Your role within the team 

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Paid Media Manager specializing in social advertising, programmatic ads, and search advertising.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success within the digital marketing and consumer goods industry. This individual will be responsible for helping to develop and executing paid media strategy for our business. As the Paid Media Manager, you will collaborate with external agency partners to achieve our marketing objectives. Additionally, you will identify, access, and integrate future technologies, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, as competitive advantages.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, execution, and optimization of performance marketing media campaigns across various channels, including but not limited search, social and programmatic (Display, Video etc.).
  • Be the driving force behind all facets of paid media campaigns, relentlessly refining performance and optimizing ROI. Harness A/B testing, audience segmentation, and bid strategies to elevate our campaigns.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive full-funnel paid social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, driving social commerce initiatives and optimizing campaigns for platform-specific audiences to maximize ROI.
  • Manage the performance marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance marketing efforts seamlessly with business objective and other marketing initiatives.
  • Dive into the data to refine our marketing intelligence.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics across each funnel stage to improve campaign effectiveness and achieve incremental return on ad spend.
  • Drive new customer acquisition through targeted performance marketing campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance marketing, programmatic media, paid search and paid social media.
  • Lead and mentor a team of performance marketing managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Manage relationships with external agency partners, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners for digital content creation.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Performance Marketing Manager or similar role, with a focus on social, search and programmatic media.
  • Proficiency in programmatic media buying platforms, such as Google Display Network, DSPs, and DMPs
  • Affiliate network advertising experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Familiarity with future technologies, such as Amazon Marketing Cloud, AI, and ML, is desirable.

Qualifications

· Hands on machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, Ensemble methods XGBoost, Decision Forests and working towards deep learning methods using TensorFlow especially for NLP like word embeddings and topic discovery

· Hands with common data science toolkits, such as Python, scikit learn, numpy, pandas, plotly, TensorFlow, ElasticSearch, Auto-ML platforms like AWS Sagemaker

· Solid proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Elasticsearch and Graph DBs as Neo4j

· Good understanding of applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression and strong EDA skills

· Data-oriented personality with strong sense of appreciating the business domain of your work e.g.

Your role

  • You will be a Force Multiplier - setting technical direction, shaping engineering culture, identifying and adopting industry best practices, designing effective partnerships across the company, mentoring and coaching peers, and more. 
  • You will be a Leader-  spearheading a lean team of machine learning engineers and data scientists while enabling effective collaboration, high-quality execution, and technical excellence across the Data organization
  • You will be an Innovator -  developing algorithms and Machine Learning systems that connect users across the Handshake marketplace; from students looking for their first jobs and internships to employers sourcing candidates for high-priority roles.
  • You will be a Collaborator -being an effective partner to product managers; you will work with product managers in driving new user experiences through Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing and build experiments that drive key product decisions and provide invaluable insights.

Your experience

You are an experienced, hands-on senior engineering leader with extensive experience identifying problems, coming up with technical solutions, and driving projects to completion. You care about culture, mentorship, and collaboration just as much as you care about coding, architecture, and technical design. You have an extreme user-focus, you are comfortable with ambiguity, you can drive alignment, and you make thoughtful data-driven decisions. 

  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience.
    • 4+ years of industry ML experience as TL or TLM
  • Preferred Qualifications:  
    • MS/Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Statistics or a related field 
    • 7+ years of industry ML experience as TL or TLM
    • End-to-End experience building web-scale AI systems, feature stores, microservices
    • Background in one or more of the following areas of machine learning: recommendations, optimization, natural language processing (NLP), deep learning, LLMs, explainable AI
    • Experience building applications atop of IAAS (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud Services, etc.)
    • Experience working directly with cross-functional teams such as product management, analytics, engineering, and design.
    • Excellent communication skills — ability to succinctly communicate results and tell compelling stories with data to an out-of-domain audience (e.g. presenting findings and deep-dives to senior leadership).

Compensation range

$235,000-260,000

In this role, you will focus on the following types of problems:

  • Optimize to continuous product feedback loops - you understand that data science is the practice of a continuous lifecycle of measurement, analysis, modeling, and hypothesis testing.
  • Create customer segmentation and conversion propensity models that will help us understand the best ways to serve different types of users and convert them into affiliate products and services.

We're looking for an experienced Data Architectto join our Data Platform Engineering team. Our team is responsible for enabling Hims & Hers business (Product, Analytics, Operations, Finance, Data Science, Machine Learning, Customer Experience, and Engineering) by providing a platform with a rich set of data and tools to leverage. 

As a Data Architect, you will focus on the big picture of an organization’s data strategy. You will work closely with other architects, engineering, product, analytics, data science, and DevOps leaders to align the data architecture with the overall business goals and objectives.

Your primary responsibility is to develop a cohesive data architecture that supports the organization’s long-term vision. You design efficient data storage structures, data models, standards, and optimize data retrieval for reporting, analytics, and AI purposes.

You Will

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including product management, engineering, analytics, and key business representatives to align the architecture, vision and roadmap with stakeholder needs

You Have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with over 12 years of Data Architecture and Data Engineering experience, including team leadership
  • Proven expertise in designing data platforms for large-scale data and diverse data architectures, including warehouses, lakehouses, and integrated data stores.
  • Proficiency in a variety of technologies such as: SQL, Bash, Python, Java, Presto, Spark, AWS, data streaming like Kafka, RabbitMQ, data stacks like Airflow, Databricks, dbt, and data stores like Cassandra, Aurora, ZooKeeper
  • Experience with data security (including PHI and PII), as well as data privacy regulations (CCPA and GDPR)
  • Proficient in addressing data-related challenges through analytical problem-solving and aligning data architecture with organizational business goals and objectives
  • Exposure to analytics techniques using ML and AI to assist data scientists and analysts in deriving insights from data
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and find optimal solutions
  • Ability to manage projects effectively, plan tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and ever changing environment

Hims & Hers seeks an inspiring leader to lead our data engineering efforts. The Data Engineering team sits at the intersection of Engineering, DevOps, and Analytics Engineering. The Senior Manager, Data Engineering position is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of data engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of work within the defined domains. This person is responsible for the infrastructure, data warehouse and data pipelines that power analytical models and operational data workloads, as well as the team who builds, operates, and maintains them. The manager will be working closely with the DevOps, Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to bring alignment in order to leverage the Self-Service Data Platform to build new data pipelines and migrate existing data platform currently hosted on Google BigQuery to Databricks on AWS where the Enterprise data resides. 

You Will:

  • Lead a team responsible for large-scale Data and ML Infrastructure
  • Creatively tests and manages software applications and associated programs that support large-scale real-time and batch data pipelines
  • Guides the team to ensure the successful implementation of new concepts or methods
  • Be a recruiter 
  • Researching and recommending frameworks, and promoting operational excellence
  • Identifies and addresses potential issues in work processes, offering continuous improvement recommendations
  • Overseeing the processes of unit testing, establishing SLAs, and ensuring data quality checks
  • Demonstrates proficiency and up-to-date knowledge in languages, data platforms, cloud services, event instrumentation, and methodologies

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering and leading teams.
  • 12+ years of experience with SQL, preferably for data transformation or analytical use cases.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented, experienced software engineer to join our team and help take our Data Loss Prevention product to the next level. You’ll help us make our DLP product more efficient and more accurate, while also helping us build out more features. You’ll contribute to the design and implementation of a Rust codebase that is deployed across Cloudflare’s entire edge fleet, and in Kubernetes clusters in our core datacenters.

What is the role?

We are seeking an innovative and analytical Senior Data Scientist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, AI, and data analysis. You will work on developing models and algorithms to enhance our RTDM capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain machine learning models and algorithms.
  • Work with large datasets to extract insights and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable data solutions.
  • Utilize cloud-based data platforms (e.g., S3, Redshift, Lambda, Kinesis, EMR).

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Knowledge of data engineering processes and data integration.
  • Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) and message queues (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
  • Experience with a wide range of ML and AI algorithms:

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with the team to architect, build and deploy features that leverage AI/ML models generally and LLMs in particular, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, model validation
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing infrastructure, optimizing scalability, operation, accuracy and cost

About You:

  • 4+ years of professional experience building and deploying solutions in production that leverage ML models while keeping scalability, security, observability, testability and privacy in mind
  • 1+ years of experience building and deploying solutions in production that leverage LLMs in particular
  • Strong knowledge of and experience leveraging AI/ML concepts, NLP, deep learning as well as supervised learning, LLMs, RAGs & generative AI
  • Proficient in using LangChain, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.
  • Experience building SaaS applications deployed on AWS
  • Interested in functional languages like Elm and Haskell and comfortable working with languages like Python & Ruby
  • Experience with MLOps, data engineering and data management a plus
