Signify Health is seeking a driven Cloud Systems Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering organization. Reporting to the Manager of Cloud Operations, this role is ideal for individuals looking to build on their cloud infrastructure expertise and contribute to the automation, management, and optimization of cloud environments. Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Infrastructure Support: Assist in designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Git to automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and management. Help build and maintain automated workflows.
- Security & Compliance:Support security best practices in cloud environments, ensuring adherence to internal security policies and industry compliance standards.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to maintaining comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, automation processes, and operational procedures to support cross-team knowledge sharing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work with teams across engineering, SRE, and security to ensure cloud solutions meet business requirements and align with best practices.
- Performance & Cost Optimization: Support initiatives focused on cloud performance improvements and cost optimization, using monitoring tools and data-driven insights.
- On-Call Rotation:Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring the reliability and availability of cloud infrastructure and responding to incidents as required.
What You’ll Need
Experience:
- 1-2 years in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or related role, supporting cloud infrastructure in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible, and using Git for version control and collaboration.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in managing Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu) and/or Windows Server, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and their applications in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting with languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python to automate cloud operations.
- Experience with cloud monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Prometheus) for infrastructure performance and alerting.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience with Go for scripting and automation tasks.
- Nice-to-Have: Experience with Ansible AWX for configuration management.
- Nice-to-Have: Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development.
Soft Skills:
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, able to work effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver results.
- A proactive learner, with an interest in cloud technologies and a desire to continuously improve skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and share knowledge across teams.
The base salary hiring range for this position is $72,100 to $125,600. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
