Required Skills:

    Role Overview

    The Storefront Team at Recharge is responsible for storefront widgets and backend services. These inject Recharge features; Subscriptions, Bundles, and Loyalty benefits into our merchant’s checkout experience. They handle 2.5M+ sessions per day and are some of our highest scale components in our platform. Checkout performance is critical to driving merchant revenue. As a result our widgets require high performance and stability.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage a team (2) of Cloud Operations specialists in US
    • Will be tasked with serving as the primary point of technical escalation contact

    The Department: Platform

    Our Platform organization’s purpose is to enable Gemini to scale effectively and empower our engineering teams to focus on building innovative financial products and experiences for individuals around the world. Within Platform, the Site Reliability Engineering team is responsible for partnering with Gemini’s other engineering teams to ensure all our systems are architected, engineered and deployed to be resilient, reliable and performant. 

    The Embedded SRE team is a part of Site Reliability Engineering with a focus on engaging directly with our other engineering teams to onboard them onto our platform systems, reviewing and recommending design and architectural decisions, and guiding our engineering teams on how to implement the tooling provided by the larger Platform organization required to ensure systems can scale and react to changing conditions, with continuous improvement loops.

    The Role: Staff Site Reliability Engineer

    You will be an integral part of leading Gemini’s engineering teams towards modern DevOps practices, both by developing and providing modern automation and operational tooling, and working cross functionally across Gemini’s engineering teams to influence and shape our development practices and culture.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide primary operational support and engineering for various Gemini services 
    • Improve reliability, quality and time-to-market across all Gemini services and offerings 
    • Guide engineering teams onto the various supported services provided by Platform 
    • Run on-going performance evaluations and improvements for Gemini systems 
    • Provide architecture recommendations and engagement as part of SDLC 
    • Create “Production-ready Scorecards” to evaluate the health of systems pre-launch

    Salary Range: The base salary range for this role is between $172,000 - $215,000 in the State of New York, the State of California and the State of Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for building scalable solutions in the Azure Platforms for our Data & Analytics Platform. You may be expected to lead a team of junior engineers towards successful delivery of engineering solutions.     Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
     Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning,
    configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
     Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
     Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement
    improvements.
     Engage in conducting Proof of Concepts of various vendor solutions and present final
    recommendations.
     Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
     Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
     Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and
    consistent platform deployments.
     Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions
    are protected from data loss.
     Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
     Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
     Participate in an on-call rotation to address and resolve technical escalations.

     

    Requisitos

    Required Skills and Experience:
     4+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and
    optimization.
     6+ years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions
     Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure,
    databases, and application systems
     Experience working within an Agile framework.
     Experience in IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
     Experience Azure PowerShell.
     Experience with Python, data analysis using Python, working on Python solutions in Azure.

     Experience with C#, frameworks for apps and solutions on Azure.
     Experience with Windows, Linux VMs, networking, routing & firewalls.
     Experience with Azure services such as Azure App Services, ADF, Logic Apps, AKS, ADLS, etc..
     Proficient with GIT, ADO to perform source code management.
     Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps
     Experience with Jira and ServiceNow
     Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data
    protection, information security and CI/CD tooling.
     Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional
    partners.
     Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail
