Overview of the Role:

Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise IT Shared Services, the Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer provides advanced engineering services for various applications, servers, and networks which are essential to both Privia clients and Corporate offices. The successful candidate will have a strong mix of the experience and technical skills outlined. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management and delivery of network, voice and data services platforms working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ensure timely delivery of services to Care Centers and the Privia Health enterprise on projects, change requests and incidents

  • Management of on-premises communication closets, cabling and data center environments

  • Management of third-party vendors during project work or service outages, including root cause analysis when necessary

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our solutions, infrastructure/network topology, and overall company mission and objectives

  • Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiently producing high-quality work & deliverables staying abreast of newly emerging technologies

  • Concurrently balance and advance multiple projects and other deliverables

  • Provide direct support for infrastructure components at Data Center, Corporate and Care Center locations

  • Produce and maintain high quality documentation for all deliverables and areas of responsibility

  • Provide expert level of troubleshooting & diagnostics, with deep levels of resourcefulness in identifying and resolving Infrastructure issues

  • Ability to reverse engineer when troubleshooting environment with none to limited documentation and access to application development

  • Accurately define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions 

  • Provide seasoned decision making in working with mission-critical production systems, fast and timely responsiveness to problems, and drive and manage vendors towards timely resolution of issues

  • Share knowledge and solutions learned with team members and management through informal sessions, formal brown-bag presentations, and written knowledge base articles

  • Secure and protect sensitive health and financial data based on HIPAA and SOC2 

  • Maintain uptime and reliability of critical services currently depended upon by hundreds of daily users

  • Work with teammates and cross teams to develop processes, automation and tools that keep us agile as our organization grows and demands change

  • Configure and scale services in response to bursts of load and changing requirements 

  • Provide timely responses to emails, phone calls, IMs, SMS messages, and other general communication from peers, end users, and management

  • Other relevant tasks and duties as assigned

Technical Qualifications:

  • Relevant Computer Science/IT bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience 

  • 8+ years of experience with complex IT Infrastructure, network and systems engineering

  • 2-4 years of experience with Google Workspace & Google Cloud Platform

  • Network+, CCNP, JNCIS, JNCIP or other related network certifications

  • Linux and MCP, MCSA, MCSE or other equivalent Microsoft certifications

  • VCP, VCAP, NCA, NCP or other related Virtualization technology certifications

Networking/VOIP

  • Demonstrated knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, including SD-WAN, TCP/IP, ACLs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SSL-VPN and IPSec VPN configurations

  • Experience installing, configuring, and managing network devices (routers, firewalls and switches - Cisco Enterprise, Cisco Meraki and SonicWALL equipment)

  • Highly proficient with Cisco routers and switching including: IOS, IOS-XR and NX-OS

  • Thorough knowledge of routing protocols (RIP, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)

  • Fundamental knowledge of  SIP Trunking and VoIP technologies/solutions (e.g. 8x8, Dialpad, RingCentral, Cisco)

  • Advanced experience troubleshooting networking and VoIP related issues, utilizing Wireshark and other troubleshooting tools

  • Familiarity with managing IP PBX systems, configuring auto attendants, call flows, call queues, ring groups, etc.

Servers/Systems

  • Experience with Windows Server 2012 / 2016 / 2019 and SQL Server 2012 / 2014 / 2016 / 2019 and Linux Operating Systems (CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu, etc)

  • Hands-on experience working with virtualization platforms - VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer, Nutanix, etc

  • Knowledge in configuring Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, Failover Clustering, File Services, Certificate Management, IIS, Remote Desktop Services

  • Experience with Microsoft RDS/VDI or other VDI solutions

  • Intermediate Linux/Windows scripting experience with Batch, PowerShell, Bash, Python, VBS, etc

  • Experience using various types of APIs and associated tools (Postman, Insomnia REST Client, etc)

  • Familiarity with email security methodology – TLS, S/Mime, PGP, Secure Web-based tools

  • Firm understanding of SMTP mail routing and other messaging protocols

  • DNS concepts as they pertain to email – DNS record types, MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC

  • Strong familiarity with Google Workspace Enterprise (fka G Suite Enterprise), and Proofpoint, Mimecast or other email security platforms

  • Familiarity with configuring and managing Identity Management solutions such as Google Cloud Identity, Azure AD, Okta, Cisco DUO, OneLogin, CyberArk, etc.

  • Experience with Nutanix a plus

  • Experience working with complex hybrid cloud environments is a plus

Your mission

  • Design and implement complex international private cloud IT infrastructures based on VMware vSphere technology and continuously improve the virtualization platform by introducing new functionality, raising security, increasing automation, and optimizing monitoring.
  • Design, maintain and improve the internationally distributed corporate backup and restore infrastructure based on Veeam Availability Suite.
  • Evaluate, configure, and deploy computing hardware platforms based on HPE technology, including storage subsystems.

  • Advise internal customers in matters of system architecture, implementation design, IT processes, TCO.

Qualifications

    Job Description

    The Core Infrastructure group - composed of the Compute, Observability, and Traffic teams - provide foundational infrastructure for Cash engineers to run their services on top of Cash’s cloud platform. Our platform and infrastructure enable services to scale and communicate securely, while enabling our users to effectively observe, debug, and monitor their applications. We’re a distributed team of infrastructure engineers spread across North America, and we work with other infrastructure engineers and product engineers who rely on the systems that we build.

    As a member of the Core Infrastructure group, you’ll collaborate with our stakeholders to:

    • Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure that provide critical support for fast moving and fast evolving business needs

    • Develop and own best practices for managing production infrastructure: automation, provisioning, scaling, connectivity, security, monitoring, testing, etc.

    • Use a data-driven approach to make the call on any new infrastructure that might need to be added, whether it’s off-the-shelf or built in-house

    • Architect distributed, real-time systems for high scalability and reliability

    Qualifications

    You have:

    • A passion for building, operating, and debugging distributed systems at scale

    Job Description

    The Core Infrastructure group - composed of the Compute, Observability, and Traffic teams - provide foundational infrastructure for Cash engineers to run their services on top of Cash’s cloud platform. Our platform and infrastructure enable services to scale and communicate securely, while enabling our users to effectively observe, debug, and monitor their applications. We’re a distributed team of infrastructure engineers spread across North America, and we work with other infrastructure engineers and product engineers who rely on the systems that we build.

    As a member of the Core Infrastructure group, you’ll collaborate with our stakeholders to:

    • Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure that provide critical support for fast moving and fast evolving business needs

    • Develop and own best practices for managing production infrastructure: automation, provisioning, scaling, connectivity, security, monitoring, testing, etc.

    • Use a data-driven approach to make the call on any new infrastructure that might need to be added, whether it’s off-the-shelf or built in-house

    Qualifications

    Job Description

    Guardant’s HPC team builds and operates the computational technology backbone of the company. 

    This includes scalable data storage that holds petabytes of genomics data, high performance compute clusters running a custom bioinformatics pipeline in production and R&D environments, and the software infrastructure that hosts an ecosystem of services for internal data processing and external data integration. To facilitate Guardant Health’s fast growth in the next few years, the HPC team is looking for a strong technical engineer who can help maintain and help grow the HPC infrastructure during its aggressive expansion, while working with corporate IT, SQA and DevOps/SRE teams. 

    While preferred to have someone local to the San Francisco Bay and on premises in Redwood City and Palo Alto, this role can be mostly worked remotely.  While on rotation, during maintenances and during cluster deployments, being present at the location of the work is required. 

     In this role, you will primarily:

    • Help manage the HPC interconnect
    • Help integrate the HPC systems with the bandwidth on-demand system
    • Work with the networking infrastructure team to manage and optimize the connectivity to and from the HPC systems and locales

    Qualifications

    Your Experience

    • 12+ years of experience managing a large IT infrastructure platform architecture and deployment
    • 5+ years PKI infrastructure experience with a strong understanding of PKI
    • Minimum 5 years of Linux hands-on experience in managing and supporting Linux server infrastructure in Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL
    • Experience and understanding of installation and management of OCSP and HSM solutions
    • Design and performance optimization for infrastructure and API in-depth knowledge of PKI elements
    • In-depth knowledge of Certificate Lifecycle Management
    • Must be able to collaborate between product management, engineering and IT teams on PKI roadmap
    • Experience in building Certificate Policy (CP) and Certificate Practice Statement (CPS)

    Your Career

    Palo Alto Networks is looking for a talented Site Reliability Engineer for Cloud Operations and Linux who will be responsible for maintainability, build and configuration of our Linux platform using Infrastructure as Code. As senior technical staff, you will support Tier-3 engineering for Linux build and configuration automation. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with highly innovative technologies.

    Your Impact

    • Implement and support the Linux infrastructure as code both on cloud and on-prem data centers

    • Provision, configure & support resilient hybrid cloud deployment architecture using the automation framework

    • Manage Linux infrastructure, CI/CD platform, work with other SREs in deploying and maintaining automation framework, capacity planning, create and review operational runbooks

    • Set up critical infrastructure, develop tools and framework to automate operational tasks, deployment of machines, services/apps

    • Manage scalability, capacity planning, redundancy, and resiliency

    • Maintain service availability and performance SLAs based on business and product requirements

    • Contribute to documentation related to design, deployment, validation and operations

    • Design proactive service monitoring, alerting and trend analysis of underlying infrastructure, and support the operations team in implementation

    • Initiate, lead scripting and automation to streamline system updates and upgrades

    Qualifications

    Your Experience

    • 8+ Years of system engineering experience on mission-critical, enterprise level systems

    • 8+ Years of Linux systems experience, ideally Ubuntu, SUSE and CentOS, Managing large scale complex applications 

    • Demonstrated Linux/Systems experience in hybrid (cloud, on-prem) environment

    • Must have a strong foundation in Linux operating systems, Troubleshooting, Design and Implementation

    • Experience with Ansible, Chef or similar configuration management tool to manage infrastructure as code

    • Experience working with cloud environments, primarily Google Cloud Platform

    • Experience using Infrastructure-As-Code to build large scale environments 

    • Experience with Linux vulnerability management process and patching

    • Must have programming knowledge in Python/Bash/Perl/Go languages to automate infrastructure workflow

    • Understanding of software development methodologies and practices, including agile development, continuous integration and continuous delivery

    • Understanding of Network Firewalls, load balancers, and complex network designs 

    • Experience in monitoring technologies like Datadog, Nagios, Graphite, Cacti, Grafana

    • Understanding Kubernetes, container lifecycle and troubleshooting

    • Hands-on knowledge of high-availability approaches such as load balancing, failover, clustering and disaster recovery
