About the Role

JustPark is looking for an experienced User Interface (UI) Designer to join the product design team and build a world-class parking product. This role would suit someone who is confident in delivering high quality design work and bringing in insightful opinions to a cross-functional team.

What do we need from you?

Design process - You have solid knowledge of product development cycle, and have experience of dealing with complex product challenges and delivering features

Design system- You are confident in developing and implementing complex design systems and supporting multiple streams of delivery. Be familiar with the latest innovations in design system thinking such as tokenisation, variants, dev mode etc

Typography - You have an in-depth understanding of typographical principles when applied to web and app design

UI - You have an excellent  eye for design and have strong visual design skills, you are able to create high quality and appealing designs

Prototyping - You will be able to create interactive prototypes, it’s a great way to test and communicate ideas

Industry - You are aware of industry trends and developments which will  be helpful in delivering a state of the art UI for JustPark

Delivery- Work with product owners to ensure timely delivery of UI elements

Innovation- Work collaboratively with the product team and be a key contributor to design innovation

What are your responsibilities?

You will be working collaboratively with the product, design and engineering team throughout all stages. You are a contributor to a good design process and ways of working, you raise the bar and inspire the team to push boundaries within an open environment.

• Play a key role in defining design direction and approaches
• Be instrumental in building the next generation design system that will help us expand globally
• Contribute and lead on design direction and interaction development
• Design interaction prototypes which can be used by the product team for research and product development 
• Deliver high quality and polished designs, own design reviews and be open minded with feedback and critiques
• Partner closely with other designers at Justpark and the engineering team to ensure consistency and excellence of design standards
• Work closely with the brand team to align product and brand vision

Our requirements

• A portfolio showcasing your experience and product design processes across a range of projects with exceptional front-end design
• 5+ years experience in designing for web, Android and iOS
• Strong recent work experience in designing for e-commerce or marketplace sites
• Extensive experience using Figma for design
• 3+ years of experience building and documenting design systems
• An inquisitive mind with a proactive approach to problem solving, and ready for challenges
• Advocate for user-centric design approaches
• A passion for creative collaboration across disciplines
• Understanding of HTML, CSS would be a plus 
• Skills in communicating and influencing product design strategy
• A logical approach to assessing tasks and prioritising effectively
• A hunger for learning and sharing knowledge with the team

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to make a significant impact in a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks, including management reporting, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and overseeing the accounts payable and receivable functions. The role also involves treasury management and working closely with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Organisation context 

You will be reporting into our Finance Director and work alongside our Account Payable & Receivable Manager

Key Result Areas

• Management Reporting: prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis and financial commentary. Post journals and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
• External Reporting:manage the external reporting and audit process
• Treasury Management: monitor cash flow and manage daily treasury operations. Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts and manage banking relationships
• Compliance and process improvement:ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:Oversee the accounts payable and receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
• Budgeting:assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations
• Collaboration and support: work closely with other departments to provide financial support and insights
• Tax Compliance:ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns

Required knowledge, skills and experience

• Newly qualified accountant (either ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS
• Proficient in a financial software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment is desirable

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is all about building a backend that delivers new tools and products to 10 million users, building solutions that ensure our customers experience a world-class service from our products.

As a senior engineer, you will get to contribute to key architectural decisions that shape the future of the stack at scale. You’ll also be expected to take charge of technical delivery and guide the more junior members of the team around you as we work together daily.

ABOUT OUR TECH STACK

We use Laravel 10 and PHP 8.1 as our daily drivers. Our current architecture is fairly monolithic, predominantly sat in Laravel as our main API and remnants of legacy desktop. We have a bunch of surrounding services written in Go, Java, Python and Node also, state is held in Redis, MySQL and PostgreSQL. Primarily the surrounding microservices are written in Go (around 25) with some legacy Java/Python services.

We operate in a cloud environment, utilising Google Cloud, and our infrastructure is cloud native - our entire production, staging and development stack is kubernetes and docker. 

We work to agile methodologies. Peer review of work is expected from all engineers, and we work in a test driven fashion as often it allows, but understand sometimes we might need to kick some code about for a bit before we’ve got the right implementation then refactor and pin in test. We are big on pair programming and encourage it wherever possible.

• We’ve implemented CI/CD and in the process of introducing canary releases/automated rollback
• Written our own pricing engine, that can handle any car parks pricing structure
• Implemented multiple multi-million pound sub-products to support our core service

Job purpose

Specific to the UK we are now supporting the parking industry with a growing number of technology solutions. Where historically we have been predominantly a Reservations business (pre-bookable parking), we can now support our partners across a much larger range of their needs including On-Demand (cashless), Reservations and Business Insights. To this end, we are looking for a proven Sales professional, ideally with strong parking experience (though this is not a necessity), to come into the team and really help turbo-charge our future growth. 

Reporting into the Head of Sales, the Senior Business Development Manager will have specific responsibility for establishing our solutions within their given customer verticals (this vertical will be agreed through the interview process and could depend on the experience and background of the successful candidate). They will have full responsibility for developing and closing a sales pipeline that will play a key part in helping the Commercial Team deliver meet our overall growth targets. Key elements include:

• Pricing strategy
• Go to market strategy
• Cross sell strategy 

• While we are not looking for any predefined amount of experience, the successful candidate will need to have demonstrable experience of how they have thrived in a high calibre consultative selling background.
• We are not selling a commodity product but instead business solutions to support our partners. This requires someone that can quickly understand their prospect’s business challenges and be able to match JustPark’s solutions to these. 
• In doing so, they will build trust with their prospects, cementing our role as partners to the industry. 
• More important than X years of experience is mindset. We really want someone to come in and blow us away with examples of how they have previously proactively sought opportunity, gone after it and closed it.
• The role will have its own sales target (covering all of our products across a given customer segment). We are therefore looking for someone that is highly numerate and knows how to structure a commercial deal that can work for all parties. 
• The successful candidate will balance people and process - they will be a great relationship former and deal closer and be fully comfortable with maintaining (and helping establish) a rigorous sales process that will set us up for long-term growth.
• Experience in sales enablement tools such as Salesforce is vital.  
• Optional - previous parking industry experience would be a positive but not a prerequisite.

Whereas before, JustPark was purely an expert in consumer parking reservations and on-demand payments, as a combined business we are now also market leaders in providing best-in-class venue and event parking management services and business intelligence. This makes 2024 a hugely exciting time to join our business and we are looking for new team members that will help us execute on the opportunity now in front of us. 

Job Purpose

Specific to the UK we are now supporting the parking industry with a growing number of technology solutions. Where historically we have been predominantly a Reservations business (pre-bookable parking), we can now support our partners across a much larger range of their needs including On-Demand (cashless), Reservations and Business Insights. Our existing partners represent the largest opportunity we have to grow our business so we are looking for a proven Account Manager to come into the team to help us harness this opportunity and turbo-charge our future growth. 

The Senior Account Manager will own a portfolio of our current B2B partners.

Key elements of the role include:

• First and foremost, build a trusted relationship with your partners so they know who you are and how you can support them
• Build and execute a robust account management structure so all partners within your portfolio have a proportionate cadence of contact and reporting
• Building a portfolio strategy for growth - how do we grow the products our partners currently use as well as introduce them to new products that will help them achieve their goals

Job Requirements

• We are not looking for any predefined level of experience - more a set of behaviours that start with a bias for action - you will take ownership of your portfolio and proactively seize every opportunity to develop and grow it. You will do this by really learning about your partner’s organisations and how we can best support them
• You will be very comfortable developing a relationship with all levels of the partner’s organisation from executives to day to day operations teams, building trust in the process
• You must be comfortable working closely with our product and engineering teams to develop a good understanding of the technical details and capabilities of our products. This will allow you to speak knowledgeably to partners about our capabilities and be able to spot opportunities to support a partner better
• You are someone who is excited about the opportunity to grow our business with existing partners and to close new deals with them. While keeping our partners happy is a large part of the role, this is equally a growth role with its own sales target. The successful candidate will build, maintain and close their own pipeline of opportunity within their portfolio
• As such you must be highly numerate and know how to structure a commercial deal that can work for all parties
• You are comfortable using sales enablement tools like Salesforce to report and track opportunities
