What you'll be doing...

We are looking to recruit a Senior Marketing Manager (12 months, Maternity Cover)  to lead the strategic development and management of comprehensive marketing campaigns.

Working for the world's leading wine Awards,  you will drive the award entries through multi-channel marketing strategies, content creation, brand partnerships and international collaborations.

  • Understanding of wine at WSET Level 3 or above (or equivalent)

  • In post-sale, own social and social video strategy and execution for all branded content campaigns across gaming and tech. 
  • Collaborate with the branded content, marketing, and creative teams on photo, longform video, and livestream shoots, including concept ideation, creative and pre-production decks, on-set content capture, editing, and overall execution. 
  • Develop social media copy and select and/or source imagery for branded content, sales, marketing, and affiliate efforts for multiple Future sites across the GET$ (Tom’s Guide, PC Gamer, GamesRadar, TechRadar, etc.) verticals.
  • Use campaign insights and reporting to develop learnings that inform future pitches.
  • Maintain synergy between marketing calendar and editorial calendar, including livestream programming, and act as liaison between branded content and editorial social teams.
  • Brainstorm with social team leadership to proactively concept innovative and out-of-the-box ideas across tried-and-true + emerging platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, Live Shopping, Metaverse, AR/VR, AI) for branded content campaigns.
  • Stay abreast of key industry trends, competitive insights and emerging social media, marketing, and e-commerce technologies.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve..

  • 6+ years of experience in online publishing or marketing, with a background in social media. Experience in a branded content/social team at a major publisher is a plus. 
  • Very well versed in the gaming and tech landscape, with an understanding of how these categories come to life within the media industry and within commercial campaigns. 
  • An interest in social media/content marketing, a deep understanding of social media and social video strategy and best practices across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, X, and YouTube, and experience with social publishing and reporting tools.

We're looking for an experienced and driven Data Protection Executive to join our dynamic Privacy team. You'll support the business in fulfilling its data protection obligations, playing an important part in safeguarding privacy across the organisation. We are looking for an analytical thinker who is both creative and eager to learn, with a flair for thinking outside the box.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Data Protection and Privacy Manager, the Data Protection Executive will also work with the Head of Data Protection and Privacy and key teams within Compliance and Legal. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business, ensuring they meet their data protection responsibilities while navigating an evolving regulatory landscape.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with data protection legislation, including the EU GDPR, DPA 2018, and UK PECR.
  • Knowledge of US privacy legislation and an awareness of regulatory focus by region.
  • Familiarity with adtech and martech.
  • The ability to simplify technical concepts for non-specialist audiences.

What you'll be doing...

As the Audience Editor, you will be:

  • Developing a content search strategy to attract and convert new audiences via organic search, while maintaining The Week's tone and brand values
  • Using analytics tools to monitor performance and react to Google algorithm updates 
  • Suggesting articles that will increase traffic to the site
  • Guiding the social media editor and editing their social media posts, with an understanding of The Week’s tone, voice and house style, as well as the ways in which The Week content works and doesn’t work on social media 
  • Providing feedback and any updates regarding SEO best practices
  • Supporting the social media editor and editorial and marketing teams as needed
  • Supporting the social media editor’s daily social media output as needed

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in audience engagement and search
  • Proven track record in audience growth
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in current affairs and world news
  • Familiarity with The Week’s approach to news and a good sense of what interests our readers
  • Experience using content management systems

We’re looking for an experienced marketeer who is a confident communicator with excellent skills in marketing, analytics and problem solving - essential to delivering our core metrics. What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Head of Retention, you’ll be responsible for driving yield and revenue, and improving lifetime value across our digital and print subscriber base. Delivering retention and engagement marketing initiatives to reduce churn and win back customers. You’ll be experienced in retention analytics and be confident in presenting results and recommendations to key stakeholders at all levels.

Above all, you will be customer centric and will always deliver a first class customer experience, whilst also reviewing how we can reduce costs and maximise our retention budget to support LTV across the business.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve...

  • At least 4 years experience in retention or CRM marketing, ideally from a subscriptions background
  • Experience with managing multi-channel marketing campaigns including email
  • Knowledge of CRM/CDP Platforms and automated digital journeys
  • Experience using Google Workspace apps and collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of the latest opportunities and trends within retention marketing 
  • Have a creative approach to managing solutions from start to finish and not afraid to push boundaries
