Job Description

The Supplier Support Agent will support the Supplier Support team in obtaining declarations and other important information from non-responsive suppliers in our client’s supply chains.

  • Communicate with suppliers through a multi channel approach including emails, phone calls and conference calls to gather compliance information, assist with compliance requests, and confirm quality of the documents provided;
  • Work directly with Assent’s Enterprise and Mid-Market suppliers to be a valuable resource to help them respond to their compliance requests;
  • Handle inbound calls from suppliers to help them troubleshoot, navigate their compliance requests by providing a positive experience;
  • Engage with unresponsive suppliers through outbound calls, supplier education and webinar invites;
  • Validate and ensure Quality Assurance for compliance data provided by our suppliers;

Qualifications

  • Great verbal and written communication skills, primarily in English, however proficiency in Mandarin is required for this role;

Job Description

The Sales Engineer will execute on all aspects of sales demonstrations - whether that be onsite or at conferences (subject to local restrictions and guidelines), or virtually to articulate the Assent value proposition in the most compelling way. In this role, you will draw upon your experience with SaaS products, combined with Assent’s excellent product training, to expertly answer queries regarding the functionality of our industry-leading SaaS product.

  • Create and perform powerful customer and prospect demonstrations (both virtual and in-person) and materials needed to facilitate Sales

  • In collaboration with Account Executives, guide customers through their product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs;

  • Identifying any custom technical requirements and coordinating as necessary with the Assent Product team;

  • Supporting Account Executives with the technical sections of RFP/RFI and vendor assessments for new and existing clients;

  • Support Marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events on behalf of Sales

  • Working closely with prospects throughout the sales cycle in both supporting platform evaluations and executing Proof of Concepts (POCs) to establish technical credibility and advocacy. 

  • Assisting with the development of the Statement of Work (SOW) as required by the sales opportunit

  • Participating in the elaboration and review specification documents for new integration and new features, as well as integration associated with such third party systems as ERPs / PLMs and other relevant data source

Qualifications

  • 3+ years proven experience in demonstrating technical product features to a range of audiences - it would be an asset if you have experience engaging with Enterprise clients;

  • Ability to adapt communications and messaging to influence product sales to a variety of target audiences;

  • Strong ability to translate customer needs into technical/system requirements for Product Teams;

  • Ability to create impactful presentations, materials and present data in a meaningful way, to guide conversations with current and potential customers that drive to purchasing decisions;

  • Technical background in software, and preferably experience in a SaaS environment. Your experience offers a strong understanding of technical components around integrations, connectors and APIs;

  • Knowledge and previous use of standards and frameworks that relate to the carbon footprinting of products and EPDs such as ISO 14025, ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14067, ISO 21930, EN 15804 and EN 50693;

  • Relevant post-secondary degree in Sustainability, Environmental Law, Design for Environment, Engineering, or similar field;

  • Prior background as a consultant or in an advisory capacity that has been responsible for revenue generation is considered beneficial;

  • Proven track record in a public speaking capacity with the ability to drive and manage conversations that support sales opportunities and activities;
