VetsEZ is seeking a Developer to support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This position will support Massachusetts General Hospital Utility Multi-Programming System (MUMPS) code in support of releases within the VA’s Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA).

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages.
  • Must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments.
  • Understands unit testing, code coverage and how they function in a DevOps toolchain.
  • Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary.

          VetsEZ is seeking a Project Manager to support a project with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This position will support Massachusetts General Hospital Utility Multi-Programming System (MUMPS) code in support of releases within the VA’s Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). An ideal candidate would have extensive experience leading large-scale program management within a dynamic environment and the ability to handle numerous high-profile projects and responsibilities while effectively influencing and negotiating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.

          The candidate must reside within the continental US.

          Responsibilities:

          • Devise strategies for ensuring enterprise-wide program growth and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
          • Maintain frequent and direct communication with stakeholders, developing scope and estimates, monitoring and controlling projects, and resolving impediments effectively and efficiently.
          • Provide expert thought leadership and enhancement of the infrastructure and cloud management methodologies and lead the implementation of industry best practices and security compliance solutions.
          • Provide technical interaction with application development teams on cloud integration projects, including technical solutions, new requirements, testing, issues, and risks.
          • Work with project managers to develop financial and budgetary plans for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
          • Analyze current operational processes to maximize efficiency, performance, productivity, and interdepartmental collaboration recommending improvement solutions where necessary.
          • Interface with executive-level customers and internal/external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction regarding program goals and objectives.

          Requirements:

          • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field.
          • 5+ years of experience in project management of highly technical initiatives.
          • Experience with Massachusetts General Hospital Utility Multi-Programming System (MUMPS) code in support of releases within the VA’s Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA).
          • Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Transaction Application Suite (TAS) programs.
          • Strong cloud engineering experience with AWS and Azure cloud technologies and expertise in IT infrastructure technology processes and tools.
          • Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders while managing complex budget and numerous requirements.
          • Demonstrated superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, customer service, production, and employee management.
          • Experience with advanced management and program management principles and best practices.

          Additional Qualifications:

          • Experience in the Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA).
          • Experience with architectural frameworks (DODAF, FEAF)
          • HL7 FHIR Certification/HL7 International
          • Certified EDI Professional (or equivalent)
          • Ability to obtain a government clearance.
