Your impact

Handshake is hiring a Senior Manager, Sales Development to lead and inspire a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). You will partner closely with Sales Leadership to develop and execute winning sales strategies, set team goals and exceed team and individual quota attainment.

Your role

  • Manage, mentor, develop and drive the performance of Inbound and/or Outbound Sales Development Representatives (ISDRs & OSDRs).
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach and develop SDRs to exceed the Company’s ARR Plan, SDR team quota and individual quotas.
  • Analyze current outreach and opportunity generation practices, immerse yourself in team metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales, Sales Leaders, Account Executives, SDRs, and Revenue Operations to optimize lead volume and quality, deliver a healthy pipeline of qualified outbound leads and exceed outbound pipeline and ARR targets, SDR team quota and individual quotas.
  • Collaborate closely with our Marketing & cross-functional demand generation stakeholders to develop and execute on lead generation campaigns, improve SLA on Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), improve conversion rate of Inbound MQLs to qualified sales opportunities and exceed inbound pipeline and ARR targets.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking to drive higher lead conversion, accelerate ARR, and reduce ramp time for new SDR/BDR hires.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to generate data analyses and determine training curriculum needs, goals and deliverables.
  • Through continuous process improvement, contribute to the team growth and success of the broader Sales team.
  • Support the development of the SDR organization, preparing team members for career progression into Account Executive roles.

Your experience

  • You have 8+ years of relevant salesexperience driving new business ARR for a high-growth business.
  • 3+ years managing Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in a fast-paced, technology/SaaS company
  • You have proven success exceeding SDR team quotas and individual quotas.
  • You have a demonstrated record of strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • You identify and communicate organizational roadblocks and are able to resolve them proactively.
  • Experience exceeding the expectations of executive leadership by beating your targets and unpacking the root causes and variables that led to your team’s successes and areas of improvement. 
  • You have a robust Salesforce analysis and reporting skill set and have detailed knowledge of the SaaS tech stack including prospecting and outreach technologies.
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work independently and adaptively, anticipate and mitigate friction points, and take initiative to promptly resolve and learn from challenges.

  • Experience in both a startup environment (<$150M ARR) and a scaled business ($1B+ ARR)

Compensation range

  • $210,000 - $235,000 OTE + RSUs

Your impact

As a Customer Education Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering high-quality content to Handshake's employer partners. Your role

Content Creation & Product Knowledge

Your experience

  • 3+ years of training experience, delivering both live, in-person and virtual training.

  • Proven experience in designing training courses using a learning management system.

  • Deep understanding of instructional design theory and learning principles.

  • Demonstrated experience with SaaS applications or the ability to quickly learn new technologies.

  • Familiarity with reporting tools and strong data analysis skills.

  • A proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Job Description

As an Account Executive for State & Local Government Accounts, you will be crucial in building and closing deals within the SLG sector. You will develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, identify opportunities, and drive the sales process from lead generation to deal closure across your accounts. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the hiring needs and challenges of large and small SLG agencies and an acute understanding of how they function. It will also require strategic thinking, relationship building, and a strong focus on achieving revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and cultivate deep relationships with senior executives at executive levels
  • Meet or exceed annual quota by generating high volume of meetings with SLG and its large departments and agencies
  • Understand a department or agencies’ business drivers, challenges and pain points
  • Navigate SLG acquisition processes and contracting
  • Schedule, manage and run large department meetings with senior economic buyers within large SLG Departments
  • Create proposals, executive briefings, and conduct executive roundtables for HR and business leaders at SLG agencies
  • Generate scalable pipeline and revenue to achieve 100% of annual quota attainment
  • Lead participation in industry events to drive new business development
  • Coordinate large-scale efforts across various departments to drive enterprise-wide agreements
  • Utilize Salesforce.com on a daily basis to manage activity, leads, follow-up and pipeline
  • Execute new sales activities in support of our market pursuit when requested

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of US government acquisition process and contracting 
  • 3-5+ years of Account Executive experience selling Saas based solutions into the SLG space
  • Success in pitching and closing six-figure deals
  • Experience navigating and building relationships within large departments and agencies within the SLG
  • Proven ability to negotiate large government contracts while developing off-cycle pipeline and new lead generation
  • Proven success selling enterprise-wide solutions
  • Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to manage a room of senior government officials
  • Ability to navigate complex contract structures
  • A strong history of quota attainment and excellent performance
  • Experience preparing account plans and business value narratives
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with a go-to-market team

  • $260,000 - $280,000 OTE

Your role

  • Provide subject matter expertise around optimizing and streamlining the HRIS eco- system primarily Workday. Your impact

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and managing Handshake's omni-channel digital and offline advertising campaigns to meet customer acquisition targets for both our enterprise and self-service products. Handshake is hiring a Business Development Representative supporting the Strategic Sales Team (our largest, highest spending accounts from the Fortune 100+) on the Employer side of our business. In this role, you will represent Handshake by helping our potential and current customers successfully navigate their journey with our all-in-one early talent recruiting platform connecting them to 12M+ students and alumni across 90% of top educational institutions in the US (and growing).  

You will engage effectively in written form and conduct high-level conversations with early talent experts and senior business executives in prospect accounts to fuel our company's growth. You will work with our Marketing Team to improve our campaigns and messaging and partner closely with our Sales Team to create and execute a territory plan. Your role

With a mix of solid process and creativity, you will help drive new business revenue through both inbound and outbound opportunity generation, including: 

  • Prospecting and generating leads with employers
  • Collaborating closely with your Strategic Account Executives and cross functional partners to develop strategic account plans to target ATLs (above the line) prospects, and messaging/talk-tracks
  • Establish rapport with all levels of customers including senior executives
  • Establish exciting new relationships and opportunities, and meet with prospective Employers
  • Qualifying new opportunities and handling complex objections
  • Use Salesforce for contact and account management and forecasting
  • Establish rapport with all levels of customers, especially with senior executives
  • Continuously improving your approach by using data-driven solutions to track your results

  • This will be a hybrid role, so you must be willing to work from our San Francisco/NYC office with the ability for domestic travel up to 40%

You will have an opportunity to learn and grow in this role. We support our BDRs and seek to promote BDRs internally based on demonstrating success in the role, alignment with our values, and a passion for helping students.

Your experience

  •  2+ years of professional experience, including 1+ years of Handshake sales experience in EDU or Employer sales facing role with annual commitment agreements 
  • 6 months minimum of Outbound SDR Experience (Mid-Market or Enterprise)
  • 80% average attainment to quota over the last quarter or more, no months below 70% (ramp months not eligible)
  • A track record of building 3X in pipeline coverage
  • Consistent measurable overachievements in past experiences and strong history of quota attainment and performance at Handshake
  • Ambitious and self-motivated with comfort in a quota-carrying environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment

Your impact

  • Cloud platform expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies. This includes tools like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform) and an ML stack (Vertex, SageMaker, Ray, or similar) for handling machine learning workflows.
  • ML aptitude:Experience building product features with ML frameworks like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow and big data tooling like Spark.

Your role

  • Lead and deliver end-to-end field and event campaigns that align with sales and retention objectives and overall company revenue targets

  • Partner closely with key go-to-market leaders as well as individual reps to strategize and execute against programs that impact pipeline and increase engagement, effectively communicate upcoming plans, and get feedback 

  • Research and contribute to maintaining an ongoing calendar of 3rd party industry events to determine the best fit for Handshake 

  • Manage event deliverables & logistics including online tech (Zoom, Goldcast, SplashThat etc.) & AV, event calendaring, and swag

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing Operations and Design to develop and optimize event assets including landing pages and email templates (we use SplashThat and Outreach!)

  • Measure, analyze and share ROI for field marketing programs, including attendee feedback, opportunity generation, deal acceleration 

  • Get creative and innovative with event engagement, positioning and promotion - always be asking “what haven’t we tried or tested?”

  • Travel 1x month is required 

Your experience

  • 4-5+ years of webinar, events, and conference management experience. B2B SaaS company experience required.  

  • Experience running hosted and 3rd party virtual events & webinars

  • Dependable with strong project management and organization skills with an ability to develop and deliver events and programs within an ever-evolving environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ideal candidate has great interpersonal skills and finds it easy to communicate with team members at all levels of the organization

  • Experience with the following technologies:

    • Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)

    • SplashThat (or other software) for event registrations and landing pages 

    • Salesforce 

    • Marketing Automation: Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot, Pardot (or similar)

Your impact

The IT Support Engineer at Handshake is responsible for maintaining the IT needs of the company, including but not limited to the distribution, troubleshooting, maintenance, and disposal of corporate devices and other IT equipment. Your experience

  • 1-2 years experience as an IT Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar role, preferably within a SaaS-based high-growth company.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations, including automation, application implementation, and business analysis.
  • Proficiency in laptop lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up, troubleshoot, and replace A/V equipment used for video conferencing.
  • Hands-on experience with Mac OS environments is a must.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues such as internet connectivity, device malfunctions, etc.
  • Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.
  • BS/BA in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field.

Handshake is hiring a Principal Product Manager to help us deliver the AI and Data initiatives for our marketplace’s success. Your impact

We’re looking for a Strategic Account Executive to join our Employer Sales Team - showcasing Handshake as the premier way for top brands to recruit emerging college talent. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a stable book of business: prospecting, cultivating, and closing new accounts while growing existing customer relationships and helping Handshake hit growth and attainment targets. You will maximize revenue while producing value and brand awareness for hundreds of current and prospective clients across the country.

Your role

  • Drive revenue growth for Handshake’s F100 customers 
  • Generate scalable revenue and hit target quota on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Develop and cultivate deep relationships with senior executives at the Director, VP, and C Suite levels
  • Interact and collaborate across Handshake, engaging with internal Customer Success, Insights, and the Leadership and Executive teams to build and grow our strategic partnerships. 
  • Actively source and provide valuable market research, including industry-specific information and trends for customers and teammates.  
  • Build business value narratives that incorporate qualitative and quantitative ROI modeling.
  • Command, report and forecast sales performance - from prospecting target accounts and contacts to closing deals and growing existing relationships
  • Create proposals, executive briefings, and seasonal business reviews for HR and business leaders at F100 companies.  
  • Expand pre-existing and new customer relationships by encouraging adoption and managing annual upsells  

Your experience

  • At least 10+ years of sales experience in Enterprise and/or Strategic SaaS and/or HR tech sales, minimum 5 years of Large Enterprise closing experience
  • Experience operating in a high-growth business environment like Handshake
  • Successful in closing large six figure and seven figure deals 
  • Excellent customer facing skills 
  • Ability to navigate complex contract structures 
  • A strong history of quota attainment and excellent performance on a high-reaching team
  • Ability to successfully drive revenue and growth through the development of long-term strategic relationships with existing customers
  • Experience preparing account plans, business value narratives, and 
  • Proven ability to collaborate successfully with a go to market team
  • Proven ability to engage with executives at F500 companies

Your impact
