About the Job

This role is for an iOS engineer within the Life360 team.This person will be an integral part of the core of our applications as they will be required to become experts in areas ranging from background collection services to our highly visible mapping features. As a member of the team it is expected that you will be highly involved in architecting, designing, and leading development of the next generation of our systems and features. 

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is 160,000 to 220,000 USD. For candidates based out of Canada, the salary range for this position is 165,000 to 210,000 CAD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

You will:

  • Partner with Product Manager and Design to develop new features for our sellers

  • Define and prioritize the technical roadmap for the team

  • Provide technical guidance and uphold technical standards for systems and applications

  • Manage and support a team of 6-10 engineers

  • Collaborate with other managers and senior leaders to ensure alignment across the organization

You have:

  • 3+ years of people management experience leading a team of mobile engineers

      Job Description

      We are looking for a QA Tester with experience in the Video Game industry to work with our multi-talented team to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
      With a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills, you will ensure that our games, features, and systems work as expected and that we deliver bug-free content on time. Working together with the rest of the QA team, the development department as well and the various stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to understand all the internal dynamics and impact the way we build our product processes.

      Responsibilities

      Requirements

Technical work will focus on gaining exposure to services within the Cozi team, as well as key areas of the platform beyond team boundaries where ownership is shared. By the end of your first month, you will be acclimated to the operating rhythm and rituals of the Cozi Product team and gain confidence by taking on increasingly complex tasks.

      Try, learn, ship.

      By day 60, you will be comfortable operating within our SDLC from planning through production releases. You will have a broad understanding of our app architecture and develop a deeper understanding in areas of initial focus. Through weekly work that presents complex and varied challenges, you will continue becoming familiar with processes, patterns, and best practices. By releasing regularly, you will have an impact on end users.

      Solidifying the foundation.

      Beyond the first couple of months, you will grow into an autonomous operator, capable of architecting solutions to complex problems that are consistent with our existing patterns and best practices with minimal supervision and support from others. You will partner with cross-functional engineering teammates, as well as your product manager, designer, and engineering manager to help build execution plans to build out new features that support our product and business strategy.

      With a solid foundational understanding of platform architecture, design patterns, and best practices you will have opportunities to inform and affect change at the platform level to further your ownership, impact, and growth. Through partnership with product and design you will be empowered to influence strategy and end-user experience and impact. Complex product problems, and technical challenges related to scale and modernization will present opportunities to establish yourself as a subject matter expert, expand your impact and ownership, and continue learning and growing as an engineer.

      What you bring:

      • 5+ years of iOS development experience. 
      • Experience with Swift. 
      • Experience with SwiftUI.
      • Experience interacting with web APIs (REST, JSON-RPC, etc.). 
      • Flexibility to take on a wide range of tasks to fill in any gaps that exist to make a product successful. 
      • Strong analytic experience and a bias for data-driven decision making. 
      • Proven experience delivering software applications/features from inception to release within a cross-functional team environment. 

      Great to haves: 

      • Experience with Objective-C. 
      • Experience with Swift Package Manager. 
      • Experience with other UI tooling such as Storyboards, Interface Builder, and UIKit.
      • Experience with iOS testing frameworks. 
      • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.
      • Familiarity with design and development collaboration tools (Figma, inVision, etc.) 
      • Experience with iterative, agile based software delivery processes.
