Job Description

As an AWS Architect , you will help clients transform their business, mostly driven by digital opportunities and technology. Responsibilities:

  • Design next generation cloud native solutions with Azure PAAS services leveraging AWS storage and messaging services such as Service Bus Topics, AWS Kinesis, Kafka and AWS Redshift, S3, Databricks and Athena and Elastic storage, etc.
  • Implement containerized microservices solutions with AWS Kubernetes Services and Docker
  • Plan and design data movement and data virtualization from legacy monolithic databases to modern cloud native storage solutions such as S3, Redshift, Elastic Storage, DynamoDB, RDS
  • Design event driven architectures with Step Functions, Glue, Spark Pipelines
  • Shape the cloud transformation solutions for large scale cloud migration and modernization opportunities with immense passion and energy to win new business and expand adoption of AWS Cloud services
  • Understand client’s business drivers and priorities and design solutions that address cost optimization, business agility and technology modernization

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate:

  • Architect solutions for Cloud Modernization and Migrations of Large Scale Application Portfolios including patterns and approaches for incremental move to cloud, data modernization and working in hybrid cloud environment
  • Data Architect with real world experience in the design, management and delivery of large-scale Data Warehousing, Data Lake and transformational Data projects
  • Experience with Data Architectural Principles, Standards, and approaches
  • Use Cloud design best practices and design patterns such as. to create highly scalable solutions
  • Apply Domain Driven Design concepts for designing Micro-services and API strategy
  • Integrate CI/CD and continuous testing practices with DataOps and MLOps constructs into the Data and AI engineering lifecycle
  • Deep understanding of AWS Security landscape including Application Security, Data Security, Compliance, etc
  • Excellent communication skills and client facing skills

You’ll be responsible for the support of Citrix environments, within contracted time frames and service level agreements. This support will involve remote support and ad-hoc onsite visits when required and participate in an on-call roster for after-hours support. 

Please note that due to customer requirements, this role requires Australian Citizenship with a Government NV1 Security Clearance.

You will be part of our extensive technical operations business who support each other working collaboratively across locations. You’ll be providing technical maintenance, support services within agreed service levels along with maintaining technical documentation. You will also be using tools and processes to deliver services to customers to ensure their service level agreements are met, proactively managing their infrastructure and driving service process improvement. Utilising your expertise in Citrix and NetScalers to scope and work on projects is also a part of the role. Sharing your knowledge and expertise through coaching others in the team is also a great way to contribute to this growing specialist practice at Datacom.

What you’ll bring  

To be successful in this role you’ll bring at least 5 years' experience as a Senior System Engineer with expertise in Citrix and NetScaler technologies. Experience and background supporting Windows Server, infrastructure applications, and cloud technologies is also needed. 

Your technical experience must include:  

  • Citrix DaaS/Virtual Apps and Desktops Administration and configuration 
  • Citrix Netscaler Administration and configuration 
  • User profile management via UPM, FSLogix, and Ivanti DesktopNow 
  • Windows Server Systems Administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Patch Management 
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Server technology products 
  • Managing virtual environments utilising infrastructure such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V 
  • Management of physical server environments such as Cisco Unified Computing (UCS), HPE and Dell 
  • Sound knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies using tools such as Veeam, NetBackup and CommVault. 

Your customer focus and communication skills will be a strength, along with an ability to develop and maintain productive internal and external relationships, partnerships and networks. We are keen to hear of your troubleshooting, problem-solving experience, your understanding of public cloud platforms and agile operations.
