Job Summary

ActiveProspect is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join our talented Marketing team. This will be a hands-on position that is responsible for all facets of company-wide events management. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Product Ownership:Assume Product Owner role within scrum team and requisite ownership of the Product Backlog, including creation of both client-facing user stories and detailed integration requirements in collaboration with UX and engineering. Maintain prioritization of backlog, helping team balance tech/UI debt and feature development.
  • Collaboration and Accountability: Work closely with Product Management, engineers, designers, and client success to create new and improved integrations for our products.  Be a reliable point-of-contact for the client success and product delivery teams, fielding integration requests, and coordination across teams.
  • Voice of the Customer:Obsess to keep the voice of the customer heard. Demonstrate experience navigating discovery research aiming to focus on identifying needs and opportunities.

  • Ability to write concisely to be understood rather than just heard.

Job Summary

As the Vice President of Engineering you will take a critical, hands-on role in helping shape the Company’s technological strategy, cultivate the engineering culture, set process, and build, lead, and guide our engineering organization.This position will be a driving force for the strategy, development, and delivery of our products, reporting directly to the CTO, and working as part of the leadership team.

Core Job Functions

  • Leadership.Provide leadership, management, and technical vision to the engineering team and the company
  • Accountability.Work closely with Product teams to develop goals and delivery commitments to ensure ActiveProspect scales quickly and sustainably
  • Infrastructure.Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leaders to ensure that operational and reliability requirements are clearly articulated and integrated into the product roadmap
  • Compliance.Ensure decisions are made in accordance with compliance requirements such as SOC 2 Type 2, CCPA, and GDPR
  • Transparency.Report on standard KPIs on a monthly basis to ensure the engineering organization is meeting business objectives
  • Planning.Serve as a critical partner to the CTO to prioritize, plan, and budget across engineering departments & operations
  • Teamwork.Work interdepartmentally to establish a unified management strategy and process across engineering teams
  • Recruit and Develop.Recruit world-class engineering talent with deliberate and effective hiring strategies and guide the team member’s professional development and growth
  • Collaborate.Work with stakeholders across the company and on the leadership team to ensure that business objectives are met
  • People and Operations.Manage all engineering schedules, budget and resource allocations

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years experience managing and operating large-scale customer-facing production environments with a focus on uptime and service quality
  • Skilled at empathetically managing teams of 20+ engineers 
  • Process and results oriented - we are constantly refining how we deliver and measure efficacy of our engineering teams 
  • Experience with SOC2 compliance and/or other compliance initiatives
  • Experience with acquisitions and/or international expansion a plus
  • Experience working in diverse technical environments, managing legacy products, and new development initiatives
  • Experience working with sensitive data transmission and storage 
  • Broad knowledge of programming languages, software architecture, design and database systems
  • Previous experience as a software engineer (history of promotion from within)
  • Strong communication skills and high-level problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
