The Role
We are looking for a creative and technically savvy Lifecycle Marketing Manager to conceive, build, maintain, and analyze campaigns across all lifecycle communication touchpoints for our domestic and emerging international businesses. This person will ensure that our brand voice and aesthetic are reinforced through design and copy choices, and implemented in a way that increases conversion and our ability to retain customers.
Outside of mastering customer communication, this role also has the opportunity to think critically around growth of customer programs including customer acquisition, referrals, loyalty, SMS, and retention of customers through our subscription business. The ideal candidate has experience with using HTML and CSS to build beautiful and functional email campaigns, as well as a desire to deepen their marketing chops around audience segmentation, marketing tech, emerging channels, and analytics.
This role will report to the Sr. Manager of Lifecycle Marketing, and work cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Data & Analytics, Design, Social, International and Customer Service teams.

Responsibilities include:
• Plans, develops, and implements marketing communication strategies (encompass digital, content, social media, and tradeshow management) to boost brand awareness and reputation, drive market penetration, enable new market entry, and enhance sales and business development.
• Establishes editorial calendar and manages schedule and timelines to ensure completion according to campaign and budget guidelines
• Lead, produce and distribute end-to-end creation of marketing materials such as advertising, editorials, tradeshows, digital marketing projects and technical collateral
• Actively engage with Battelle’s Crop Protection Division audience on social media, culture and nurture relationships
• Measures and reports performance of all marketing campaigns, assesses against goals and suggests improvements
• Measures and reports current business performance statistics and recommends alterations in marketing tactics depending on needs
• Works closely with internal customers such as sales, research and development, business leaders, and scientists to ensure clear and consistent messaging and positioning across markets.

Your Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, ideally with a MSc
• Degree in environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, or similar discipline with significant marketing experience
• Requires fluency in English (mother tongue or minimum B2), excellent written and verbal communications skills, polished interpersonal skills, grammatical and rhetorical skills, and familiarity with a broad range of marketing communication techniques and styles with an emphasis on digital marketing.
Your Experience:
• At least five years of experience in marketing, communications, and related experience in a similar position – ideally in a research, contract research, science-based organisation and/or crop protection industry is desirable.
• Proactively writing and editing scientific sales copy for marketing campaigns
• Track record of project management and meeting deadlines
• Social Media Management software and email marketing platform experience (e.g. Oktopost, Mail Chimp) is desirable
