Job Description

We are seeking a GCP Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based solutions for our multinational Customer. The role involves setting up infrastructure, developing a microservices-based API framework in Golang, and ensuring robust security and governance practices. The ideal candidate has expertise in cloud infrastructure, API development, and CI/CD processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure GCP-based solutions to meet clients' business requirements 
  • Advising clients on the best practices and optimal use of GCP services and features 
  • Building and maintaining GCP infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components 
  • Automating deployment and management of GCP resources using tools like Terraform and Ansible 
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting GCP infrastructure, applications, and services 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement end-to-end solutions that leverage GCP services 
  • Staying up to date with GCP offerings and new features, and recommending improvements to existing solutions 
  • Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements 
  • Developing and maintaining documentation related to GCP architecture, configurations, and processes 
  • Client wants to build an API based framework in Golang, this framework should be in microservices architecture. 
  • Experience in integration of Cloud IAM ang Azure AD. Setting up data, network and infra security and right Governance for continuous management. 

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 8+ years of commercial experience in software development or software architecture
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and services.
  • Proficiency in Golang for API development within a microservices architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
  • Familiarity with integrating Cloud IAM and Azure AD for secure access management.
  • Expertise in infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • In-depth knowledge of data, network, and infrastructure security practices.
  • Strong understanding of scalable and reliable cloud architecture design.
  • Prior experience in documenting technical architectures and processes.
  • Experience in setting up governance for continuous management and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good English language skills, both written and verbal

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.

Role - Senior Performance Test Engineer 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute performance tests to measure application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, Loadrunner, or Neoload
  • Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid 6-8 years of hands-on experience in using any of the performance testing tools such as  JMeter, Gatling, HP LoadRunner, Neo Load, Blaze Meter etc., with various protocols like HTTP/HTML, Web Services, MQ, Websocket etc. 
  • Extensive experience in end to end Performance Testing, Analysis, Troubleshooting and Optimization of large-scale enterprise systems
  • Strong understanding of performance testing concepts and various test types such as load testing, stress testing, endurance testing etc. 
  • Hands on Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, SumoLogic or Splunk
  • Proficiency in any of the scripting languages such as Java, Ruby, Python, Bash or Groovy
  • Good experience working in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Agile, CI/CD, DevOps environments
  • Hands on experience with Kubernetes clusters and pods

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science/Network Security/Telecommunication

  • Knowledge of the networking and security industry, products, and protocols

  • At least 8 years experience working with network design, engineering, and support.

  • Proficient in SDWAN implementations and management

About the Role (your why)

The Endpoint Engineering team assists companies by supporting their environments day to day and recommending best practices to follow and implement. The team designs, builds, supports, and continuously improves end user solutions end to end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernise their end user experience. You will problem-solve technical issues for customers to show how these products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. As a Senior SOE Engineer you will manage the day-to-day operations of the Customers endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when they arise. You will have a key focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience to Datacom’s endpoint customer base.

We place a high degree of focus on developing our staff internally and offer financial incentives for engineers that certify in the technologies we use to support our customers.

What you will do

As a Senior SOE Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including Intune
  • Strong technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
  • Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory – Group Policy Management
  • Strong Scripting ability (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch)
  • Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and end point configuration
  • Experience with facilitating large and enterprise scale software deployments
  • Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment wide configurations including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise grade endpoint management platforms (Intune)
  • Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
  • Operate in, and contribute to the winning culture of a high performing team
  • Identify service improvements, efficiencies and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
  • Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognised ITIL processes (e.g., change/release).
  • Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requested
  • Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)
  • Assist with projects as required and act as the lead
  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in MECM
  • Experience with M365 would be advantageous
  • Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation such as Designs, As-Builts, How-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecycles


What you will bring

You will have 5 years’ IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 5 years’ experience in a similar Senior SOE Engineer role. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows Modern Desktop technologies. Along with good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services and Enterprise applications. You will have exceptional skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop). You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritisation skills; and will be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites and conferences when required.
