    The essence of the role
    Support Data Center infrastructure operations by ensuring services availability as per SLA defined at Sinch India. As Senior System Administrator, you will be a key part of our business IT Infrastructure team where you will be responsible for management of virtualized production environment.

    As our new ROLE, you will:

    • Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
    • Administer & Manage AWS workload (Console/Support/Resource Limits/Budget), working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3.
    • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
    • Monitoring of AWS infrastructure, knowledge of monitoring tools like CloudWatch etc., manage custom event triggers, Custom logs etc.
    • Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
    • Configuration and network security of the systems to make sure all workloads are configured correctly, are up to date and secure.
    • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
    • Interact with engineering teams, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on needs
    • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
    • Understand, deploy and maintain infrastructure tools for enterprise System Administration
    • Oversee daily Operational activities and support issues. Lead from the front for all critical issues to ensure faster recovery of services.
    • Monitors and log the actual service provided, compared to that required by service level agreements.

    Responsibilities

    • Due to the sensitive nature of Verisk data assets, the individual will follow and help to refine standard processes and must demonstrate attention to detail. 
    • Assist with monitoring and evaluation of cloud resources with respect to Verisk compliance and remediation of issues found.
    • Contribute to technical design of project architectures; evaluate security exposure, cost, and maintenance aspects of proposed solutions; propose alternative solutions to optimize approaches.

    • Assist internal teams with cloud requirements and understanding of AWS services as well as Verisk policies for best practice and compliance.
    • Assist in troubleshooting end-user issues associated with utilizing deployed AWS resources.

    Qualifications

    • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
    • Ability to lead projects to support internal customers and communicate effectively.
    • Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications using Amazon EKS and ECS. Demonstrated ability to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient Kubernetes deployments.
    • Expertise in Linux operating systems, writing and managing AWS scripting for automation and task optimization within cloud environments.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of AWS networking concepts, including VPC endpoints, PrivateLink, VPC peering, and overall VPC architecture. Ability to design and manage secure and efficient network topologies.
