Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of web applications.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, and/or Django

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)

  • Proficiency in server-side languages (e.g., Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, Node.js) and frameworks (e.g., Django)

  • Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs

  • Experience with AWS and Azure services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, and Azure Functions

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)

    Skills and Experience You'll Need:

    • Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with substantial expertise in JVM & AI tooling.

    Position Description

    Software engineers at EA enable our mission by building web applications to get data in the hands of educators at the right time for them to take action to improve student outcomes. We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a small team of engineers in the design and development of web applications and tools to support our mission. A typical project of ours is a full-stack web application built in TypeScript, React, Express, PostgreSQL, and AWS, and prior experience with any of these tools is helpful. Previous people management experience is preferred, but we also encourage candidates who do not yet have direct people management experience to apply, and we will consider other types of leadership experience as well.

    Job duties

    Management:

    • Supervise and support software engineers

    Qualifications

    • Significant experience building web applications and creating and working with APIs. We typically use TypeScript with a React front end and a NodeJS back end, so experience in those technologies is helpful, but not required.

    Compensation and Benefits

    The expected salary range for the Software Engineering Manager position is $100,000-$130,000, based on experience. EA also has a generous benefits package including:

      Compensation

      Sezzle is a remote U.S.-based company listed on NASDAQ. Our salary ranges are as follows:

      • $2,000 - $6,600 USD gross per month (Based on experience and performance during the process)

      About the Role: 

      We are seeking a talented and motivated  Finance Data Analyst  who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

      In collaboration with business team leaders, you'll contribute to the formulation of monitoring metrics and performance objectives. Your responsibilities will include writing SQL queries, generating charts, and developing dashboards. While your primary work will be with the Finance team, there may be instances where you support initiatives across various departments such as Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, Support, Legal, or People Operations.

      Key Responsibilities Include:

      • Work closely with finance team to understand their analytics and reporting needs 
      • Create sophisticated analyses and reporting to provide insights at scale 
      • Visualize and articulate analytics results to make it easy for stakeholders to interpret and take actions 
      • Help stakeholders identify new opportunities through data analysis 
      • Create, monitor, review, and analyze reports and dashboards, take initiative to fix issues that arise and conduct root cause analyses 

      Minimum Requirements: 

      • Degree in statistics, math, actuarial science, economics, data science, computer science or related quantitative discipline 
      • 2+ years of professional experience working with data, which can include: complex dataset creation, reporting, profiling, and machine learning 
      • Expert in using SQL to extract data and create actionable data sets 
      • Expert in using Python for data processing and analytics 
      • Ability to complete analyses with minimal guidance 
      • Experience with data visualization tools such as Redash, Tableau, Looker or Power BI 
      • Comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, able to pivot quickly to new priorities 
      • Attention to detail and ability to multitask 
      • Excellent problem-solving skills. 
      • Strong business judgment and communication skills 
      • Fluent in English 

      Preferred Knowledge and Skills: 

      • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline 
      • Experience optimizing operational and financial performance 
      • Experience in payments, financial services, banking, fintech, BNPL
