Job Description

The Sales Development Representative is typically the first person a prospective customer will interact with as part of the sales process. Casebook’s Sales Development organization is responsible for outbound prospecting with a focus on nonprofit and local government organizations. This position plays a vital role in driving Casebook’s mission of empowering human services to better serve their communities by expanding access to innovative technology solutions. The SDR III takes a leading role in the organization as both a top achiever and mentor to other SDRs. This position requires high-achieving experience in sales development as well as familiarity with the markets Casebook PBC serves. 

The Casebook platform supports human services and social services workers engaged in making people’s lives better.  We are looking for individuals who are passionate about leveraging technology to solve human services challenges and can clearly articulate how Casebook can address the needs of our customers.  Our ideal candidate has a strong sense of mission and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences, therefore, empowering our clients to achieve impactful outcomes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and make outreach to organizations in the US and Canada that meet Casebook’s ideal customer profile

  • Use a data-driven approach to prioritize and engage prospects, leveraging account-based sales strategies to develop and execute a prospecting plan that supports the company’s annual lead generation goals and targets high-value organizations.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success and other teams to maximize lead generation potential

  • Contribute to building a 3x pipeline in order to achieve annual team revenue goals

  • Customize outreach messaging to resonate with nonprofits and government stakeholders, focusing on their unique challenges in human services.

  • Use tools like Hubspot, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and connect with prospective customers

  • Travel approximately 6x per year for conferences, team meetings, or company-wide offsites

Qualifications

 

  • At least two years of outbound sales development/business development experience with a strong track record to meet or exceed outbound activity and pipeline generation targets, with specific examples of past quota attainment.

  • Nonprofit or Government sales experience (experience working in human services at a nonprofit organization or government agency is also acceptable)

  • Ability to manage time effectively while working from a home/remote office

  • Must work well as part of a team 

  • MUST have access to a connection fast enough for video and VoIP calls – (25mbps+)

  • Ability to travel occasionally (10%)

  • Experience working in a CRM such as Hubspot

  • Allowed to work in the US

Comp Range for the position is $60-$75k USD base salary + Commissions + Benefits + 401k

  • Execute core SDR tasks, including performing outbound sales activities, qualifying inbound leads, and facilitating the scheduling of sales meetings between sales executives and potential customers to drive pipeline growth and engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance using CRM and other tools, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data entry and reporting, and providing actionable feedback to improve results.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions with SDRs to provide feedback, track progress, and support professional development.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to align on lead qualification criteria, optimize lead handoff processes, and adjust outreach strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Support SDRs with complex lead qualification efforts, helping them navigate challenging conversations and identify high-potential opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to enhance the team’s strategies.
  • Track and analyze the progression and results of inbound and outbound campaigns, presenting status reports to the Director of Business Development, Global Marketing, and other stakeholders while using insights to refine future strategies.
  • Maintain a personal contribution to lead generation efforts by proactively engaging with potential customers, supporting team objectives, and representing Shiji at key events, including assisting with setup and customer interactions to enhance engagement and strengthen brand presence.
  • Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to enhance the team’s strategies and ensure long-term success.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in sales lead generation, digital marketing, business development or related roles, with a focus on supporting sales objectives.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing a team, with proven success in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members to achieve performance goals.  
  • Proven ability to drive new business and execute sales strategies, focusing on identifying and nurturing customers to expand market reach and achieve growth targets
  • Experience with developing and executing outbound and inbound marketing campaigns, with strong analytical skills to track, analyze, and optimize performance. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset to assess team and campaign performance and implement improvements effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present insights and strategies clearly to stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

        The Sales Development Representative is responsible for qualifying prospective clients, transitioning them to client acquisition and acquiring new accounts by calling on leads, to meet monthly sales target. This position will also respond to customer inquiries for information on the company's products and services and help to qualify potential sales prospects through a variety of lead nurturing activities. 

        Essential Job Functions: 

        • Achieve monthly quota of Qualified Leads (demos, appointments) by initiating calls to prospective clients each day. 
        • Report and record all activities in the CRM system and qualify leads for sales development. 
        • Accurately record sales and summarize interaction with customers. 
        • Process new customer applications and accounts. 
        • Target new accounts daily to build sales pipeline. 
        • Prepare and qualify targeted prospect accounts/leads by utilizing internal criteria. 
        • Send emails and make prospecting calls, to peak interest in learning more about Spear Education products and services. 
        • Manage lead, opportunity and development pipeline in the CRM.

        The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a key role in the Inside Sales and Marketing organizations by qualifying new sales leads and building pipeline. The role focuses on inbound and outbound lead generation and qualified opportunity creation. This includes leveraging various cold prospecting activities and strategies to generate outbound sales leads and opportunities for CoreSite’s assigned sales region(s). It also includes warm follow up and qualifying inbound leads from marketing activities and assigning to the regional sales teams per our rules of engagement. We are looking for motivated self-starters that are willing to work hard, learn, and who are interested in starting a technology-based sales career. Hybrid work environment, in office two days per week.

        We are currently hiring for a 3-month contract that does have the possibility to extend.

        Duties:

        · Learn and understand CoreSite’s offerings and competitive advantage.

        · Develop a personalized CoreSite pitch and product pitches.

        · Understand target prospect personas including titles, job responsibilities, company size, industry/verticals, annual revenues and more. Build contact prospecting lists based on knowledge of target audience and personas.

        · Understand assigned regional industries, top companies, metro areas, data center locations, competitors and other data. Build account prospecting lists based on knowledge of the region and surrounding metros.

        · Generate outbound sales leads and qualify opportunities by leveraging SDR sales training, strategies, platforms and marketing resources. Maintain prescribed monthly frequency for cold calls, cold emails and social media outreach.

        · Follow-up and convert inbound sales leads (website forms, inbound calls and referrals) into qualified opportunities. Assign opportunities to the correct regions, sales VPs and sales representatives based on CoreSite’s rules of engagement (ROE).

        · Attend assigned regional sales calls and provide updates on current inbound and outbound activity, campaigns and programs. Provide sales prospecting support for regional VPs and sales representatives.

        · Collaborate with individual sales representatives in assigned region(s) to generate target account lists to prospect on their behalf. Set meetings and appoints for senior sales representatives in assigned region(s).

        · Provide critical feedback to the inside sales and marketing team on campaign success, quality of inbound leads, SDR tools and platforms.

        · Occasionally travel to tradeshows, to provide booth support, badge scanning (~25% Travel), and to other CoreSite offices
