Your Role:

The Technical Product Marketing Manager is the technical lead for the Cloud Security Product Marketing team, responsible for technical writing, demo development, practitioner-focused campaigns, presentations, and more across the Tenable Cloud Security portfolio. The role is a great fit for sales engineers and technologists looking to broaden their marketing skills and help define the way our products are positioned and sold. You will work to understand the target audience and their pain points, then link Tenable’s unique value proposition and competitive differentiators to position us for market growth. 
Your Opportunity:
  •  Lead efforts to market to technical practitioners by deeply understanding their needs and use cases as well as Tenable products and technology
  • Create and deliver product demos to illustrate Tenable capabilities, differentiators, and benefits for practitioners
  • Create technical product marketing materials, including videos, white papers, presentations, web content, and more
  • Present in webinars and other public event forums to evangelize Tenable product capabilities and customer value
  • Conduct sales enablement sessions to help field teams understand Tenable technology and how to position it effectively with prospects and customers
  • Contribute to marketing strategy and messaging, and help maintain technical accuracy of marketing messages 
  • Work with customers and partners to understand their needs and illustrate product capabilities and value

What You'll Need:
  •  5+ years of demonstrated experience in technical product marketing, technical product management, sales engineering, or similar roles
  • Hands on experience working with Tenable products (a plus) or other DevOps and Cloud Security tools
  • Experience in enterprise software markets, ideally those serving Cloud Operations, Information Security, or Application teams
  • Familiarity with DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, continuous delivery, test-driven development, information security and compliance standards, and the container ecosystem
  • Your written and oral communications skills are superb, and you can explain complex concepts clearly for a variety of audiences
  • You are able to successfully build relationships and collaborate with geographically dispersed teams
  • You have the ability to blend strategic thinking with creative execution

Purpose of the role

What You’ll Bring to The Team:

What you’ll need:

Job Description:

The Sr. Product Marketing Manager sits at the intersection of DealerOn’s product, marketing, business solutions and training teams. This position will primarily work with our Consumer Applications product group supporting our core website product along with other consumer facing applications such as our native eCommerce tool APEX (Automotive Purchase Experience) and chat/engagement product – Cyrus. Essential Functions:

  • Develop deep product and solution expertise
  • Own the buyer persona and customer profile

  • Prior experience with digital advertising channels and metrics (Google, YouTube, FB, LinkedIn)

What you'll do: 

  • Become a product and industry expert for the Imperva product(s) you cover as a product marketer

  • Partner with product management, technical product marketing and sales engineers to identify core differentiators and traps against our competitive landscape. Develop compelling content for competitive programs.
  • Create campaign messaging and content for business development representatives as required to support ongoing marketing initiatives.
  • Create customer case studies and deliver webinars that help to demonstrate the value of Imperva for our customers.
  • Participate in PR and analyst relations efforts, including briefings and market research reports.

Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in product marketing, product management,  or experience marketing ideally a security product or at min one that is a technical B2B product.
  • Understand market dynamics, the competition, and needs and pain points of developers and security buyers, with a deep understanding of the cybersecurity space.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proven ability to be self-directed, to work with minimal supervision, and to prioritize efforts..
  • Fast learner with outstanding English communication skills and the ability to explain and translate complex technical concepts into simple and intuitive communications.

  • Help build technical content to support Imperva security products and solutions for the middle and bottom of the funnel to support the consideration and decision stage of the buyer's journey.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS (business, marketing, or engineering preferred).
  • Must have prior experience (3+ Years) in a Technical Marketing, Sales Engineering, or Software Development role within the security industry.
  • Able to effectively present technical material to small and large groups.
  • Possess a solid understanding of web applications, security, and networking.
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SSL, Web Applications, Load balancers, proxies, and firewalls.
  • Compliance standards knowledge – an advantage.
  • Proven background in writing scripts (Perl/Shell/Python) and/or SQL queries.
  • Experience with network or web application firewalls (WAF) and/or IDS/IPS
  • Database proxy or database firewall experience is desirable.
  • Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit and sense of urgency. Must be resourceful, proactive, and aggressive.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess a high level of integrity.
  • Team player that works well in collaborative situations
