VetsEZ is currently looking for a Cloud Architect to support a major federal project. The Cloud Architect will work with various team members to manage the full requirements management in a SAFe Agile environment and partner with leadership to provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of technical information assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Define Cloud Data strategy, including designing and developing multi-phased implementation roadmap and cloud-based (Azure/ AWS) data management solutions.

      • Assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
      • Provide expert Systems Engineering support to the EHRM Interoperability team, reviewing and enhancing integration and interface designs, API strategies, and policies.
      • Collaborate on formal technology evaluations, proofs of concept, client demonstrations, and solutioning presentations, ensuring buy-in and alignment with healthcare standards and regulations.
      • Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
      • Lead and coordinate with other architects, technical leaders, and program teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
      • Perform technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments.
      • Offer consultation on data center migration plans and assess current internal and external data center and cloud environments.
      • Support the execution of strategies, translating high-level plans into actionable items with a focus on interoperability and secure data access.

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise software development, with a deep understanding of healthcare systems and interoperability standards.
      • Proven expertise in building various data integration components across diverse health record domains.
      • Extensive experience with InterSystems technology and migration/integration of disparate infrastructures.
      • Experience in bridging Oracle Health and VistA systems for seamless interoperability.
      • Proficiency in developing backend and frontend components to enable secure access to patient data.
      • Solid understanding of CRM systems and integrating Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies such as ServiceNow, Mulesoft, Tableau, and Salesforce.

      Additional Qualifications:

      • Familiarity with ServiceNow solutions, including service portal UIs and scripted REST APIs.
      • Working knowledge of enterprise architecture modeling tools such as Sparx EA, Mega, Visual Paradigm, etc., is a plus.
      • Strong qualitative and quantitative evaluation skills, with experience conducting impact assessments in healthcare settings.
      • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to lead formal presentations and articulate complex technical concepts.
      • Previous experience in the VA or Department of Defense (DoD) healthcare systems is advantageous.

      • Strong proficiency in MongoDB database administration, architecture, and performance tuning.
      • Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including infrastructure design, deployment, and management.
      • In-depth knowledge of AWS database services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Redshift.
      • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages for infrastructure and database management (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Python).
