The Basics:

Directorof Contracts will support the rapid growth of our business in the Americas by providing legal support to our sales, marketing, and operations teams. You will provide support in the negotiation and creation of end user, and guidance and advice on all commercial legal activity for the international business. In addition you will be working alongside the Sr. Director of Contracts (or their designee) for the Americas, this is a highly autonomous role and as such you will be empowered to make decisions on the contractual positions to be applied such as data privacy-related terms, the breadth, depth and scope of contractual warranties, indemnities, and liabilities, all in accordance with corporate guidance and policies, and in consultation with the Sr. Director of Contracts (or their designee). 

What you’ll do:

  • Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial end user agreements including software license and support agreements, services agreements, evaluation agreements and non-disclosure agreements  
  • Review agreements and spot check for IP concerns, revenue recognition concerns and non-standard contractual obligations  
  • Work with US Legal and Sr. Director of Contracts (or their designee) on various matters as needed, including vendor contracts advising and guiding our international teams on all contractual and legal issues related to driving revenue  
  • Ensure Tanium contracting engagements are transacted with the highest of ethical standards  
  • Oversee the full life-cycle of contract activities (RFQ – Contract Management)  
  • Work with Sr. Director of Contracts (or their designee) to develop and maintain localized templates  
  • Implement and follow negotiation and playbook policies and strategies  
  • Utilize various contract repositories, contract lifecycle tools, and electronic signature tools (training is provided)  
  • Administer and communicate non-standard contractual obligations to sales and technical teams  
  • Prepare and deliver contract training materials for sales and technical teams  
  • Prepare executive level summaries and escalations for all contract types 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of extensive experience in direct end-user negotiations 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Salesforce   
  • Demonstrable contracts experience professional in a corporate setting  
  • Knowledge of local law and regulations including GDPR   
  • Experience in proposal responses, contract negotiations, and contract performance; must be able to communicate with all levels of management and customer personnel clearly and effectively  
  • Strong writing and negotiation skills, willingness to work hard, and a desire for significant responsibility, client interaction, and teamwork with sales and other internal departments  
  • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple negotiations while simultaneously collaborating with Sr. Director of Contracts (or their designee) regularly and other extended team members

The Director, Strategic Partner Accounts will be instrumental in working with the largest and most strategic national and global partners to gain mindshare, increase technical, sales and services capabilities to achieve our sales targets. This person will deliver strategic business plans and be responsible for ensuring partners are skilled to both sell and deliver services in support of their Tanium business.

 

What you’ll do

• Be the single point of contact and fully accountable to grow the most strategic partners within a large regional or global level.

• Be fully responsible for driving and delivering new customer and ARR growth across all business and go-to-market motions of strategic partner.

• Develop and execute advanced business plans that include detailed sales, marketing, technical and services strategies.

• Develop executive level relationships between both companies to increase their investment and focus in their Tanium business. 

• Work with partner to help them develop Tanium based services to support their sales efforts and their customers

• Educate Tanium sales teams on partners unique value propositions and coach them on how to work with this partner to increase their productivity

• Educate/enable partner technical resources to identify, discuss and promote Tanium internally as well as in customer conversations

• Have a deep understanding of Tanium technology and value and be able to effectively deliver to both customers and partners

• Possess an in-depth knowledge of each strategic partner business and what drives their success. Demonstrate value by aligning a relevant value proposition from Tanium with the partner's strategy and objective 

• Have a maniacal focus on successful customer outcomes through partners 

 

We’re looking for someone with:

Experience:

- Minimum 7 years of experience in a national/global partner sales role in the IT Operations and/or IT Security industry required

- Experience working with large enterprise focused integrators, MSPs or GSI with deep technical and services knowledge preferred 

- Experience creating a geographic partner business across national or global partnerships required 

- Experience as a quota carrying seller or business development position with a successful track record strongly preferred

 

Other:

- Deep understanding of how to create and execute services strategies with large partner organizations.

- Existing C-level relationships with large SI and GSI partners around the world

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate independently while managing internal and external stakeholder relationships

- Ability to enthusiastically evangelize the Tanium message to strategic partners and their customers

- Desire to own all parts of a partner lifecycle, starting with profiling/recruitment

  • Proactively work with partner sales and Tanium sales teams to identify accounts and win new and expansion business
  • Work with partner and Tanium resources to make sure contracting vehicles are in place and constantly identify future contracts opportunities
  • Educate Tanium sales teams on partners unique value propositions and coach them on how to work with partners to increase their productivity
  • Plan, coordinate and execute meetings/workshops to train our partners (sales and engineers) how to identify, pitch, demo and implement Tanium
  • Develop and execute regional marketing programs/events/campaigns/sales plays with Tanium and partner marketing/sales teams to create interest and drive demand for Tanium products and services. Measure and deliver ROI metrics for all activities
  • Proactively maintain ongoing knowledge of industry, territory, existing and target partner accounts, & competitive landscape
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of each strategic partner business and what drives their success. Demonstrate value by aligning a relevant value proposition from Tanium with the partner's strategy and objectives

 

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a regional or national partner sales role, focused on the SLED vertical (required).
    • Candidates living in the Chicago, IL area are highly preferred.
    • Understand and have complete knowledge of SLED Contract vehicles.
    • Experience working with SLED Distributorsand top Central region SLED channel and Government Integrators (Accenture, SAIC, Deloitte)
    • Experience building an efficient and effective SLED Channel/GSI/Disti programto support SLED Sellers.
    • Experience working with value added resellers, system integrators, or MSPs, and a strong understanding of how these companies deliver services in the SLED vertical.
    • Experience working for a national services-led company, such as a VAR or system integrator strongly preferred.
    • Experience creating and successfully managing a SLED based regional or national partner.
    • Strong knowledge of procurement vehicles (local, regional, national) across the SLED market segments
    • Experience as a quota carrying sales rep or business development position with a successful track record strongly preferred
    • Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Masters preferred
  • Other:
    • Proactive style, capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with technical, business development, sales, and executive roles
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate independently while managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
    • Ability to enthusiastically evangelize the Tanium message to strategic partners and their customers
    • Desire to own all parts of a partner lifecycle, starting with profiling/recruitment

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 to $245,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.

DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC PARTNER ACCOUNTS (Insight/Trace3)

The Basics:

Tanium’s partner ecosystem plays an important role in helping our customers transform their IT operations using our paradigm-shifting technology. Going beyond transaction-focused product resale, our symbiotic relationships with consultancies and systems integrators drive new business and expansion within existing customers.

The Director of Strategic Partner Accounts will work with Insight and Trace3 to gain mindshare, increase technical, sales and services capabilities to achieve our sales targets. This person will work with Tanium’s Regional Partner Sales team to consistently engage & execute in each sales region.  This role will own, develop, and execute the Business Plans with his/her partner(s). Business plan will include an agreed upon partner created and Tanium created quarterly sales and pipeline targets, an enablement plan and marketing plan needed to achieve goals.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute National Partner Business Plans for Insight and Trace3.
  • Candidates living in the Phoenix, AZ area are highly preferred.
  • Develop executive level relationships between both companies to increase their investment and focus on their Tanium business.
  • Work with Insight and Trace3 to help them develop Tanium based advisory, deployment, integration, & managed services to support sales efforts, customers & maximize partner margins.
  • Integrate Tanium into their labs so they can demo Tanium to their customers & prospects.
  • Proactively work with regional partner sales to develop regional plans that drive alignment with our field teams, increase partner field based technical and sales capabilities and win business with targeted customers.
  • Educate Tanium sales teams on partners unique value propositions and coach them on how to work with this partner to increase their productivity.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings/workshops to train Insight and Trace3 to how identify, pitch, demo and implement Tanium.

    • Experience creating a national or global partnership required.
    • Experience as a quota carrying sales rep for global accounts strongly preferred.
  • Other:
    • Proactive style, capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with executive, sales, business development, & technical roles
    • Ability to gain trust & mindshare of Insight and Trace3 executives, sales leaders & sellers.
