As Senior Revenue Accountant, you will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting and be responsible for analyzing and reviewing complex revenue transactions, as well as continually refining our revenue recognition policies, and drive revenue related month-end close activities. You will provide direction on technical revenue accounting issues, drive internal and external reporting related to revenue accounting, and explain the accounting impact to your partners on various teams including Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, and Finance during the contract negotiation process. 

What you’ll do:

  • Perform revenue recognition activities including application of relevant GAAP to arrangements
  • Review customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards and summarize customer agreements with non-standard terms impacting revenue recognition
  • Review draft customer contracts and guide the business on deal structuring and expected revenue recognition outcomes of various structures.  This task often has very short deadlines requiring re-prioritizing of your calendar.
  • Manage monthly revenue-related tasks and analysis including monthly revenue close processes (e.g. reconcile revenue, reserves, deferred revenue, etc.)
  • Prepare journal entries to record appropriate revenue treatment in accordance with ASC 606
  • Conduct technical accounting research and provide guidance on revenue recognition matters, ensuring Company’s compliance with ASC 606 guidelines.
  • Review and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with the adoption of SOX controls
  • Support internal and external auditors during interim reviews and year-end audits, addressing any revenue-related inquiries or issues
  • Identify areas for process improvements in revenue accounting and contribute to their implementation
  • Participate in or manage ad-hoc projects
  • Support integration of revenue accounting and order-to-cash core process for newly acquired entities

2. Product design and launch

  • Ensure a superior pool of Coaches for seed stage products.

  • Surface the most essential coach feedback to influence product iterations.

3. World building

As an AI Content Ecosystem Manager on the Digital Experiences Team, you will flex both operational and creative skills to scale content and digital experiences to our members. You will help advance our mission of delivering the right science-backed coaching interventions at the right moment in someone’s personal development through systems, processes, and creative oversight. Responsibilities:

The Director of Implementation role is a new position created with the goal of transforming the Implementation team as BetterUp moves from delivering point solutions to deploying enterprise-wide platform experiences. We are seeking a FedRAMP Program Manager that will be responsible for working across internal stakeholders and product engineering teams to drive key aspects of continuous monitoring requirements, support customer onboarding, and drive the FedRAMP program.

We are in search of a top tier Senior Accountant who is highly motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced organization. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, SOX compliance control execution and quarterly / annual audit process, as well as identifying and driving project-based work to provide process efficiencies for the general ledger team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, communicative, self-motivated team player with a solid working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls. Additionally, this individual thrives on process improvement and enjoys working in a challenging, collaborative environment to support our continued growth and success. This role will be reporting to the Accounting Manager. 

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process general journal entries, accruals, account analysis and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts
  • Manage the general ledger accounting activities, such as cash, pre-paids, fixed assets, T&E expenses, and various expense accruals
  • Assist in preparation of month-end financial statements and reporting package
  • Prepare monthly reports to management and assist in quarterly reporting to board of directors
  • Be part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues
  • Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
  • Prepare and analyze month-end results
  • Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Assist with various aspects of external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and reviewing outstanding items lists
  • Partner cross-functionally with AP, FP&A, and various functional business owners to establish best practices, as well as drive on-going process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of GL accounting and reporting
  • Assist in the development and implementation of global accounting policies, procedures and company-wide initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Maintain and enhance the internal controls over operational accounting processes and systems
  • Assist in system implementation and enhancing accounting procedures
  • Support special ad hoc projects as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required, CPA preferred 
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, a self-starter, and has a strong bias towards action
  • Someone that is flexible and drawn to a fast-moving environment
  • Experience as a key member of a general ledger team with a high volume of transactions and complex accounting processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Strong in-depth working knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, understanding of internal controls, operational accounting procedures, and financial reporting
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively prioritize and perform multiple projects while working with team members, as well as work independently with limited required direction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management
  • Eager to learn new things and take on additional tasks to support the team
  • Experience with Netsuite and other accounting software

The Associate Coach Services Program Manager will be a critical member of the Implementation team, delivering on custom program requirements for BetterUp’s new and existing customer launches. This person will directly contribute to BetterUp’s mission by ensuring all BetterUp members are matched with the right coach pool, and that BetterUp’s coaches are prepared for success. The Associate Coach Services Program Manager will support the Coach Services team in fulfillment of customer coach requirements by managing custom coach pools and providing coach enablement to deliver exceptional outcomes to our customers. 

This role requires a critical thinker and a strong operator. Beyond the classic program manager skill set of collaboration and organization, the ability to influence others and clearly communicate program risks and issues will be key to success in this role. The Associate Coach Services Program Manager will report to the Manager of Implementation Management. 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement effective learning plans for BetterUp coaches, focusing on their preparation for partner and program launches
  • Fulfill customer requests to identify specific coaches and build custom coach pools 
  • Send initial coach communications and follow-ups as needed for customer deployments
  • Review and manage a queue of Coach Services Case Requests 
  • Support coach enablement, customer support, or communication needs for experimental or complex implementations, such as coaching circles. 
  • Partner with Coach Operations to proactively forecast and identify coaches for beta pilots, special launches, and custom programs, ensuring healthy coach supply for custom programs
  • Work closely with Implementation, Sales, Operations, and Customer Support teams to represent the coaching perspective during launch planning and execution.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes with a focus on meeting the growing needs of the organization
