What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain web and backend applications written in JavaScript and Java.
  • Participate on on-call support, monitoring and troubleshooting of all services owned by the team.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code for both front-end and back-end components.
  • Conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and ensure code quality through unit testing and integration testing.
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in full stack web development.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong back-end development skills with experience in languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Ruby.
  • Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.

The base salary for this position ranges between $ 71,000 to $135,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. About this team and role:

As a Senior Staff Full-Stack Engineer on the Solo team, you will work within a very small engineering team for Solo AI Website Creator. The stack includes a React front-end with Netlify, Firebase and GCP on the backend, BigQuery for data as well as a range of 3rd party services. 

You should be comfortable operating in a scrappy environment, researching as required, writing technical specs, reviewing PRs, investigating customer support issues and mostly writing code. The role may evolve to becoming the Technical Lead within the team and possibly assuming some planning and/or light-weight project management duties. You will be working closely with the Head of Solo to execute at a fast cadence and much like a startup, directly influence the shape and future of Solo, an early-stage product.

In this team, you will:

  • Do meaningful work in an interesting field creating services and apps for pilots, cabin crew, cargo operations, customer service and others in the airline industry
  • Work with the latest technologies in 100% serverless, event-driven AWS architecture including among others Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, OpenAPI, automated CI/CD pipelines and React/React Native front end using TypeScript
  • Collaborate in an international team with talented, motivated people from around the world: we encourage working together and helping each other out, developing our ways of working and giving feedback in a positive manner.

From you, we wish:

  • +5 years of previous experience in other companies with solid experience in software development and being part of a development team.
  • +5 years using AWS, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Angular, event-driven architecture, and OpenAPI.
  • Good communication skills and a positive mindset.
  • Fluency in English.

Description du poste

A Back-End Control System Developer at our client leverages experience and skills in software development to provide solutions for control systems in the themed entertainment industry. This cutting-edge position offers the opportunity to work on projects of all sizes. The role involves developing custom, client-tailored software solutions.

  • Provide the company and its clients with software control solutions, monitoring dashboards and interfaces, and custom GUIs for Audio/Visual/Lighting installations.
  • Develop custom equipment drivers, control methodologies & architectures, and custom control software.
  • Develop and test software (end-to-end development cycle).
  • Develop web-based applications, back-end services, and modules in collaboration with other team members.
  • Write specifications and design narratives.
  • Balance multiple projects/assignments with alacrity while aggressively meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Self-manage assignments and work autonomously when necessary.
  • Be highly collaborative and focused on sharing details routinely and consistently with team members.
  • Demonstrate a persistent optimism and ability to navigate challenges in a way that produces value, exceeds expectations, and promotes company success.

Qualifications

  • Experience with back-end development; front-end development a plus.
  • Proficient in Go, JavaScript, Typescript, JSON, XML.
  • Proficient and knowledgeable in ReactJS or VueJS frameworks a plus.
  • Experience with any of these is a plus: Node.JS, Lua, Node-RED, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Docker
  • Knowledgeable with agile methods, development life cycle tools, Gitlab/Jira/Git.
  • Understanding of RESTful API, socket.io/Websocket, database concepts.
  • Experience with utilizing APIs to communicate with devices or software using a defined protocol
  • Knowledge of A/V systems, equipment, concepts, and technologies a plus
  • Office365 suite including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel
