The Mobile Zone at Signify Health builds and maintains Signify Android and iOS applications, enabling the use of thousands of mobile devices for health care providers. We are looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer IV (QE-IV) who will be established as the Mobile Zone QE, working with all teams within the Mobile Zone to standardize and help implement manual mobile testing, mobile automation testing, and mobile performance testing strategies. This individual will work with our business counterparts in order to ensure cross-team collaborative testing for business initiatives, bringing visibility to coverage and risk across the Mobile Zone.

What will you do?

• Establish mobile testing strategies and capabilities across the Mobile Zone for Android and iOS
• Champion and help to lead implementation of mobile testing strategies and capabilities across the Mobile Zone
• Design, write, and maintain automated tests for Android and iOS, including system, integration, end-to-end, and performance tests
• Regularly partner with business and development to align and prioritize testing needs for cross-team and cross-zone initiatives
• Create and maintain initiative dashboards to bring clarity into the status and risk of initiatives
• Document and report bugs or issues found for automated or manual testing
• Drive release planning and assist in troubleshooting during rollbacks or failures
• Implement and champion a metrics driven approach to continuous improvement of software quality
• Provide reporting and recommend improvements such as in-code coverage and defect density
• Lead efforts to research and document the root cause for output issues and identify which areas are not in sync
• Analyze and debug crashes reported through mobile insight applications
• Drive improvement to processes and technologies related with Quality Engineering
• Manage tasks for self and teammates to meet the assigned project dates

The base salary hiring range for this position is $108,900 to $189,700. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.

Reporting to our Chief Product & Technology Officer, you will help us make the tough technology decisions needed to serve our clients. You will guide our team of principal and lead engineers to formulate the overall technical strategy for the organization. You will be called upon to de-risk the hardest technical challenges we face as we design loosely coupled systems and make buy-vs-build decisions to meet business needs and serve our customers efficiently. • Build a strategic vision for our architecture by incorporating data, business objectives, and industry knowledge
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and principal engineers from across various domain and platform teams

• 15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience
• 10+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
• Deep sense of empathy and passion for consumers and end-users
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, adjacent fields or equivalent years of experience
• Experience working with distributed teams in the US. We use GitHub, Slack, Jira and Zoom extensively to collaborate
• Deep experience at influencing without positional authority, using great judgment to help teams be loosely coupled but highly aligned to the technical strategy
• Experience building architectures and strategies that serve multiple platforms (web, iOS, Android)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Disciplined and balanced work ethic as a role model for other engineers
• Good understanding of machine learning and data science fundamentals is beneficial
• Experience with optimizing AWS investment across a complex architecture
• Deep knowledge of tradeoffs between different API integration technologies (REST, RPC, etc)
• Experience with Ruby and Rails, Golang, GraphQL, Node.js, and/or React is a plus
• Experience working on high-scale e-commerce websites and mobile apps
• Experience at a rapid scale or high team growth environment is a plus

About The Role:

Agero has a vision to automate the roadside assistance industry. This means providing the automotive and insurance industry with a way to enter details about people who have broken down, then automatically determining the best quality and fastest response from thousands of towers and their nationwide fleet of tow trucks all running our towing app.This creates interesting UI/UX challenges - we’re building something that no one else has built and we have three user perspectives on the same data. We work in small teams of 3-5 engineers called “squads” to strategically execute on different areas of the codebase. This creates a small-team feeling while being a part of a larger organization.  We're using React on the Web, and React Native for iOS and Android.

Key Outcomes:

• Own the front end web code and experience
• Help shape the front end architecture and institute best practices throughout our code base
• Help grow and mentor the front end team
• Help scale the front end codebase to keep up with increasing demand
• Work with a designer / product manager to get new features out quickly and bug free
• Convert Figma files into functional styled components
• Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility
• Bring innovative ideas and solve complex technology problems 
• Work closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, QA engineers, and backend developers. 
• Own the successful implementation of product features and codebase improvements, from development to release and beyond.
• Collaborate with other members of the front end team

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software development or UI/UX development experience 
• 3+ yrs professional experience in a modern React environment (Hooks, Context, API, Suspense)
• Extensive knowledge of testing (Cypress for visual regression testing, Jest for unit testing) 
• Excellent knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Experience using git with pull requests and code reviews
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent
