • Identify, manage, and track bugs found in new releases of software, reproduce production bugs in a test environment and document the steps required to duplicate the issue
  • Defect/testing results documentation and tracking within the JIRA and Confluence software

Optional Responsibilities

  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, write specifications
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
  • Provide consulting support for business users
  • Develop, implement, and perform user acceptance testing plans to ensure successful delivery of a project

Qualifications

  • 3+ years Quality Assurance experience
  • 3+ years working with a Software Development Team or Department
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of MS Office Applications
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence as a defect management and tracking tool
  • Experience in Agile/Waterfall Methodologies
  • Experience with automated test tools and test case management tools
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

About the role

We’re looking for an ambitious and driven individual with the desire to take on a fast-track career-growth challenge at Karshare. You will come in as our QA Analyst working closely with the rest of our QA team and the larger product & technology teams. Although expectations are to hit the ground running, there will be ample support provided to develop yourself into a more senior and eventually QA Lead role.

This role is perfect for somebody who really wants to own the QA function and is looking for an opportunity to learn & progress into a Senior QA Analyst role. Key responsibilities

Immediate

  • Hands-on role / you need to love the nitty gritty of testing

  • Lead and drive the definition, preparation and execution of testing strategies

  • Represent QA in all Scrum activities

  • Help define and establish test management best practices including creation and maintenance of test cases, proactive regression testing and helping the business shift testing to the left

  • Manage QA progress reporting, defect tracking and resolution/fix procedure

  • Review and provide input to the project from a QA perspective in regards to levels of effort, duration and dependencies

  • Identify risks in the project and SDLC and communicate them with stakeholders

  • Streamline defect raising process across the business

Work towards

  • Lead test automation and technical testing

  • Supervise, mentor and support rest of the testing team

  • Measure how quality has increased by tracking reduction in defects and incidents, along with taking ownership of quality metrics and reports (e.g. what patterns have been identified, what is better automated, what is better left manual etc.)

The SSENSE tech team is looking for a highly talented QA Analyst who will be responsible for the governance and QA oversight across the Agile delivery teams with their allocated domain. RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Delivery (20%)

  • Attend all Scrum ceremonies of the assigned Agile development teams, up to 2 squads
  • Work closely with the Agile development team which includes Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders

Ownership & Accountability (40%)

Qualifications

Job Description

SSENSE is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our rapidly growing technology team. The Senior QA Analyst will act as subject matter expert and owner of the quality for all features developed by one to two squads. He/She will develop and implement software test strategies/plans, test procedures and test cases, ensuring QA best practices are applied properly 

and guiding developers to achieve optimal automation and functional test coverage. The Senior Analyst will lead and perform the manual testing, ensuring defects are identified and addressed prior to releasing the product and taking ownership of approving the software for release. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior and staff QAs in other squads and pillars to ensure the same vision of the QA practice is communicated and implemented. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Product delivery (20%)  

  • Understand in-depth business processes for multiple interconnected domain areas that are supported by the squad's systems, working with business lines to clarify and document 
  • Anticipate and communicate edge cases developers will have to cover 
  • Understand the product roadmap for multiple squads in details and influence it with fact-based technical arguments 
  • Design test strategies and implement/execute test cases in collaboration with other team members for complex features or domains 
  • Define functional test cases in the project’s repository and prepare complete test suites using Mocha/Chai ○ Perform code reviews on PRs submitted by Devs/SDT for all PRs related to automation in the squad(s) ○ Analyze user-stories and requirements and ensure they cover all areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

Job Description

SSENSE is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our rapidly growing technology team. The Senior QA Analyst will act as subject matter expert and owner of the quality for all features developed by one to two squads. He/She will develop and implement software test strategies/plans, test procedures and test cases, ensuring QA best practices are applied properly and guiding developers to achieve optimal automation and functional test coverage. The Senior Analyst will lead and perform the manual testing, ensuring defects are identified and addressed prior to releasing the product and taking ownership of approving the software for release. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior and staff QAs in other squads and pillars to ensure the same vision of the QA practice is communicated and implemented. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Product delivery (20%)  

  • Understand in-depth business processes for multiple interconnected domain areas that are supported by the squad's systems, working with business lines to clarify and document 
  • Anticipate and communicate edge cases developers will have to cover 
  • Understand the product roadmap for multiple squads in details and influence it with fact-based technical arguments 
  • Design test strategies and implement/execute test cases in collaboration with other team members for complex features or domains 
  • Define functional test cases in the project’s repository and prepare complete test suites using Mocha/Chai ○ Perform code reviews on PRs submitted by Devs/SDT for all PRs related to automation in the squad(s) ○ Analyze user-stories and requirements and ensure they cover all areas 
  • Participate in the development of test effort estimates 
  • Participate and assist with programs and initiatives that require system integration tests 
  • Install, configure, and maintain test environments, ensuring they are fully operational to conduct the various QA tasks 
  • Analyze and investigate test results and coverage reports using standardized QA processes 

Ownership and accountability (40%)

  • Be accountable for end-to-end product quality with developers 
  • Play an active role in advocating for quality with developers and implementing a QA assistance mindset
  • Take ownership of reproducing and following-up with issues reported to the squad's project from end-users ○ Be accountable for test and QA documentation 

Knowledge sharing and coaching  (25%)

  • Mentor team members as they learn about testing, helping them decrease time to production delivery and increase code quality and unit test coverage 
  • Actively contribute to SSENSE University, the internal peer learning platform, to train others at scale ○ Lead the onboarding of new QA members 

Recruiting (15%)

  • Participate to HR recruiting events, helping to identify and recruit top QA members 
  • Conduct interviews, document outcome and help raise the bar for offers we extend 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field 
  • Master’s degree, an asset 
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in software quality assurance working in a large-scale software development environment 
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in coaching and mentoring team members 
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in testing software for microservices architectures 
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in testing API's and web service technologies (REST, SOAP)
  • Ability to recommend several approaches to solving any assigned testing activities including the use of different combinations of testing tools and techniques 
  • Proficiency in Git 
  • Proficiency in using BDD structure of Mocha/Chai to define test suites and test cases for various projects
  • Proficiency with Cloud resources (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure) with the ability to operate them for the components owned, Certification preferred

    Job Description

    Our new QA Anlayst will join one of three teams at TripArc, each focused on one of the key elements of our distribution network (operators, agencies, suppliers).  All three teams are in growth mode as we expand development of new features and continue the process of migrating legacy code to new front-end frameworks and a microservices architecture, helping us to rapidly scale as the rush of new clients builds. Depending on the team you join, you may work on projects which enable our luxury travel advisors to create compelling travel experiences for their clients, optimize the products presented to our luxury travel advisors based on various factors, or work "behind the scenes" on the back-end of our software where the magic of mixing, matching and pricing happens.

    We converted to an Agile methodology a couple of years ago and are now a fully enabled Agile department that prioritizes work based on the value it brings to our clients. During each two-week sprint, our developers plan, write, test, integrate and bug fix while collaborating on teams with skilled Business Analyst, UX and product resources, which are dedicated to the team.     Our Stack

    We build our software on the Microsoft stack. Our web-based platforms utilize modern JavaScript frameworks such as Blazor, Angular (mostly) and React (legacy) over a Microsoft .NET Core MVC application base. We implement RESTful WebAPIs to interact with our relational database systems (such as SQL Server) using the Entity Framework. Additionally, our custom-built APIs also reach into our CMS and caching middleware.  Other technologies we work with include SOLR, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Couchbase, Docker, Cloudinary, GraphQL, Ingenico, AJAX, HTML5 and Bootstrap. We use the VS 2019 Pro IDE for development.

    The SSENSE tech team is looking for a highly talented QA Analyst who will be responsible for the governance and QA oversight across the Agile delivery teams with their allocated domain. The QA Analyst will be the point of contact for Agile teams in the matter of Test activities, Environments, and Coaching QA best practices, coordinating across other Agile teams and/or domains to ensure quality and testing are executed to deliver high-quality software on time.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Product Delivery (20%)

    • Attend all Scrum ceremonies of the assigned Agile development teams, up to 2 squads
    • Work closely with the Agile development team which includes Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders
    • Analyze and perform ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents

    Ownership & Accountability (40%)

    • Own the quality of the product delivered by the assigned Agile development team(s), reviewing the creation, preparation, maintenance, execution of test plans, and test scripts
    • Conduct quality assurance reviews on team deliverables and existing features for completeness and correctness
    • Review and address corrective actions to ensure that root causes are addressed for every bug
    • Coach the team of Developers on best practices to deliver against quality targets

    Quality Strategy (20%)

    • Plan testing schedules and assignments, escalating time projections during the planning phase
    • Identify potential test candidates for automation in collaboration with the Tech Lead and Product Manager of the assigned Agile development team(s), escalating during the planning phase
    • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Lead and/or Automation team for prioritization, monitoring the progress and keeping the Agile development team(s) in the loop

    Support (20%)

    • Use business knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems
    • Gather data for quality assurance auditing from the assigned Agile Development teams and communicate to Senior QA Analyst
    • Coach and mentor more junior team members
    • Participate in the hiring process and on-boarding process for new hires

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field
    • Master’s degree, further education or experience in engineering, computer science, an asset
    • 3 - 5 years experience in versatile Quality Assurance roles
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a  Coach/Train/Mentor on QA principles
    • Experience working in an Agile environment

      • Define functional test cases in the project’s repository and prepare complete test suites using Mocha/Chai ○ Perform code reviews on PRs submitted by Devs/SDT for all PRs related to automation in the squad(s) ○ Analyze user-stories and requirements and ensure they cover all areas 
      • Participate in the development of test effort estimates 
      • Participate and assist with programs and initiatives that require system integration tests

      Qualifications

      • Define functional test cases in the project’s repository and prepare complete test suites using Mocha/Chai ○ Perform code reviews on PRs submitted by Devs/SDT for all PRs related to automation in the squad(s) ○ Analyze user-stories and requirements and ensure they cover all areas 
      • Participate in the development of test effort estimates 
      • Participate and assist with programs and initiatives that require system integration tests 
      • Install, configure, and maintain test environments, ensuring they are fully operational to conduct the various QA tasks 
      • Analyze and investigate test results and coverage reports using standardized QA processes 

      Ownership and accountability (40%)

      • Be accountable for end-to-end product quality with developers 
      • Play an active role in advocating for quality with developers and implementing a QA assistance mindset
      • Take ownership of reproducing and following-up with issues reported to the squad's project from end-users ○ Be accountable for test and QA documentation 

      Knowledge sharing and coaching  (25%)

      • Mentor team members as they learn about testing, helping them decrease time to production delivery and increase code quality and unit test coverage 
      • Actively contribute to SSENSE University, the internal peer learning platform, to train others at scale ○ Lead the onboarding of new QA members 

      Recruiting (15%)

      • Participate to HR recruiting events, helping to identify and recruit top QA members 
      • Conduct interviews, document outcome and help raise the bar for offers we extend 

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field 
      • Master’s degree, an asset 
      • A minimum of 7 years experience in software quality assurance working in a large-scale software development environment 
      • A minimum of 2 years experience in coaching and mentoring team members 
      • A minimum of 4 years experience in testing software for microservices architectures 
      • A minimum of 4 years experience in testing API's and web service technologies (REST, SOAP)
      • Ability to recommend several approaches to solving any assigned testing activities including the use of different combinations of testing tools and techniques 
      • Proficiency in Git 
      • Proficiency in using BDD structure of Mocha/Chai to define test suites and test cases for various projects
      • Proficiency with Cloud resources (AWS/Google Cloud/Azure) with the ability to operate them for the components owned, Certification preferred 
      • Ability to use containers and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, Giant Swarm, etc.) 
      • Experience in RDBMS and NoSQL databases 
      • Experience with Deployment methods (Docker, Vagrant) 
      • Experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, Agile ceremonies 
      • Bilingual in French and English
