The Job

Koombea is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join out Team. Your main goal is to plan and implemente the QA Automation Strategy for keeping future releases stable through automation testing. You'll also be responsable for finding and reporting bugs before deploying to production, as well as ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested, and can be potentially integrated with CI/CD.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with QA Director and QA Managers to create the QA Automation Strategy, estimate tasks, and size project releases.
  • Oversight for all automation test planning, documentation, execution, and reporting. 
  • Write automation scripts for regression tests, and upcoming features.
  • Generate QA Automation reports that clearly communicate QA results, concerns and project status.
  • Influence project team to follow the defined procedures within the quality system.
  • Create automation scripts for Backend, Frontend, and mobile applications.
  • Integrate QA Automation pipeline with other systems to run in CI platform.
  • Help to create automated procedures to organize bug reporting, and CI/CD status.

  • Utilize your experience in developing, writing, and executing detailed, well-structured, comprehensive test scenarios for PrismHR products.  This includes anticipating how “real world” users interact with our software from different user role standpoints

  • Collaborate with the QA team to create realistic testing data and scenarios with occasional training and mentoring of peers on payroll subject matter and newly developed features 

  • Use your expertise to evaluate and detail the risk associated with development work, keeping the impact to end users in mind

  • Collaborate with your team and across Product Delivery on process improvements 

  • Assist the team in troubleshooting bugs/issues that arise

  • Track and summarize testing progress

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least one to two years of experience working in Quality Assurance software testing.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps and Selenium testing frameworks are a plus.

  • Ability to efficiently organize and structure testing strategies for the rollout of new features

  • Possesses a strong desire to learn software development best practices (Agile)

  • Significant experience testing multi-tiered, web-based and/or mobile software products. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance best practices and methodologies, including testing for performance, security, scalability, and reliability
  • Solid test planning skills, providing well documented test strategies, procedures and results. Excellent troubleshooting ability. 
  • Experience utilizing functional and automation testing tools. Selenium experience is a strong plus, but flexibility with automation toolsets is critical. 
  • Experience testing database applications. Comfortable building and performing database queries.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who has a natural and incredible eye to detail, is passionate about being a customer advocate to ensure quality products, and is a great team player. This full-time position involves participation in the quality assurance process of multiple SaaS-based analytical applications in HTML5 frameworks with SOA-based data architecture using an Agile Scrum process.

Responsibilities

  • Work within an Agile Scrum team meeting with developers and product managers determining the quality assurance parameters, acceptance criteria, and verifying quality ahead of CI/CD deployments
  • Work with automation frameworks (Selenium and Postman) to ensure tests are incorporated into reusable automated tests - and coverage across API and Integration level as well as some UI level
  • Implement test procedures and process
  • Ensuring the successful deployment (aiming for Continuous Deployment within Sprints) of products
  • Responding to requests from Product Managers and Developers
  • Troubleshoot quality issues and modify test procedures 

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in API automation – Postman experience preferred
  • Hands-on in UI automation using open source libraries like Webdrive IO, Selenium etc.
  • Experience working with Python and/or JavaScript (good to have knowledge of Robot Testing Framework)
  • Experience working with agile methodologies, and have a TDD and BDD approach to Software development
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is desired – Kanban/Scum
  • Financial Experience Preferred (Retail Banking a big plus)
  • 5 years experience as a QA Engineer
  • Strong Detail Oriented

  • Mentor for junior stagg
  • Worked in past Scrum settings with Agile Project management experience
