About the Team

You will be a key member of the Security Engineering team that is responsible for developing security-focused features and frameworks for Instacart in both production and infrastructure space. Ideally a hybrid builder/breaker, you will have an opportunity to lead high impactful projects across the platform and assist in defining the internal team processes. You will be directly influencing the security posture of many products and systems across the company. 

About the Job 

• Design, implement and ship high-quality security features for the product and internal tools across Instacart with a strong sense of urgency and accountability such as:
• Secrets & Vulnerability management
• IAM and Zero Trust
• Platform abuse prevention & mitigation 
• Data analytics hardening 
• Work closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and peer engineering teams to define project requirements and execution plans.
• Identify unaddressed areas of security weakness and help the teams come up with efficient and scalable solutions.
• Provide software engineering resource for sister teams in the areas of infrastructure hardening, detection, and response
• Participate in the team’s on-call by handling and running security incidents

About You

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-5 years of experience in Security Engineering or related role
• Strong knowledge of common back-end web technologies (such as Ruby on Rails, Python, Golang, SQL, etc.) in a large scale distributed system environment
• Experience with leading security design reviews and threat modeling
• An ability to make data-driven decisions & prioritize initiatives that would help improve the key metrics
• An ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and drive alignment on security objectives and plans
• An ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high-quality and pragmatic solutions.
• Strong self-management and organizational skills
• Experience developing tools and automation using common devops toolsets and programming languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related work experience
• Breaker experience, such as web/application penetration testing, including OSCP/OSWE

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a CLOUD 1st environment.  Stitch Fix is looking for a Principal IR Engineer to help with security initiatives, Incident Response and implementing best practices in the areas of infrastructure, network security, and cloud environments, as well as compliance and policy.

The individual in this role will be part of the Security Team and work closely with the various Platform and Development teams. The candidate should have strong experience with Incident Response, container technologies, and deployment and integration patterns in a production AWS environment. 

Our team members are given a great deal of autonomy in the pursuit of keeping Stitch Fix secure, and the successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills. They should be comfortable and productive, working independently, partnering with a larger, highly distributed engineering team.

REQUISITE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Your skills are broad - building, deploying, and maintaining security services in an organization, and serving as the Subject Matter Expert for cloud security throughout the development lifecycle.

• Minimum 10 years in Security, preferably in an Incident Response role or similar “first responder” role (Trust and Safety, Fraud, Account Protection, etc) 
• AWS Experience is a MUST
• Demonstrated experience with analysis, leading, and documenting Security Incidents 
• Demonstrated experience with cyber security incident lifecycle acting as an incident commander
• Demonstrated experience with common logging software (Splunk, SumoLogic, Datadog or similar) at proficient to expert level 
• Demonstrated experience with EDR solutions (Crowdstrike, etc) at proficient to expert level 
• Understanding of common adversarial tools and techniques and IOCs (Indicators of Compromise) 
• Familiarity with APT groups and TTPS 
• Demonstrated capability to follow and drive response outcomes
• Strong ability to be calm “under fire” and drive solutions in a time-sensitive environment when under stress or urgency
• Strong written communication skills when completing post-mortems
• Ability to partner and demonstrate soft skills to influence outside of the Security organization and encourage cooperation and resolution during security events
• Strong experience with AWS security services (Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, etc.)

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake Specific Data Engineer) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Snowflake data warehouse. You will work closely with our data analysts, architects, and developers to ensure that our Snowflake data warehouse is optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

About the Role:

Fubo is looking for an exceptional Software Engineer with a passion for video systems that solve complex problems.

As a member of the VOD Acquisition, Encoding & Operations team at Fubo, you will work in a video streaming ecosystem that writes code for all parts of a VOD acquisition, encoding, packaging and encryption pipeline.  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engineer solutions for research and innovations sake within the ecosystem that is streaming video.

• Have 4+ years of experience in delivering working software

We're looking for an experiencedChief Architect to help design, scale, and architect technical systems to power our unique and innovative personalized shopping experience. Reporting to our Chief Product & Technology Officer, you will help us make the tough technology decisions needed to serve our clients. You will guide our team of principal and lead engineers to formulate the overall technical strategy for the organization. You will be called upon to de-risk the hardest technical challenges we face as we design loosely coupled systems and make buy-vs-build decisions to meet business needs and serve our customers efficiently. In a team of world-class engineers, you will be an important part of the engineering leadership team that helps steer the company towards new heights while still building a tight knit culture and helping keep high morale.

• Build a strategic vision for our architecture by incorporating data, business objectives, and industry knowledge
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and principal engineers from across various domain and platform teams
• Work with senior engineering leaders cross functionally to align on technical initiatives and ensure communication and consistency across teams
• Break down complex technical problems into smaller deliverables that can be framed correctly for others to work on
• Help reduce ambiguity and increase developer productivity by working with the management team to share context and reduce inefficiencies
• Drive engineering and operational excellence across our ~400 person product and engineering organization

• 15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience
• 10+ years of experience in a technical leadership role
• Deep sense of empathy and passion for consumers and end-users
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, adjacent fields or equivalent years of experience
• Experience working with distributed teams in the US. We use GitHub, Slack, Jira and Zoom extensively to collaborate
• Deep experience at influencing without positional authority, using great judgment to help teams be loosely coupled but highly aligned to the technical strategy
• Experience building architectures and strategies that serve multiple platforms (web, iOS, Android)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Disciplined and balanced work ethic as a role model for other engineers
• Good understanding of machine learning and data science fundamentals is beneficial
• Experience with optimizing AWS investment across a complex architecture
• Deep knowledge of tradeoffs between different API integration technologies (REST, RPC, etc)
• Experience with Ruby and Rails, Golang, GraphQL, Node.js, and/or React is a plus
• Experience working on high-scale e-commerce websites and mobile apps
• Experience at a rapid scale or high team growth environment is a plus

The Job

Atticus works in an industry dominated by outdated technology that is ripe for fresh thinking: our core competitors rely on massive call centers to screen clients, antiquated CRMs to track and manage cases, and paper checks to get paid (provided they’re sent to the right address). 

Conversely, as a VC-backed tech company our product & engineering department powers everything we do: from creating an engaging online experience for people in crisis to providing tools for our network lawyers as they serve our clients, Atticus relies on technology to fulfill our mission.

We’re looking for Software Engineers to join our team. You’ll work on the front-end, and will partner with every department at Atticus as we continue to grow our platform to help people in need find trusted legal support.  

What You'll Do:

• Design, build and operate Atticus’ front-end applications written in React with a focus on performance, modularity, extensibility, and reliability.
• Work with product and software architects to plan and deliver features, fixes, and performance enhancements
• Leverage your peers as multipliers for your skills to create excellent products and services.

Qualifications

Required:

• You have 3+ years of experience writing idiomatic JavaScript/ Node.js
• You have experience and love for building React applications
• You speak CSS and HTML
• You enjoy working with UI and UX experts to build compelling user experiences
• You use a modern version-control system for your source code repository (Git, Mercurial, GitHub, BitBucket).
• You lint all your code or know you should.
• You know what parts of your code require tests and you write those tests.
• You are versed in cloud computing systems (GCP, AWS, etc.) and SAAS concepts.

Bonus / Nice-to-Have

• You have experience with Golang, Java, Python, Scala, or Ruby
• You like working or want to work with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Golang, Java
• You are well versed in working with or want to work with GraphQL, GraphQL Federation, REST APIs and supporting network protocols
• You can read or build a Webpack configuration

We anticipate the base salary band for this role will be between $115,000 and $180,000 in addition to equity and benefits. The salary at offer will be determined by a number of factors such as candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.

Location 

Today, about half our team are in Los Angeles and half are fully remote and spread across the U.S. There are two options for this job:

1. Live in Los Angeles, work a few days a week (or more) out of our beautiful office in the Arts District.
2. Live wherever, work remotely (Ideally PST hours), and travel to LA (on the company dime) as needed to be with your colleagues —somewhere between monthly and quarterly.

In short: You can do this job well remotely, and we’re committed to empowering everyone with flexibility. But we care a lot about building a great culture and we think some interactions need to happen in person, so we put a lot of thought into retreats, offsites, and other ways to gather.
