About the role:

Fivetran is looking for an ambitious, accomplished, and independent Senior Staff Software Engineer who will make a big impact at a fast-growing company. You will play a vital role in building and improving our software architecture foundation, guiding our teams to build the infrastructure to deliver the reliable operation of our data pipeline service and work with them hands-on building challenging new features. We're looking for people who can understand the key values that make our product great and implement those values in the many small decisions you make every day as one of our most senior engineers. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Be the architect for the database connector group
  • Take ownership and spearhead changes to turn our database connectors into the fastest in the industry by focusing on performance and optimization
  • Drive engineering excellence through architecture design and reviews for our data pipeline service projects and features
  • Lead engineering-wide initiatives for a number of key technologies
  • Work with the Office of the CTO as an active member of our architecture guild
  • Collaborate with other principal engineers across our 3 main development locations
  • Participate hands on as an active engineering team member in our day to day work to deliver robust and scalable features
  • Improve and enhance engineering systems documentation and development processes
  • Coach and mentor our most senior engineers
  • Contribute to hiring by participating in the interview process

Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate has some prior management experience with strong experience as an architect or senior staff engineer and is capable of driving changes through a collaborative but determined leadership style
  • Strong first-hand experience with data pipelines and relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server or MySQL
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Software Engineering or Computer Science and from a reputed institution with 10+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated expert ability to drive and lead large-scale architectural projects in a highly effective manner with a clear goal of delivery in mind
  • Enjoys intensive collaboration with technical (engineers, leads) and non-technical (product managers, analysts) members in the organization to build complex system-level features
  • Demonstrated temperament and interpersonal skills to work effectively at multiple levels ranging from in the trenches with engineers to working with the CTO
  • Extensive back-end development experience, preferably for an external-facing product
  • Writes well-structured and performant code; hands-on in designing, building, maintaining, testing and deploying code
  • Experienced with the formulation of ideas; building proof-of-concept (POC) and converting them to production-ready projects
  • Expert Java programming, application architecture and database expertise
  • Experienced with end-to-end systems profiling, performance, and optimization
  • Experienced working in a cloud environment architecture utilizing AWS, GCP, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, or similar technologies

Key Duties: 



  • Work on cloud architecture for internal services and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) platform.
  • You’re going to partner and provide direction to multiple agile teams of experienced software engineers, helping enable the teams to move forward with full DevSecOps capabilities.

*Drive Strategy

Work with a broad internal team as the deep technical expert to create a 1-3 year Cloud Protection strategy that maps out business objectives, technical requirements, and customer trends, with recommendations on whether to build, buy or partner in new areas.

*Change Mindsets

Help our customers decide upon cloud security strategies, evangelizing and recommending Zscaler and partner products as appropriate. The cloud architect will act as a trusted technical and business advisor to our clients while aiding the customer's transformational journey.    

*Build Capabilities

Lead training and enablement initiatives with the Zscaler Cloud Protection specialist teams, ensuring that we have the right capabilities and the right people in front of our customers to ensure that we can dominate the cloud protection space. Work with a cross functional team on training content, demo environments, customer workshop strategies, and proof of value strategies.

*Industry Expert

Present on stage at industry events & conferences. Educate internal teams on industry trends (DevOps, microsegmentation, containers & kubernetes, etc.)  Act as an interface to the Product Management teams for prioritization, planning, and architecture.

Qualifications

  • Develop strategic roadmap for Zscaler cloud protection portfolio, acting as the technical expert to help deeply understand customer needs, and evaluating internal development, partnership, and acquisition opportunities to help meet those needs.

  • Demonstrate strong understanding of cloud and cloud security architectures and engage in technical discussions with cloud architects of large enterprises.

  • Present both industry and Zscaler cloud protection architecture as it relates to customers’ and prospects’ environment and technical requirements.

  • Ensure that the Zscaler cloud protection specialist, customer success, and field sales teams are fully supported and have the necessary resources to be successful.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Direct, hands-on experience designing and implementing security solutions on one or more of the major cloud platforms.

  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture and cloud security challenges and solutions, as well as operating systems, networking, authentication, and programming and scripting languages.

  • One or more of the following certifications, or equivalent expertise and experience: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer.

As a Software Architect, you will provide strategic architecture leadership to large engineering teams and product managers on large and complex projects Prisma Cloud Visibility Governance and Control services. You understand the business imperatives tied to these strategic projects. You provide technology leadership, drive the architecture and high level design,  are the technical expert on strategic projects, drive the release strategy and guide the delivery of projects aligned to the business strategy. Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 15 years of work experience with a Masters  degree (in computer science) or a minimum of 10 years of work experience with a PhD (in computer science)

  • Prior experience as a principal architect influencing/leading a large scale cloud security product engineering team of at least 30 engineers

  • Proven track record of successful architecture and design for high transaction (>250k/second) and data volume (>1pb/day) enterprise and/or consumer facing applications

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud technologies - AWS plus at least one other cloud provider (Azure, GCP or OCI)

  • 15+ years of experience with large scale cloud applications experience built with one or more these languages: Java, Scala, GoLang, Python

  • Expert in database technologies (e.g., MemSQL, SQL, Cassandra, etc.), queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, Pulsar, Akka streams, etc.) -The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in these technologies

  • 3-4 yrs experience in Apache Spark, data analytics frameworks

  • Good understanding of security, cloud security domain -Principal/Chief Architect experience with an enterprise security product (on-prem or cloud)

We are looking for a hardworking and passionate Senior Customer Success Engineer/Cloud Architect who is customer obsessed and wants to help our customers during their cloud transformation journey. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to our customers to help ensure efficient Palo Alto Networks’ public cloud security adoption, and to accelerate business value and ROI. Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Relevant work experience in pre- or post-sales, support, customer success, consulting or similar roles
  • Required experience with supporting endpoint software products
  • Experience prefered with supporting Cloud native security products
  • Experience with scripting including Python, JSON, YAML, and Bash
  • Experience with containers, orchestrators like Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Cloud Providers (GCP, AWS, Azure), CI/CD, Container Registries, Serverless

Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Group in the CTO Organization, the Enterprise Architect will help in defining the next generation technology platform and product platform architectures. The role will go across many domain areas including digital, supply chain, HR/Financials and Data Warehousing. The role is the critical change agent required to drive the architectural strategy to execution, enabling IT to react faster to future business requests and reduce overall costs for IT projects. The role will be a key contributor to technology roadmaps, blueprints and technology product governance affecting key business metrics including new revenue, NPS etc. Will regularly participate in program leadership meetings, and occasionally in program steering committee meetings with Director/Sr. Director/VP/C-Suite level stakeholders to lead discussions and resolve critical issues. Clear, effective and concise communication skills are crucial for the overall success of the role.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Design and oversight of project architecture to ensure appropriate solution and on time delivery.
  • Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated solutions
  • Participate in strategic planning and blueprinting exercises by providing current state knowledge as well as insights into the future direction.
  • Assesses the current state and projects prioritizations to constantly optimize the roadmaps. Make key decisions affecting large strategic projects with limited information. Must be adept in dealing with systems in all CPG business domains.
  • Create and conduct executive strategy sessions for customers to assist the customer to identify high Return on Investment process improvements and the technical solutions to enable these process improvements.
  • Develops solution designs and leads implementation efforts from an architecture perspective for all Technology Platform projects.
  • End to End oversight of projects to ensure appropriate solution and on time delivery.
  • Oversee the technology architecture of Mattel’s technology landscape across multiple platforms.
  • Design and apply best-of-breed, enterprise system, application and ESB solutions to meet business objectives on large-scale technology projects; evaluating impacts on integration, reliability, performance, scalability, flexibility and maintainability.
  • Ability to strike a balance between practical designs and alignment with the architectural vision.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple development teams to define, select and architect products and services that require significant cross component coordination.
  • Provides input into high-level design choices and informs technical standards, tools, and platforms and must have an understanding of systems engineering principles derived from experience
  • Collaborate with critical stakeholders to understand business needs, priority, and the quality of services to be created or enhanced.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For: 

7+ years of related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred

Experience developing business process frameworks (Process Decomposition, Process Flows) based on an eTOM model; including an enterprise framework (structure, classification) to manage linkage of business processes and enable re-use.

Hands-on experience in enterprise data modeling and object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) resulting in reusable artifacts; including Use Case driven analysis & design and UML diagrams depicting process flows

Strong background and demonstrated implementation of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Metadata and BPM/BPR concepts & tools

Demonstrated excellence in designing and implementing multi-tiered enterprise applications, High Throughput Web Services, EAI, microservices.

Strong and demonstrable expertise in UML and BPMN standards and use of various UML artifacts in documenting design choices.

Industry experience in Consumer Product Goods industry is a plus.

Strong and demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following domains: Product Development, Demand and Supply Planning, Manufacturing and Logistics in both B2B and D2C business models.

Experience in Anaplan, JDA/BlueYonder, PLM(Windchill, Agile a plus.

Mandiant Security Transformation Services helps organizations build an effective security operations program that minimizes organizational risk and reduces the impact of security breaches. With targeted focus in cloud architecture, our consultants work from initial assessment, on-site workshops to explore clients cloud environment, configuration review of security controls, to detailed practical technical recommendations to harden the cloud environment, enhance visibility and detection, and improve processes to reduce the risk of compromise. 

As a Cloud Security Architect, you are responsible for developing and overseeing a cloud computing strategy for our customers, as well as responding to cloud-related breaches. This includes cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring. You will need to apply your cloud security skills, cloud network architecture, security hardening, and logging enforcement skills to assist clients with containment and remediation workstreams. The cloud architect will provide customers with industry best practice and insight regarding cloud application architecture and deployment in cloud environments. The successful candidate will possess strong consulting skills, be adept in leading multiple projects under tight deadlines, and possess in-depth experience in security event monitoring, cyber threat intelligence, and/or computer incident response. 

What You Will Do

  • Perform technical security configuration assessments of a client’s cloud platforms - such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). 
  • Perform technical security configuration reviews for common cloud-based SaaS platforms, including Microsoft 365 (M365). 
  • Guide clients in the creation of optimized cloud solutions that deliver enterprise-grade security, compliance, and responsiveness to the latest cloud-based threats and attacks.  
  • Architect cloud services and mitigate risks

  • Experience advising customers on cloud architecture and design concepts based on compliance and regulatory standards (e.g., PII, PCI-DSS, PHI, GDPR, HIPAA). 
  • Good understanding of a programming or scripting language and API interactions with cloud platforms
  • Must understand governance and convey governance principles to cloud computing in terms of policies 
  • Experience with Incident Response within cloud environments and applications

  • Must be eligible work in EU member states, or Swiss or UK  without sponsorship
