Position Overview:

The A/P Associate oversees and processes transactions within accounts payable to ensure vendors are paid in a timely fashion. In this role, you will work as part of a small, collaborative finance team and collaborate closely with other departments. You will have the opportunity to have a clear impact on the company’s growth while developing your accounting skills. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and grow with the company to take on greater responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Enters vendor invoices and charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports. Report significant variances to management.
  • Ensures all vendor invoices, credits, and disbursements are properly approved or matched with purchase order (PO) before processing.
  • Resolves any PO, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
  • Schedules and prepares company checks, bill payments and bank wires as required.
  • Maintains accounting sub-ledgers by verifying and properly posting account transactions.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions in NetSuite.
  • Processes corporate card transactions and monthly payments/reconciliations of credit cards
  • Provides support in annual 1099 filing preparation
  • Processes check requests and expense reports on a regular basis
  • Provides analyses for transaction history
  • Tracks and maintains historical vendor invoices and records.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Accounts Payable preferred

Digital Analyst, Insights & Analytics – Brilliant Earth 

Position Overview: 

The Digital Analyst will report to the Associate Director of Insights & Analytics and will contribute to the continued growth of ecommerce through articulating trends and making actionable recommendations for optimization. This role will collaborate with cross-functional partners on the Marketing, Buying, Site Experience, and FP&A teams and will play a key role in making data-informed decisions. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor key site metrics and identify trends, issues, and opportunities to improve the user experience and improve conversion rate.  Support reporting at weekly, monthly, quarterly cadences. 
  • Collaborate closely with UX testing stakeholders to generate hypotheses, develop analytics requirements and create and execute measurement plans; ensure that reporting answers the question(s) posed by the hypotheses. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, and site teams to provide analytics support; guide end-users in identifying key performance indicators for their areas and assist with designing reporting.  
  • Effectively respond to ad-hoc report and analysis requests from cross-functional teams. 
  • Ensure proper tagging and reporting of digital data and new site features.  
  • Validate data integrity and troubleshoot any data related/tagging issues. 

Requirements:  

  • 3-5 years experience in web analytics 
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture, or similar analytics tool 
  • Familiarity with tagging tools such as Google Tag Manager

Overview:  

Brilliant Earth is looking for a strategic communications professional to lead Brilliant Earth's Corporate Communications and Public Relations function. Staff Accountant – Brilliant Earth  

Position Overview:  

Brilliant Earth is looking for a hands-on, self-starter to join our Finance team as Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant role plays an integral role in preparing and driving a timely month end close, developing and maintaining strong month-end close procedures, and internal controls in conformity to US GAAP. You will be involved in a wide range of accounting processes, including general ledger preparation and key accounting projects. We have a social and environmental mission at the core of our company and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about helping us achieve our social goals, as well as our business goals.  

Key responsibilities include:  

  • Prepare entries to the company’s general ledger and maintain accounting sub-ledgers by verifying and properly posting account transactions  

  • Prepare accruals, maintain schedules, including fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules  

  • Perform month and year end closing and audit processes  

  • Work on other accounting functions as appropriate (including A/R, A/P, deposits, bill payments, bank wires, statement reconciliations, invoice & records management)  

  • Support the continued development of the company’s accounting policies and procedures including making the accounting process more efficient  

  • Respond to inquiries from the finance team leadership and company managers  

Specific qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience in accounting 

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and experience in applying principles in practice  

  • Experience in closing a general ledger and/or audit, account reconciliation, JE preparation, maintenance of accounting schedules, including all required support, preferred 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel 

  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems, preferred 

  • Organized, high attention to detail, ability to communicate and collaborate within a team environment 

  • Experience in a direct to consumer retail or e-commerce company, preferred 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit/self-starter

The targeted budget for this position is $60-65k. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.

Director, Visual Merchandising - Brilliant Earth

Brilliant Earth is seeking a strategic Director of Visual Merchandising to innovate and implement visual standards across our showroom locations that drive customer engagement and conversion.  The Director of Visual Merchandising will be responsible for providing leadership and overseeing successful execution of all visual merchandising strategies for our showroom locations.  We are seeking an experienced visual merchandising leader that can beautifully and effectively present product, tell product stories, and bring the Brilliant Earth brand to life through visual displays.  This is the perfect position for someone who loves to travel, is an excellent communicator and collaborator, and takes pride in creating new processes and innovative visual approaches. 
 
This position sits within the Merchandising & Planning team and collaborates closely with the Retail Expansion team, which oversees our showroom buildouts, and the Marketing & Brand teams to ensure visual merchandising concepts and practices are consistent with overall brand strategy and marketing initiatives. 
 
Key to this role will be building relationships cross-functionally, establishing visual merchandising best practices, providing visual merchandising training, direction, and support to retail teams, and comfortably balancing creative vision, strategic decision-making and tactical implementation. Please submit your design portfolio when applying, with particular emphasis on ideas that connect with our brand. 

What you’ll do: 

Visual Merchandising Strategy and Execution 

  • Create an inspiring customer experience in store.  Guide overall design, ensuring our visual merchandising is fresh and on trend. 
  • Establish high level strategy and execution plans for all visual merchandising elements including visual guidelines and display standards, planograms, display fixtures, window displays, seasonal changes, case signage. 
  • Develop and execute a seasonal installation calendar to support key product launches and initiatives. 
  • Oversee creation of planograms and window line strategies 
  • In collaboration with merchants, oversee the selection, placement and presentation of product for each store. 
  • Oversee planogram implementation to ensure standards are being met throughout the showroom fleet. 
  • With the support of the visual merchandising manager, conduct and oversee recurring showroom visits in person or virtually to ensure stores comply with brand standards. 
  • Conduct and oversee mystery shopping with competitors and peers to identify opportunities for improvement, new best practices and innovative concepts 
  • Develop strong partnerships with sales team to drive sales through displays and to identify opportunities to improve the visual merchandising strategy and sell-through.  Support showroom field teams by supporting requests as needed, soliciting feedback regarding showroom presentations, and taking action accordingly. 

New Showroom Expansion 

  • Oversee planning, scheduling and installation of visual merchandising elements for new showroom launches and remodels.   
  • Oversee product selection, sample ordering / budgets and planogram creation for all new showrooms. 
  • Source visual merchandising supplies including millwork, case line displays and fixtures for new and existing stores.  Identify new vendors and own vendor relationships for fixturing / displays. 
  • Work with design architects and construction team to develop and refine store design strategy, utilizing best practices and offering innovative and industry leading store concepts. 
  • Create and manage visual merchandising budgets including department expenses, store capex (showroom samples, fixtures and displays) and travel expenses.   

Process Creation & Improvement 

  • Support continued development, maintenance and elevation of Visual Merchandising Standards and Guidelines. 
  • Create accurate and easy-to-use documentation to ensure uniform execution across showroom fleet. 
  • Create training materials to support the field in implementing and properly maintaining visual merchandising standards.   
  • Implement best practices and identify opportunities for process improvements. 
  • Source and onboard new tools to improve efficiency in creating and maintaining planograms.   
  • Establish systems for tracking store types, visual iterations and visual elements, including fixturing and display inventory. 
  • Develop and track key metrics and sales input to drive results, including understanding impact of visual merchandising strategies on conversion and sell-through in showrooms overall, regionally and by format.   

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with design architect and store design firm on new store build-outs and fixtures. 
  • Collaborate with merchandising, planning and product development team to ensure that visual merchandising strategy aligns with and supports category goals, and to plan inventory needs. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure key brand codes, product stories, trends and marketing initiatives are reflected in visual merchandising. 
  • Collaborate with showroom managers, showroom team and retail ops teams to ensure visual merchandising strategies are properly implemented and opportunities for improvement are identified on a recurring basis.  

Team Leadership  

  • Oversee one direct report. 
  • Lead growth of visual merchandising function, identifying incremental resource needs and org structure needed to enable scale and continued growth. 
  • Effectively hire, manage, mentor and train direct reports and consultants.  Provide coaching and support to instill best-in-class visual merchandising practices.   
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and collaboration skills and ability to motivate & inspire both direct reports and broader cross-functional team members.  

What you’ll have: 

  • 10+ years of related work experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Must have experience in a visual merchandising leadership role, ideally with a brand with multiple doors and store formats.  Retail industry experience required, jewelry retail experience preferred. 
  • Creative and innovative thinker with strong attention to detail.  High levels of creativity and aesthetic sense are required. 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a team. 
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Highly organized.  Able to effectively balance the creative and operational needs of the role and plan effectively. 
  • Demonstrated project management experience.  Experience with project management tools, such as Asana, preferred.   
  • Experience in a high growth emerging brand strongly preferred.  Ability to multi-task projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities 
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing Skills; able to communicate effectively through verbal and written communication with cross functional partners at all levels.  
  • Experience in sourcing and collaboration with vendors for window displays and fixtures, including developing prototypes, negotiating costs and managing delivery schedules.  Prefer strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and costs.   
  • Experience working with architects and store design teams, including understanding of and collaborating on architectural drawings, shop drawings and renderings.  
  • Comfort analyzing sales and customer insights data to draw conclusions and make recommendations to impact business results.   
  • Basic computer skills required: email/Outlook, Microsoft Excel & Word.  Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and planogram software experience preferred. 
  • Ability to travel to support showroom launches and recurring showroom visits (25-40%).

About the role:   

Our Customer Experience team is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for every Brilliant Earth customer. The Customer Experience Associate, Resolutions, will be responsible for finding solutions for customers who are requesting additional assistance beyond the scope of our Customer Experience, Sales team. You will act as both a customer and Brilliant Earth brand advocate, working to craft creative solutions to ensure every client receives a luxury experience, above and beyond their expectations. As a member of this team, you will work cross-functionally with our Customer Experience and Operations teams in order to achieve solutions for escalated customer inquiries. You will share your learnings from customer interactions with cross functional partners, including senior leaders across the organization, for continuous improvement of our customer experience and operational processes. As a member of this team, you will be able to share in the happiest moments in our customers’ lives and have a clear impact on our company growth.  

The Customer Experience, Resolutions team is currently working remotely, and this position will work in a remote capacity.  The ideal candidate for this role can work a Sunday - Thursday schedule. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Provide solution-oriented service to Brilliant Earth customers, with a focus on exceptional luxury experiences 
  • Actively respond to customers who have requested to escalate an issue or speak with a manager, via email and phone communication channels 
  • Creatively resolve problems, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners 
  • Create memorable and personalized experiences for Brilliant Earth customers by providing support and responding to escalated customer inquiries 
  • Utilize sales and customer service strategies, and forward-thinking problem-solving techniques to assist and guide customers toward appropriate solutions 
  • Proactively manage review sites, including working to uphold strong ratings on public review sites, such as Yelp. 
  • Coach sales associates through escalated customer situations, to ensure that the team is using appropriate strategies to solve customer issues 
  • Contribute FAQs and scripts to our Sales Knowledge Base, in order to streamline solutions to commonly occurring issues 
  • Recommend changes to polices, processes, and customer communication that you believe will improve the customer experience, acting as a customer advocate with cross-functional partners 
  • Maintain demonstrated responsibility and accountability for meeting individual and team goals in a metrics and goals focused environment. 

You’re a great addition if you have: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred 
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in an escalations- or resolutions-focused customer facing role 
  • Robust customer service skills and experience working in an ecommerce or retail environment 
  • A dedicated desire to connect with customers, solve problems, and create lasting positive experiences with each customer interaction 
  • Ability to creatively problem solve, while adhering to company policy and procedure 
  • A focus on data-driven solutions and working cross-functionally toward continuous improvement 
  • Excellent, professional verbal and written communication 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Robust computer and systems skills – experience with a CRM system or customer focused channel software system required, Microsoft Excel skills preferred 
  • An ability to adhere to and implement security policies and procedures regarding high value products 
  • Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible work environment 
  • Exceptional time management skills and accountability 
  • A team-oriented mindset with an ability to work collaboratively 
  • An eager to learn attitude and desire to grow in a dynamic work environment 
  • An interest in socially and environmentally responsible organizations and products 

The targeted budget for this position is $40-55k. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.
