Your Role:

Have you heard of Tenable.io? Our cloud-based vulnerability management platform built for today’s dynamic IT assets, like cloud, containers and web apps? Well, that’s what you’ll be working on in this role.  You will need to continue to quickly build out the platform, scale it automatically, and make it more self-managing for our cloud customers!

Your Opportunity:

  • Responsible for taking the code and functionality of Tenable.io and making it function in private cloud environments
  • Responsible for responding to support escalations which involve troubleshooting complex technical problems and resolving data/configuration issues within defined service level objectives
  • Managing customer segregation across multiple geographical regions and zones to provide high performance, reliability, and availability
  • Responsible for developing software, tools, and scripts to automate deployment, management, and monitoring of production systems in all environments
  • Provide strategic and thought leadership among peers on complex projects
  • Collaboration with cloud engineers in understanding new cloud technologies, assessing impact to security services operations, and proposing solutions to existing business problems
  • Collaboration in the software development lifecycle to develop detailed enhancement/bug definitions, write functional requirements, translate the requirements into solution designs, and navigate the functional requirements through to Production deployments
  • Proactively look for ways to create efficiencies within operations as it pertains to the tools and technology used by Tenable to support their customer base
  • Manage, participate in, or directly work on any additional projects, assignments, or initiatives assigned by management
  • Create/maintain documentation for operational procedures
  • Drive standardization efforts across multiple disciplines and services in conjunction with embedded SREs throughout the organization
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and support 24x7 availability of production application systems

What You'll Need:

  • U.S citizen required
  • 5+ years of related SRE experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Strong experience with the Agile software development methodology and collaboration with internal teams to deliver software and configuration artifacts
  • Strong background in bash scripting in addition to experience in higher-level scripting languages like Python or Node.js
  • Experience with Docker or similar container solution
  • Experience with orchestration tooling such as Kubernetes and Docker Swarm
  • Experience with Terraform or similar IaC technologies
  • 2+ years deploying Amazon Web Services (AWS) public cloud infrastructures preferred including administering managed AWS services (OpenSearch, MSK, EKS, Batch, etc.)
  • 1+ years of operational experience with industry-leading "big data" services technologies
  • Be an enthusiastic learner, user, and advocate of our technologies
  • Has desire to win as a team – make big things happen by working together and being open and willing to try new ideas
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written, verbal, & virtual) with ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Must have high degree of personal integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Must have a strong drive, be self-motivated, logical, and have a keen attention to detail

And Ideally:

  • Experience deploying distributed, microservice oriented applications
  • Experience with Java build tools including Gradle
  • Experience with Helm/Tiller
  • Experience with Go and Java/Kotlin

The base salary range for this position is $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 USD. About the role:

You will play a critical role in supporting a digital marketing solution for several high-profile websites run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Data Ingestion Pipeline Developer will work with a team to produce dynamic, personalized email and SMS campaigns to deliver information relevant to each customer. You should have experience working in a cross-functional team of partners in which you were responsible for driving ____.

In this position you will:

  • Work closely with a team of  ingestion/application integration engineers (or ‘pipeline developers’?) with responsibility for the architecture, deployment, and operations of the infrastructure used by wider team
  • Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to identify and effectively respond to their specific needs, especially related to client deliverables
  • Develop, test, and operationalize the data infrastructure that will contribute to client-facing products, such as writing and reviewing API endpoints.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a well documented, consistent codebase.
  • Provide visibility into data transformations by designing and implementing data tests throughout existing pipelines.
  • Extract business logic (ETL/ELT, metrics, metadata) from current data systems into portable cloud-agnostic layers.
  • Analyze, build, and deploy data models, including relational models for data warehousing.
  • Produce scalable, replicable code and engineering solutions that help automate repetitive data management tasks.
  • Support your teammates in implementing efficient and resilient data processes, with improvements such as optimization, good error handling, and incoming data checks.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our program team infrastructure and our compliance with client policies and procedures, including remediating findings from regular systems auditing

What we are seeking:

  • 3+ years of experience as a contributor to technical projects, such as working with complex data structures and pipelines 
  • Experience delivering on client priorities that operate on a regular deployment schedule while reacting to urgent ad hoc needs
  • Ability to manage your individual priorities and comfortably context-switch between active development, client discussion, and issue response
  • Effective communication skills when working with team members of varied backgrounds, roles, and functions
  • Experience performing nontrivial deployments of web applications and/or data pipelines and supported production infrastructures
  • Experience designing data models that keep in mind the upstream and downstream system dependencies
  • Advanced understanding of how to test and debug scripts that process and manipulate data using SQL, R, and/or Python

Job Description:

We are seeking a DevSecOps Manager to join our team.  The successful candidate will have a strong on-prem and cloud background with experience automating a continuous Integration/continuous delivery (CICD) pipeline with a goal to increase the efficiency, timeliness, and security of software deployments.  In addition, the DevSecOps manager is responsible for maintaining middleware software components within the platform environment. 

This role requires hands-on engineering, mentoring other team members, and building/executing a roadmap and strategy for the program.  This role reports directly to the CISO and partners closely with the Cybersecurity, Technical Operations, Architecture, and Software Engineering teams.



  • Create a a DevSecOps strategy and roadmap for the enterprise
  • Work closely with other technical teams to build a high quality, low friction, secure deployment pipeline supporting an Agile software development methodology
  • Create a flexible, automated CICD pipeline that can be easily modified to support changes/improvements in database and infrastructure
  • Manage platform middleware components including upgrading and patching. A portion of the middleware components include Weblogic, Tomcat, ActiveMQ, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Teamcity, Ansible, Java, Hashicorp, Kubernetes, and JBoss
  • Manage a team of 10+ individuals both onshore and offshore
  • Establish team member commitments and ensure deliverables are met with quality
  • Developmaintainable orchestration code using standard best practices
  • Create Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts to support deployment automation and IaC
  • Address issues with respect to performance or failed builds in a timely and efficient manner
  • Develop solutions/code to automate routine day-to-day tasks improving the timeliness of the software release process
  • Help application development teams with code deployment for emerging codebases to ensure that they are highly scalable, secure, available, and meet applicable regulatory & auditing requirements
  • Additional responsibilities, as required


Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3-5 years of DevOps/DevSecOps experience preferred
  • 3-5 years Automating CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Middleware application software Apache Tomcat, Spring Boot, Jetty, JBoss
  • Experience containerizing applications/services
  • 2-3 years working with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Cloud Formation
  • AWS certification in relevant technologies preferred
  • Experience with cloud security tools preferred
  • Experience with Kubernetes/orchestration/containerization tools
  • Experience working in environments with PCI, PHI, SOX, or HITRUST regulatory auditing requirements preferred
