We seek a passionate Go backend Software Engineer to join our Analytics team and help us build our new data platform fueling business-critical features. You will mainly write new services in Go which run on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes, interacting with SQL databases, Kafka, and other services.

Part of your job will be to ensure the eventual consistency of data across multiple databases, high availability, good observability, and efficiency of services. The ability to read Python code is crucial since a significant part of the platform code is written in it and some existing features will be moved from the existing Python code base to new Go services.

The team is working remotely in the Central European Timezone. We are more than happy to meet you in Brno (Czechia) or in Bratislava (Slovakia) where our headquarters is located.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop, design, maintain, and test our services written in Go.
  2. Work with GCP, Kubernetes, Kafka, ClickHouse, and many other technologies.
  3. Work with SQL interface for efficient interaction with multiple databases.
  4. Design distributed systems ensuring data consistency, high availability, observability, and efficiency.
  5. Assist and troubleshoot during the service lifecycle, including design, deployment, and operation stages (build it and run it).
  6. Work as part of the L3 support to handle and resolve production incidents.

Qualifications

  1. Prior experience in software development, specifically with Go.
  2. Proficiency in reading Python code.
  3. Solid grasp of engineering principles and practices.
  4. Experience working with GCP, Kubernetes, cloud-based services, and distributed systems.
  5. Familiarity with OLAP SQL databases.
  6. High problem-solving capabilities for tackling complex software development issues.
  7. Experience being part of a live production on-call rotation is preferred.
  8. Familiarity with Data Lakehouses is a plus.
  9. Interest in Rust or C++ will be your advantage.

As a Senior Business Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to deliver value to Bloomreach’s clients by deploying and utilizing the Engagement Platform effectively. What you’ll do:

  • Become a SME on the Bloomreach Engagement platform
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the business consultancy practice in the US
  • Support clients in bringing continuous improvement to their sites, shops or apps (audit web pages and online shops; design, manage and evaluate AB tests; propose changes to enhance customer experience and raise conversion rates).

What you'll need:

  • 4-6 years in B2B and/or B2C SaaS OR in-hour eCommerce experience.

  • Experience in online analytics, performance marketing, marketing automation, data science, A/B testing, personalization, campaign optimization, customer lifetime value, email automation, reactivation, attribution modeling, prediction, product recommendations, and e-commerce is beneficial.
  • Strong consulting skills, including clear communication, presentation abilities, confidence in engaging stakeholders, exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally are essential. What challenge awaits you?

As the QA Engineer in the Engineering team, you will take care of the quality of our product. Our engineering teams are collocated around some business features and sub-domains of our complex product. Therefore we want to empower the team with a dedicated QA Engineer who will entirely focus on this area and help us adopt the principle of continuous testing.

You will be responsible for managing test scenarios and test suites, executing them, and finding ways to automate them. You will influence the QA strategy for the team by defining best practices and quality gates. 

We are building teams with a product mindset, so every member needs to care about quality. We need someone who will help us accelerate this and have QA in mind and heart. You will show our software engineers the importance and beauty of quality assurance and test automation, and they will help you deal with complex technical challenges.

Working within the team to deliver projects

  • Cooperate with the team during the whole project life-cycle and be responsible for assuring the quality of the delivered solution.
  • Perform manual E2E testing (UI, API) of delivered features.
  • Automate test scenarios (UI, API) and build test suites for future regression testing.

Improve QA strategy in the team

  • Help the team to adopt the idea of continuous testing.
  • Ensure we track, classify, and manage defects found during development or production.
  • Bring new ideas and principles (like performance API testing, contract testing, …), evaluate their benefits and adapt them to QA strategy.
  • Ensure all team members understand what testing layers we have and how they can use them during development to assure quality.

Maintain test scenarios and test suites

  • Make sure we do have reasonable test suites for critical features.
  • Regular monitoring and debugging of existing automated tests (UI, API).
  • Evaluation of test results, reporting possible issues and proactively improving the stability and reliability of our tests. 

Cooperate with the Central QA team

  • Share best practices and ideas with the Central QA team (both directions)
  • Make sure the engineering team is following the overall QA strategy.
  • Be an active member of our QA community. 

 

Your success story will be:

  • In 30 days, you will participate in projects as a QA engineer and ensure the quality of delivered solutions with help from the Central QA team.
  • In 90 days, you will manage test scenarios and test cases of main features, and you will be able to automate some of them.
  • In 180 days, you will be able to come up with ideas on how to improve QA strategy in a team.

Professional experience

About your role and the team:

We are a team of thirteen people at the moment. We cooperate tightly as a single unit on a multitude of tasks and challenges in order to make our application the best to serve our customers’ needs. Since not all of us enjoy tasks with a focus on styling, a subteam of stylers has been formed that takes care of our UI library of low-level components. 

We are facing a variety of tasks on our daily basis that fall mostly into three categories - designing and developing new features, maintaining existing features in the underlying codebase and sometimes prototyping new features as POCs.

What we expect of the candidate:

Must have

  • advanced TypeScript (or JavaScript with a strong will to switch to TypeScript)
  • advanced Angular (or similar component-based framework with a strong will to switch to Angular)
  • experience with software design & architecture (be able to propose and implement an effective & efficient solution based on problem definition without detailed instructions)
  • The ability to work in project teams effectively, being reliable and communicating clearly.
  • A “can-do” attitude

How we work:

Our entire engineering team works in 6 week cycles. Each developer is assigned to one or more projects during this cycle and aims to deliver the project together with other project team members from various other teams. In addition to working on projects, we also focus on other tasks - not limited to working on our backlog, providing an L3 support to our client facing colleagues or making improvements to our product through an initiative called “Happy consultants”.
In order to keep our high quality standards, each change in code we do gets reviewed and our automated pipeline builds these changes, runs a series of tests, runs the linter, packages the outputs and deploys them onto a development environment.
We are a team of diverse skill sets - you will need to share your experience and knowledge (during code reviews and ideally also beyond) with other colleagues and help them grow just like we all will help and support you from the minute you join us.

Challenges:

Here are some of the challenges that kept us busy in the past:

  • Micro frontend research
    • Our application is split up into modules but we are experimenting with the idea of loosening up the coupling even a bit more and splitting our large application into a collection of smaller ones run under a single container application.
    • Identify the pros and cons of this approach and what problems will it solve effectively and what other problems it might bring.
    • Take into account how this switch potentially affects not the architecture alone but also the execution, deployment and DX.
  • Optimizing build performance
    • The larger an application gets, the more complex the build becomes. Our application consists of hundreds of components, directives, services, pipes and other functions.
    • Find a way to optimise the build in order to make the DX and the pipeline build performance better.
  • Optimizing change detection
    • Our application aims to deliver a swift interaction experience to its users without the feeling that something is lagging.
    • Identify components that are underperforming.
    • Analyze their bottlenecks using the profiler.
    • Optimize the runtime performance of the problematic code parts.
  • Data visualisation
    • Our real-time analyses like trends, funnels, reports, and segmentations allow users to gain insights about their data from multiple perspectives. We integrate with external data sources spanning multiple relational databases and big data storage systems.
    • Build an interface for users to query data from data sources located outside of the Engagement to build the basis for our analyses and visualizations.
    • Create complex data visualizations using the Highcharts library or similar suitable tool.
    • Be proactive in proposing solutions which will help users to better understand their data.
    • Improve test quality and extend test coverage.
  • Extend UI library
    • We have created a mature UI library with the goal in mind to unify the look, behavior, and the API of our reusable components. This library already consists of a solid foundation of components but the innovation in the Engagement goes hand in hand with the need to create new components and enhance existing ones.
    • Create new reusable components while focusing on clear API, stability, best possible UX and modern browser support.
    • Test your component well. Use unit tests to cover all thinkable and unthinkable scenarios your component may go through to make it robust.
  • Other than that…
    • We work hard to have sustainable code, but we still have some code in our codebase, especially from the early startup era, that was written in haste to keep the business running - you will need to be able to get around in complex code and help us refactor it.
    • Automated testing of our code is important to us. You will need to cover your code, help us improve existing test quality and extend overall test coverage - spanning from unit tests, through integration tests to automated e2e tests.

Your responsibilities

  • You will develop and maintain Data LakeHouse on top of GCP platform using Apache IceBerg, BigQuery, BigLake tables, DataPlex and DataProc in the form ofApacheSpark/Flink with open file formats like AVRO and Parquet
  • You will help to maintain a streaming mechanism on how data from Apache Kafka gets into the Data LakeHouse
  • You will optimise the Data LakeHouse for near-real-time and non-real-time analytical use-cases primarily for customer activation and scenarios/campaign evaluation 
  • You should help with areas like data discovery and managed access to data through the data governance layer and data catalog using DataPlex so our engineering teams can leverage from this unified Data LakeHouse
  • You feel responsible for DataModeling and schema evolution
  • You should help us with adopting the concepts from Data Fabrics and Data Mesh to run data as a product to unlock the potential the data can unleash for our clients

About the Role:

We are currently expanding our Channel Team in North America and are hiring a Senior Manager, Agency Channel Sales. This role will report to the Senior Director, Channel Sales.  

The Senior Manager, Agency Channel Sales will be responsible for managing a team of partner managers focused on creating sourced agency pipeline and driving sourced and influenced booked revenue for Bloomreach.

What challenges awaits you? 

As Deal Desk Analystyou will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and optimizing deal structures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations, to ensure that deals are structured in a way that aligns with company goals, maximize profitability, and mitigate risks. Your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex business scenarios will be crucial in this role. 

Your job will be to:

  • Support sales on large volume of standard and complex Salesforce Configure Price Quote (CPQ) configurations and custom pricing
  • Partner with the Business Operations team to support Salesforce CPQ rollout and help end-users with  data mapping and migration to the new system;
  • Review and ensure CPQ accuracy on contract requests;
  • Help to maintain data integrity in CPQ by conducting regular audits and quality checks on the data in Salesforce to ensure accuracy and consistency;
  • Support end to end contracting process which can include creating, updating and sending contracts, identifying opportunities to optimize Salesforce CPQ;
  • Developing and documenting standards, guidelines, and procedures for both administrators and end-users.

 You have the following experience and qualities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Have 2+ years of experience in a Deal Desk, Accounting support or GTM Operations or Rev Ops function with a global sales team, in the SaaS industry.
  • High level of understanding contractual impacts on billing and revenue as well as pricing concepts and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated CRM experience, preferably in Salesforce (CPQ).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights. 
  • Experience with contracts

Your responsibilities

  • You will develop a data pipeline processing a large amount of data reliably and at a high rate using Python, Go, MongoDB, GCP and much more.
    • For example, our clients feed their visitors’ behavior through real-time tracking to our platform. The data then can be analyzed and used for marketing automation. We process tens of thousands of requests per second????. You may help improve the efficiency of our workers, improve monitoring or help with autoscaling of our infrastructure.
    • Imports are critical for our clients to utilize our platform to the fullest. You may help us to improve the throughput and reliability of our importsas we need to import millions of rows of data or help us implement integration with another data storage.
  • We also are responsible for exporting data from our platform to Google’s BigQuery using google’s DataFlows and Apache Beamallowing data access by our clients

From a new projects, we are building Data LakeHouse to serve data for various non-real time analytical usecases, using Google BigLake Manged tables, IceBerg open table format, AVRO with Parquet open file formats with DataProc (Spark, Flink, Presto) on top of it.

  • You will help us run and support our services in production handling high-volume traffic using Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
  • You will review the code of your peers and they'll review yours. We have high code quality standards and the four-eyes principle is a must!

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineerto join our Search Intelligence team, who will play a crucial role in advancing our search and personalization capabilities. The team focuses on designing, building, and enhancing semantic understanding, query parsing and processing, and language modeling within the search system. Your contributions will include the development of new recall and ranking search algorithms, as well as the implementation of machine learning and LLM models to optimize the digital experience for commerce. Bloomreach is seeking a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to own the design and implementation of cutting-edge AI and GenAI driven algorithmic components for search, recommendation and behavioral insights that are used to personalize digital experiences for our customers. You can work remotely or from one of our local offices. The salary starts at €2,500  gross per month, along with stock options and other benefits. Our centralized data science team spanned across multiple geographies, is responsible for the data science modules that power all the products of the company, including Search Relevance, Recommendation, User Personalization, User Segmentations, Content Intelligence and Conversational Commerce. We invent and apply machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval algorithms to understand, identify, and improve web content discovery. We have built industry leading algorithms in search and recommendations for the commerce space that serve the most relevant experiences using Artificial Intelligence with the goal-building AI driven experiences beyond commerce.

We are currently allowing flexibility for all our employees to work from anywhere for the respective region. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance ML/AI models which mainly power Search and Recommendation.
  • Process historical data, search queries, product catalog, and images to extract hidden relations and features.
  • Conduct research to explore ongoing cutting-edge ML techniques (especially deep learning) and conduct a quick POC.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers and Senior Data Scientists to integrate and scale ML components to a production-level that can handle terabytes of data.
  • Continuously learn and stay up to date with the current state-of-the-art techniques by reading research papers and attending AI/ML conferences.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with a strong mathematical foundation and excellent programming skills (primarily Python)

  • Strong awareness and understanding of recent trends in Generative AI and LLMs. Experience in working with GenAI stack will be treated as strong credentials.

What challenge awaits you?

As the Bloomreach Head of Pricing & Packaging,this role will drive the pricing and packaging strategy for all Bloomreach products. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally with a variety of teams and have a passion for data analysis, financial modeling, and commercial strategy. In this role, you will need to be able to balance a variety of opinions, be customer-focused, and have the ability to work independently. Strong candidates will have a proven track record in delivering successful Pricing and Packaging strategies for enterprise SaaS software products and have delivered these strategies in a fast-paced business environment.

Your job will be to:

  • Define and drive monetization (pricing and packaging) strategy for all Bloomreach products, and build/maintain a coherent monetization roadmap for our product portfolio
  • Work with CPO and Product Management to understand product roadmap and feature functionality to develop pricing and packaging recommendations
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to provide strategic and analytical support on negotiations
  • Keep an eye on the market and competition to keep us a step ahead and understand which product levers we’re in the best position to monetize
  • Get executive buy-in and alignment around new Pricing and Packaging strategies
  • Develop Pricing and Packaging collateral and tools in the form of presentations, FAQs, etc. to enable the Sales and Customer Success teams
  • Liaison between GTM, Sales, Operations, Legal, Product, and IT to manage and deploy all SKUs and contribute to the new product introduction processes
  • Build, develop and grow a team of highly talented individuals 

You have the following experience and qualities:

  • 5+ years of Pricing, Product Marketing, Consulting and/or Corporate Strategy experience focused on enterprise software products
  • Able to analyze data and distill into actionable insights for senior leadership
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate and communicate  across Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and Finance
  • Experience with product-led offerings (freemium or free trial) a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ a plus

The base salary range for this position is $200,000-$270,000. We are currently expanding our Application Platform team and we are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer. The Application Platform team is at the heart of the organization and builds the platform that enables our engineers to deliver new features more effectively and efficiently. The salary starts at €3,500  gross per month, along with stock options and other benefits. Working in our Bloomreach offices or from home on a full-time basis, you'll become a core part of the Engineering team.

What would your day look like?

You start your day with a code review of your colleague’s tasks while sipping a cup of fresh-brewed tea or coffee, looking for any signs of problems and possible optimizations. Then you join your teammates on a quick daily sync to figure out technical challenges, discuss design proposals or just chat with the colleagues. 

After the meeting, you get into “the zone” and spend a few undisturbed hours working on the new authentication framework while making sure it’s safely covered by a suite of unit tests. With a few clicks you quickly spin up a brand new instance of the system in the development cluster, deploy your change and notify the frontend engineer that it’s ready.

You grab a snack and take a little break from coding. Instead, you help a fellow backend engineer from another team figure out the best way to integrate their new service with the audit logging platform. In the meantime the frontend engineer gets back to you and confirms that all the new endpoints work as expected, so you create a merge request and ask your teammates for a code review. It’s a complex piece of code, so you go through it together.

After your code is approved, you merge it, automatically deploying it to the staging environment where it receives further testing by the QA team and automated integration tests before being released to production.

Your responsibilities
