VetsEZ is seeking an Senior Database Administrator to be a part of a remote team with a strong background in MongoDB to lead database infrastructure initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions while leveraging cloud platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of architecting complex database systems, understanding of database technologies, data modeling principles, and implementing best practices in cloud environments.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

Design and architect MongoDB database solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, availability, and performance.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to define requirements, database schemas, indexes, and query optimizations for optimal application performance.
Lead the implementation and management of MongoDB deployments on AWS and Azure, including provisioning, configuration, and optimization.
Define and implement cloud-native database architectures leveraging AWS and Azure services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, Cosmos DB and others.
Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and resource utilization analysis to optimize database performance.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address database performance issues.
Define and implement database security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive data and conduct regular security assessments/audits to identify and remediate potential vulnerabilities.
Develop automation scripts and templates for database provisioning, configuration, and deployment using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architectures, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent degree.
5+ years of demonstrated technical, IT, or Operations experience within a large-scale technology services environment in the following areas: Software development, database design, and infrastructure support.
Strong proficiency in MongoDB database administration, architecture, and performance tuning.
Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including infrastructure design, deployment, and management.
In-depth knowledge of AWS database services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Redshift.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages for infrastructure and database management (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Python).
Experience developing strategies for data migration, backup, and disaster recovery in cloud environments.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and departments.

Additional Qualifications:

Experience working with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other health-related organizations desired.
Following certifications are a plus: MongoDB certification, AWS certification, Azure certification, etc.
Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder and DevSecOps environment.
Ability to obtain a government clearance.

ProArch, a leading technology company, is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As an Oracle DBA at ProArch, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our Oracle databases. You will work closely with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems and provide support for application development and deployment.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Oracle databases across multiple environments.
Extensive experience as an Oracle Database Administrator working on large to very large databases and in 24*7 systems.
Sense of Database Architecture
Migrating databases across servers and platforms
Expertise in Performance tuning, Database tuning, troubleshooting and database upgrades or Shell Scripting.
Performs installations, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring and configuration.
Monitors and ensures the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Oracle customer production databases, ensuring that the databases are available, performing properly and safe.
Good in Backup and Recovery skills.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices.

5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts and architecture.
Experience in managing Multitenant architecture with CDB and PDB
Proficiency in Oracle 19c
Experience with performance tuning and optimization and patching
Must have worked into Big File Table spaces
Knowledge of any scripting - Shell, Python or Bash
Experience with backup and recovery operations.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Golden Gate is an added advantage

Shift timings 6PM to 3 AM , need to be available for extended work hours and stretch during weekends.

What you’ll do:

Provide daily interface with and communications support for a VIP Federal customer
Work with a highly qualified technical team
Develop new applications and maintain legacy apps

What you’ll need to succeed:

You have an active TS/SCI eligible clearance and Security + certification
You have a BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics.
You have at least six to eight (6-8) years in database administration and management
Use SQL tools to monitor daily database activity and health
Experience creating complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, Cursors and User Defined Functions to implement business logic
Experience providing primary support to various business critical SQL Server applications
Knowledge of migrating, backing up, and restoring databases in place or to new environments.
Familiarity with other relational database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
Experience overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases in Kubernetes and Linux environment.
Experience with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud services (Azure, AWS)
CI & CD development experience with technologies like Gitlab, Bash or Jenkins
Proficiency in SQL and experience with PL/pgSQL or similar procedural language
Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Json.
Able to support and troubleshoot RDBMS platforms on Linux, Kubernetes and Windows environment.
