    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 3-4 years proven experience as a SEO Specialist/Manager or Digital Marketing Specialist with strong SEO experience

    I. MSF INTERNATIONAL

    Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural disasters. MSF offers assistance to people based only on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.

    MSF International is the legal entity that binds MSF’s 23 sections, 25 associations and other offices together. Registered in Switzerland, MSF International provides coordination, information and support to the MSF Movement, as well as implements international projects and initiatives as requested.

    The MSF Access Campaign is part of MSF International.

    Médecins Sans Frontières set up the MSF Access Campaign in 1999 to address systemic challenges and improve access to existing medical tools (medicines, diagnostics and vaccines) and to stimulate the development of urgently needed better tools for people in countries where MSF works and beyond. The priorities of the Access Campaign are guided by the medical challenges faced by MSF and its patients in its operational settings. The primary objectives of the Access Campaign include identifying, analysing and advocating for changes around the legal and regulatory systems and practices that hinder access to medical tools and innovation suitable for people in need especially in resource limited settings.


    II. POSITION BACKGROUND

    Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) produces medical guides for non-specialized staff in the field. The objective of the guides is to disseminate adapted medical knowledge to help in analysing and understanding the situation and implementing a quality response rapidly. Based on its experience gathered in it projects, and in the absence of relevant documents from other agencies, MSF has been producing practical medical guides for more than 25 years. The International Guidelines Publication (IGP) unit has been established to ensure the quality production of MSF guidelines.

    International guides include 2 categories:

    • Public guides: for use within and outside MSF. MSF’s public guides are used by other non-governmental organisations and international agencies, thereby contributing to enhancing MSF's profile.
    • Internal guides: for use by MSF staff only.

    There are currently over 20 international guides, some of them are produced in several languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic).


    III. PLACE IN THE ORGANISATION

    The Digital platform officer is part of the International Guidelines Production team of MSF International. S/he is under the direct supervision of and reports to the IGP Manager. Collaboration with the IGP team members and the IGP stakeholders is essential.    


    IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

    The Digital platforms officer effectively manages the medical guidelines website: medicalguidelines.msf.org, the CMS (Drupal) of the website that is used for content creating, editing and publication, the mobile app (for Android and iOS) and Sharepoint page of the guidelines team. S/he is the first point of contact for the IT service provider and leading the next phase of development of the website, CMS and application based on clearly defined requirements already set. S/he also provides support to the IGP team in the management and administration of the IGP internal communication tools and documentation sites (SharePoint).     


    V. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. High level availability of the IGP digital platforms  

    • Ensure an appropriate level of hosting and support to maintain a high level of availability for the IGP digital platforms;  
    • Debug issues that arise with the performance of the website and mobile app;
    • Quickly liaise with relevant stakeholders to resolve any issues that cause downtime for the IGP digital platforms;  
    • Ensure an agreed service level offering for management of critical incidents;     
    • Ensure visibility and accessibility of the platform from another MSF knowledge management systems;
    • Provide information for the related budget definition, follow up and management to IGP manager
    • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new suppliers and freelancers if/when required.   

    2. Project lead for the next phase of the guideline and app development

    • Lead the next phase of the medical guidelines website and app development following the project plan defined;
    • First point of contact for the IT service provider project manager and developers;
    • Coordinate between the IGP team and IT service provider;
    • Building and maintaining an effective collaboration with the IT service provider;
    • Ensure the realisation of project goals with respect to the planned scope, timeline, quality and budget;
    • Proactively resolve any problems or conflicts between stakeholders with timely reporting and escalation to the IGP manager;
    • Report to the IGP manager on progress (budget and activities).

    3. Support and training to users   

    • Facilitate feedback from the IGP team on the digital platforms;  
    • Setup new user accounts;  
    • Provide 2nd line support and training when required;  
    • Deliver support and training materials;  
    • Actively respond to technical questions from users.   

    4. Analyses and reports traffic and usage IGP digital platforms 

    • Ensure appropriate tracking is in place for all IGP digital assets;  
    • Create reports on website and mobile app usage and present when required;  
    • Provide an analysis of reports extracted.  

    5. Be a proactive member of the IGP team  

    • Proactive participation in monthly meetings and provide regular information on the progress of activities; 
    • Contribute to the annual IGP plan of action and multi-year plans; 
    • Participate in the budget forecast, midterm reviews and reporting; 
    • Participates to the transversal projects of the International Guidelines;

    The Technical Business Analyst is a detail-driven contributor on 829’s Website Production Team and reports to the Director of Website Production. The Technical Business Analyst must familiarize themself with scope, objectives and architecture of each website build project to gain a cohesive, detailed and accurate understanding of the client’s goal and will help the internal team by providing user interface best practices, specifically documented development guides, and quality analysis. This person owns/organizes all project-related documentation and is responsible for answering project scope and functionality related questions; as well as  providing oversight to the successful completion of the web build project.

    Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Documentation
      • Follow a repeatable methodology to successfully develop applications on time and on budget using the latest web technologies and build applications according to best practice standards.
      • Work alongside team leads to develop necessary Technical Architecture and make key technology decisions to make individual projects successful. This includes being  involved in the UX and information architecture process. Technical Business Analysts verify the sitemap structure and URLs prior to client presentations. This person would also review 3rd party integrations and how they may inform IA. 
      • Stay apprised of the latest technologies and innovations in web application technologies.
      • Actively participate in the project planning process and bring that background knowledge back to the development team. This includes crafting a development guide/document. This person needs to actively think about how to approach design from a technical production perspective and will provide insight on how/where improvements can be made. 
      • Enhance development standards and introduce new technologies to maximize efficiency and turnaround within the Production department.

    • Communication/Collaboration

      At a time where LGBTQ+ youth are both vulnerable to the current political climate - while highly visible and more resilient than ever before - the Digital Engagement Manager is responsible for helping achieve GLSEN’s mission of LGBTQ-inclusive K-12 schools by leveraging all digital channels – social, web, email, SMS, advertising, and blog – to advance GLSEN’s programs, services, and offerings.

      Through the development of digital strategies and campaigns, the Digital Engagement Manager works to increase GLSEN’s reach with target audiences, create engagement paths, and drive meaningful action. The Digital Engagement Manager of Media Relations and Public Voice will work across all digital mediums to ensure that GLSEN’s brand and messaging are at the forefront of both the national and local conversations on LGBTQ youth and K-12 education.       Duties and Responsibilities

      • Develop and manage digital campaigns marketing GLSEN’s programs, services, and offerings through the use of social, landing pages, email, SMS, digital advertising, and blog
      • Work with staff, Chapter volunteer network, student leaders, and partner organizations to develop campaigns and content to achieve organizational goals
      • Create campaign plans and reports, including tracking and analyzing key performance indicators related to digital channels
      • Oversee GLSEN’s social media channels
      • Work with Chapters to ensure messaging consistency
      • Support Chapters in their Digital Engagement work
      • Advise and support in development and maintenance of website and CRM
      • Provide technical training and content development support for staff and volunteers to better leverage digital channels in their work

      Qualifications and Required Skills

      • 3-5 years experience managing integrated digital campaigns

        • You will serve as a Contentful subject matter expert and technical resource for the Learning Services team, helping the team design new learning experiences, document best practices, and create helpful tools, job-aids, code samples, and other resources for Contentful users.
        • You will establish a relationship of trust with Contentful’s product management and development teams that will enable you to communicate customer needs, use cases, challenges, and feedback in a way that drives improvement of the Contentful product.
        What you need to be successful
        • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field.
        • You have 5+ years of experience working in a technical role such as software developer, sales engineer, or professional services.
        • You have 2+ years of experience in a technical training role.
        • You have experience with Contentful or other content management systems (e.g., Adobe AEM, Sitecore, Drupal, Contentstack, etc.). 
        • You are familiar with JavaScript and at least one other popular programming language such as Ruby, Python, or Java.
        • You have exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, and TravisCI; static site generators such as Gatsby, Middleman, Jekyll, and Metalsmith; and front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, and Vue.
        • You have both presentation and facilitation skills. You can present material in an engaging way, read a room, and think on your feet. But you also can guide learners through a discovery process without being the “sage on the stage.” 
        • You have excellent educational instincts and have created instructor-led courses and other learning materials.
        • You have experience delivering in both face-to-face and virtual instruction/webinar formats.
        • You are available to travel up to 40% (eventually, when circumstances permit).

        Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

        Colorado Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000
