VetsEZ is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our remote team. The candidate will be responsible for delivering critical cross-functional and organizational initiatives to drive and coordinate an extensive Community Care Product Line that meets and exceeds all requirements from the VA stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a sophisticated enterprise environment and enjoys the challenge of developing technical solutions to complex business needs.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and configure on an Agile Prototyping team with focus on Healthcare Claims Processing.
  • Utilize healthcare interoperability standards (HL7v2, FHIR, CCDA, IHE, X12) appropriately in solution design.
  • Understand and translate business and technical requirements, particularly those that are unique to healthcare, into architectures and solution designs.
  • Lead development teams in building solutions as an architect and automating processes.
  • Develop and implement APIs and Web Services (REST & SOAP) and design API-based solutions using Mulesoft.
  • Utilize CI/CD technologies and processes including but not limited to Git, Jenkins and Docker.
  • Use AWS-based cloud architectures, VM and Containers, and deployment strategies to architect solutions.
  • Utilize Enterprise Integration Patterns in solution designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or technical related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 plus years of experience required.
  • 1 plus years of experience with MuleSoft and AWS development required.
  • Experience in design and development of IT architecture.
  • Experience in creating diagrams and documentation with all components that compromise systems including network topology.
  • Experience with Low Code/No Code Platforms such as Mulesoft, Salesforce, and Pega. Mulesoft experience is also required.
  • Experience with DevOps Tooling (Terraform/Ansible/AWS).

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Health IT environment.
  • Experience in the VA, specifically with VA VistA and FileMan is a plus.
  • Background in healthcare preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a government clearance.

  • Maintain current product knowledge and learn new products, new features, or new plugins as required.

Job Criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualification such as a B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience.
  • At least 2+ years experience in a client facing role
  • At least 1+ years experience providing sales support
  • Extensive knowledge of Learning Management Systems (in particular Moodle)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Passionate about customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
  • A general understanding of computer networks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
  • Exceptional listening, written and oral communication.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

What the role offers

  • Understand the KPIs and goals of the customer i.e. why do they want to go with a field service solution?
  • Identify the key business capabilities, map this to our product capabilities and identify solutions on how we can address these gaps
  • Reduce time to market to structure the solution delivery that identifies creative ways to deliver core product capabilities first
  • Gather, write and review Technical Requirement Documents and come up with well-thought of technical project specifications, environment needs, and expectations based on architectural best practices.
  • Collaborate with presales consultants to provide guidance regarding requirements feasibility and alignment of the same to the features provided by the platform. The Solution Architect will explore ways to maximize the use of Out of the Box functionality to resolve the customer’s needs in a very consultative fashion and identify product enhancements where needed, as well as support the sales teams in responding to technical questions during the sales processes such as RFP’s.
  • Make recommendations and often translate initial requirements into high level specifications to produce demos contextualized to the customer’s expectations, or produce the demos directly.
  • Facilitate the effort estimation, ensuring all the main elements of the solution are taken into consideration for cost and implementation timeline determination.
  • Own the Solution Scope in Statement Of Work document (SOW)’s and support the sales and executive teams during the negotiation of the corresponding contracts.
  • Define and maintain technical implementation documentation (Low Level Design) with performance optimization and scalability in mind, as well as produce process workflow diagrams, user stories and technical mockups.
  • Demo solutions to clients during Status Meetings.
  • Coordinate with Delivery Managers and Solution Developers to maintain project schedule, and mitigate any delays by accurately providing time and effort estimates.
  • Determine technical constraints or limitations of the proposed solution that is presented to the customer.
  • Update requirements based on change requests or UAT feedback.
  • Develop strong working relationships with other teams within the organization and foster cross team collaboration, share feedback with other teams to improve how work gets done.


What you’ll bring

  • 6-10 years of SaaS experience in a professional services / client-facing capacity.
  • Past experience working in a fast growing startup (servicing enterprise or mid size businesses) with an evolving product roadmap is a plus
  • Past experience in finding creative solutions to manage product gaps
  • Experience defining API specifications, technical workflows and high level solution architectures.
  • Knowledge of data models, relational databases, use cases and strong UML or BPMN skills.
  • Background in developing solutions in JavaScript and a good understanding of JSON, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
