Riderfle is hiring a Remote Product Manager/Designer

It’s 1985 – Super Marios Bros. debuts on NES, Back to the Future is released in theatres, and A-ha’s Take on Me is #10 on the Billboard charts. Van Halen was one of the top acts, with songs such as “Jump,” “Hot for Teacher,” and “Panama” rocking the airwaves. Could they get any better? Impossible! No way! That’s what everyone thought up until the band replaced lead singer David Lee Roth with Sammy Hagar in July. With the Red Rocker on vocals, the band went on to enjoy 9 top 40 hits compared to just 7 with Roth at the helm. A band that nobody believed could get any better actually did.

Deveron wants you to be their Sammy Hagar. They are looking for a product manager / product designer to take their award-winning productivity platform, Farm Dog, higher and higher. Straight up we’ll climb!

Farm Dog has been named a Top App for Agriculture 5 years in a row, but they’re not satisfied. Their vision is for Farm Dog to be the obvious productivity software of choice for every profitable agronomist. They want you to bring that vision to life right now.

Just like Sammy Hagar, you will inherit a product with a storied history. Just like Hagar, you will take it to new heights.

You:

You want to work on things that matter. You know your talent, intelligence, and creativity should be used for something bigger than making sure a photo sharing app works at a party. You want to use your expertise to fight back against climate change, sustainably grow our crops, ensure a safe water supply, and create employment opportunities for rural communities. You want to connect the physical world to the digital world.

Specifically:

  • You have 5+ years of traditional product experience
  • You get excited about solving productivity problems for SMBs. You have a demonstrated history of this
  • You are well-versed in the latest technologies and product trends. Importantly, you are thoughtful about how these fit into the problems that we are solving
  • You make nuanced product decisions, taking into account user needs and demographics
  • You value user-centered design and the importance of user research in problem-solving
  • You prioritize getting the product “right” over getting the product “done”
  • You are comfortable working with an engineering team building in React and React Native.
  • You can quickly learn software platforms and understand how to integrate into a larger tech ecosystem
  • You are an excellent communicator and consistently overshare instead of surprise
  • You are open to traveling (1-2x a month) and comfortable conducting user interviews while riding shotgun in a pickup with the wind blowing loudly

Responsibilities:

  • Own the product vision for our Farm Dog solution
  • Collaborate with user experience and engineering to rapidly iterate and improve the product
  • Utilize best practices in product development and design
  • Develop product roadmaps and build alignment across product teams and cross-company partners (e.g., Engineering, Insights, Operations, Sales)

WHERE:

United States (Remote)

About Deveron:

Deveron exists in order to make agriculture sustainable – environmentally, financially, and socially. We are a fast growing agriculture technology company that marries “muddy boots on the ground” with sexy technology.

We value teamwork and collaboration. As you help us grow and succeed, we want you to succeed in meeting your personal and professional goals. We also want to have a good time while doing so.
