About the role:

The Senior Project Manager must have excellent time management skills to function in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating independent work skills and strong work ethic. Manages many medium to large projects with varying levels of complexity or several large projects of great complexity. Budget responsibilities are based on project requirements. In addition, this role will assist with supporting the Project Management Office goals and deliverables for the company.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Oversee and provide hands-on project management of multiple medium to large business unit and/or enterprise wide projects including all phases of project life cycle.
  • Establishes and monitors project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ensures quality and timeliness of project results. Ensures established budget is adhered to based-upon project requirements.
  • Consistently executes using the PH project management standards, processes and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Strategically and tactfully determine resolutions to issues as they arise without direction. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Manages risks and mitigations accordingly.
  • Lead, manage and facilitate concurrent project consideration requests, while remaining flexible with changing priorities, timeframes and scope of services required.
  • Create a collaborative consultative work environment, with matrix teams and workgroups across the company.
  • Lead and mentor project managers on Premise Health best practices and standards.
  • Interface professionally with all levels of management, the ability to work with multiple personality types to facilitate cooperation both within the company and with clients.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of detailed reports to keep key stake holders up to date on progress, issues and outcomes.
  • Maximize productivity through leadership skills and competencies.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills when interacting on behalf of the business unit.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 consecutive years project management experience leading medium to large healthcare related projects OR a High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of 7 consecutive years of project management experience leading medium to large projects including all phases of project life.
  • PMP Certification or willingness to obtain within one year of employment.
  • Six Sigma green belt or Six Sigma black belt, or willingness to become Six Sigma certified, preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience applying senior project management skills to the PH methodologies and practices, including developing project plans, charter, scope, project management approach and management plans, such as the statement of work, cost estimates, schedule, to a wide range of work activities, including health center or pharmacy implementations, operations, IT, software development, and process design.
  • A proven track record in consistent, outstanding project management skills and successful project completion using project management best practices.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams and indirectly managing teams across business units.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at various levels of the organization, such as peers, internal/external stakeholders, business partners, senior level managers. Experience resolving conflicts as issues arise.
  • Experience presenting and reporting on project plans to appropriate stakeholders, executives and senior management.
  • Experience utilizing project management software and other standard project management scheduling tools, such as MS Project and Planview, etc.
  • Experience mentoring project managers and driving new ideas on process improvement for a team.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of business practices as related to project specialty area, such as Health Center openings, Pharmacy Services, portfolio management, process improvement, Healthcare, IT, HR, ecommerce, software development (SDLC), etc. preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 and SharePoint 2013, strong knowledge of Microsoft InfoPath and intermediate knowledge of project management applications (e.g. Microsoft Project, Visio) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation development, meeting facilitation, agenda/minutes creation/documentation, and other communication development preferred.
  • Experience communicating directly with clients at the senior level preferred.
  • Portfolio Management experience preferred.
  • Project Demand Management experience preferred

Summary

Reporting to theHead of Project Management,theProject Manager is responsible formanaging large-scalePV and BESSconstruction projects in accordancetoproject contracts, designspecifications, and all legal requirementsAlsoresponsible for maintaining positive relationships withinternal and external stakeholders and service providers.

 

PrincipleResponsibilities/Key Results Areas

  • Effectively managesolar siteconstruction projectswith input from Development, Engineering,Legal,and Finance
  • Manage all phases of construction project management including but not limited to budget and schedule development and adherence, general contractor supervision,and coordination
  • Assist withentitlement processing anddue diligence coordinationas required
  • Ensure quality workmanship on every project perRecurrent Energy’splans/specifications
  • Establish positiverelationshipsandongoing communicationswith all relevantstakeholders
  • Perform all aspects of construction administration and documentation including negotiating contracts and change orders, purchase order management, invoice review andproject closeoutdocumentation
  • Maintainqualityproject records and documentation of costs
  • Provideregularproject updates tomanagement and cross-functionalteamsas requested
  • Attend project-related meetings and produce accurate minutes of same, andperform inspections of sitestoensure usability and compliance withlease and construction exhibits
  • Ensure the timely completion of all punch lists items and follow-up warranty work
  • Serve as the Recurrent Energyproject liaison with allinternaldepartments and outside contractors,equipment suppliers,consultants, landlords,governing authorities, etc.; coordinate towards common goals while making critical decisions in a professional manner
  • Adhere to all Recurrent Energyconstruction and operational standardsand objectives
  • Ensure that all construction projects are built to meet all applicable federaland local codes and regulations
  • Provide mentoring tojuniorproject management staff
  • Promote safety at all construction sites

 

Financial & Organizational Scope

 

Reporting Relationships & Interactions

  • Responsible for project budgetsofapproximately$150MM per project
  • Required to manage 2-3projects concurrently

 

  • Reports toHead of Project Management
  • Interfaces externally withgeneral contractors,subcontractors, engineers,equipment suppliers, consultants,andgoverning authorities

 

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to effectively coordinate and handle, under pressure, multiple projects with a high degree of independence and professional judgment tomeet or beat project deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret all design, development,and construction documents, specifications, and bids, and recommendnecessary changes or additions
  • Advanced proficiencyinSmartsheet, MS Project, MSExcel, and other database applications

Abilities

  • Detail-orientedwith excellent project management skills and ability to motivate people
  • Passion for organization, timely execution of tasks, and containing expenses
  • Exceptionalinterpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to tactfully handlechallenging situations

 

Experience & Education

  • TechnicalDegreerequiredEngineering, Construction Management, or construction/design-related fieldspreferred
  • Minimum7years experiencein project management,preferablywithutilityscalesolar and BESSconstruction projects
  • Must have experience working with clients in a rapidly evolving environment and developing creative solutions to meet conflicting needs

WHAT WE SEEK

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an associate technical project manager who will be responsible for supporting the project management team in the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the project manager in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, and communication among team members.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and track project risks.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document project progress, and report on project status to stakeholders.
  • Participate in testing software applications to identify bugs and defects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance analysts, to ensure project success.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Support project budget tracking and management.


EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of project management experience, preferably in a technical environment.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software, such as Jira or Asana.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of technical concepts and software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with project budget tracking and management.


A PLUS IF YOU HAVE

  • Start-up experience (we love entrepreneurs).
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations.
