The Role

The Director of Field, Partner, and Digital Marketing will be a key member of the Marketing organization. The Role

Cool Things You’ll Do

The Role

As the Director of Sales at Pantheon, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the strategic vision of our Account Executives, driving the success of our technology sales team in the competitive SaaS market. Your extensive experience in enterprise software sales and SaaS solutions will empower you to not only meet but exceed sales targets through strategic planning, effective leadership, and dynamic execution.

What you need to succeed 

  • Create, implement, and maintain the strategic plan to achieve sales targets
  • Coordinate sales forecasting and planning
  • Lead a team of Mid-Market reps 
  • Responsible for multi-million dollar annual team target
  • Create the regional strategy and execution plan per rep for growing business in the region
  • Oversee hiring, training, mentoring, and development of direct reports
  • Provide customer feedback to internal teams (product, engineering, marketing) to develop and deliver innovative solutions for our customers
  • Be accountable for quota aligned with a growing new book of business and track against quota by forecasting at a regular cadence

What you Bring to the Table

  • 10 + years of over-quota achievement selling enterprise software / SaaS solutions
  • 5 + years of sales management experience 
  • Proven track record selling to enterprise level clients and closing sales in large complex organizations
  • Collaborative and influential with excellent communication skills
  • Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated, directed and driven by opportunity and customer expectations
  • Success in leading business transformation initiatives
  • Existing knowledge and established relationships in SaaS sales
  • Experience leading a metrics-driven sales organization

Bonus points for

  • Familiarity with Drupal and Wordpress
  • Previous experience working at a SaaS, tech startup, or a similar company

The Role

As the Director of Sales for Pantheon's state and local government market, you will be a player/coach, actively participating in sales while leading and shaping the sales strategy. Your responsibilities extend beyond individual quota carrying to team leadership, making this a pivotal role in establishing Pantheon as the preferred WebOps platform for government agencies.

What you need to Succeed 

  • Actively engage in sales activities while simultaneously providing leadership to the sales team.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating effective sales techniques and strategies in the state and local government sector.
  • Proven leadership experience in B2B sales, with a focus on the state and local government sector.
  • Track record of successfully achieving and surpassing sales targets and revenue goals.
  • In-depth understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and decision-making dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex sales cycles and tailor solutions to meet client needs.
  • Ability to stay abreast of market trends, competitor strategies, and technological advancements.
  • Strategic thinking to adapt sales strategies based on market shifts and opportunities.

What you Bring to the Table

  • 8+ years of over-quota achievement selling enterprise software / SaaS solutions
  • 3+ years of sales management experience with a proven track record in leading successful B2B sales teams in the state and local government market.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to make data-informed decisions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach to forming partnerships and alliances that contribute to the overall success of Pantheon in the government sector.
