What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain web and backend applications written in JavaScript and Java.
• Participate on on-call support, monitoring and troubleshooting of all services owned by the team.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code for both front-end and back-end components.

The base salary for this position ranges between $ 71,000 to $135,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. You will: 

• Ensure product high uptime and reliability 24x7.
• Manage Linux servers in a multi-cloud environment
• Manage high availability Kubernetes resources using Helm charts
• Assist with deploying upgrades and patches using Chef/Ansible/Puppet/Helm
• Monitoring and troubleshooting warnings and alerts related to the reporting platform’s performance
• Develop monitoring resources and alerting systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, DataDog and PagerDuty
• Coordinate with DBA and developers to manage SQL and NOSQL database systems, including MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Postgres, MySQL and others
• Managing message bus systems such as Kafka and Pulsar
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/Gitlab/Teamcity

You have:

• Minimum 4+ years of experience of managing cloud based production environment (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
• Highly experienced working in the Linux environment, good scripting in Bash / Python.
• Highly experienced working configuration management systems like OpsCode Chef, Ansible, Puppet,  etc.
• Strong experience in Terraform, CloudFormation or other IAC
• Experienced in SQL, including DDL and complex queries
• Experienced working in the Kubernetes platform
• Experience working in a microservices architecture using a message bus
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines orchestrators like TeamCity, Jenkins, Gitlab
• Ability to integrate security best practices into the SRE workflow.

About the role

StyleSeat is looking to add a Senior Data Engineer to its cross-functional Search product team. This team of data scientists, analysts, data engineers, software engineers and SDETs is focused on improving our search capability and customer search experience. The Senior Data Engineer will use frameworks and tools to perform the ETL and propose abstractions of those methods to aid in solving the problems associated with data ingestion.

Salary Range

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The career level we are targeting for this role has a base pay between $136,900 and $184,600. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. As a Senior Backend Engineer for the Data Platform team at Postscript, you will provide the company with best in class data foundations to support a broad range of key engineering and product initiatives. The Data Platform team at Postscript focuses on data integration through various sources like our production application and various 3rd party integrations. You will focus on designing and building end to end data pipeline solutions: data ingestion, propagation, persistence, and services to support both our product and our internal BI organization. This role is critical in ensuring data and events are reliable and actionable throughout the Postscript Platform.

We are currently seeking a senior backend software engineer to join Addepar in our data imports team! This team is passionate about handling large volumes of data, and the engineering challenges in building the distributed systems responsible for automated data ingestion and transformation.
