Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive Product Support Analyst, who enjoys the challenges of handling client support in complex IT and business environments, coordinating client upgrades, writing support documentation, and leading training sessions. As a dedicated Support Analyst in IFS Copperleaf’s European team, you’ll become a wizard with our own product and cloud set up to help respond to client’s queries and support issues. You’re comfortable troubleshooting challenging situations where the problem is inadequately defined, and for which there are no existing knowledgebase articles or procedures.  You’re a curious big picture observer who can analyze and see how the business and IT pieces fit together.

You will be open to handling varied support requests from both clients and internal users and be the go-to team member for solving technical problems.

You’ll be joining a growing European team based across the U.K., Spain, Netherlands, France, Germany and Denmark and be a part of a wider global support team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Triaging and resolving customer questions and requests for our English and French speaking clients.
  • Writing tips and troubleshooting documents based on solved support queries.
  • Understanding the functional aspects of our software and how it supports our client’s business processes.
  • For clients in your ‘client catalog’ you’ll manage and are accountable for your clients’ support needs.
  • Acting as the bridge between the client and the release team during client upgrades, including handling coordination of the releases.
  • Leading monthly calls with clients to discuss and follow up on ongoing questions, enhancement requests and business needs.
  • Delivering internal product training to new staff, partners and clients a like.

Qualifications

Your background:

You’re a Support Analyst with one or more of the following skills

  • 2+ years in a support environment for browser or client-server applications.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise software application support.
  • Business fluent in English and French
  • Competent level of Excel for data manipulation.
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle databases and Linux containers is a plus.
  • Able to write SQL queries (Oracle) is nice to have, but not essential.
  • Experience working with software development teams (familiarity with bugs, features, release cycles, deployment, branching, etc.).

Must be responsible for successful technical delivery and support of Data Warehousing, Data Migration and Transformation, and Business Intelligence projects using an Agile project management methodology. The duties of this role will include all aspects of data processing, storage, and ingestion, as well as data analysis and visualization of relative multi-program data. 

Qualifications

Responsibilities:  

ETL/Data Warehouse: 

  • Create, maintain, and reverse engineer the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) procedures for the Data Warehouse (DW) environment using the Informatica PowerCenter suite. 
  • Perform analysis of RDBMS tables and PowerCenter objects to answer questions pertaining to the data warehouse and the data transformations. 
  • Create and maintain scripts and files that perform various functions on the Informatica integration servers.  Use Putty or other Unix text editor to maintain Linux environment.  
  • Maintain data model documentation (ERwin) if changes to the ETL require database changes, and develop, test, and deploy associated DDL.  
  • Manage releases of changes to ETL, scripts, DDL, and scheduling components from Development to Test to Production.   
  • Provide support for the Test, Certification, and Production DW environments.  
  • Maintain Consolidated Data Model (CDM).  
  • Any knowledge of Informatica Cloud Integration Services a plus 
  • Provide ongoing development and maintenance of financial data marts and enterprise data warehouse using BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data, structured query language skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques.  
  • Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved delivery of data supporting agency financial operations and mission.   
  • Convert business requirements and high-level data collection needs into well-specified ETL, analyses, reporting and visualizations.  
  • Define and log work using JIRA.  
  • Participate in recurring team meetings (Agile). 

Education & Qualifications Required:   

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or commensurate experience in a related field.   
  • 5 + years of experience using Informatica PowerCenter at development level (creating mappings, workflows, etc). 
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in ETL development support and maintenance. 
  • Strong SQL (Oracle) abilities. 
  • Proficiency in shell scripting 
  • ETL environment where Salesforce a source a plus 
  • ETL environment where Control-M used a plus 
  • 2+ years of Informatica PowerCenter administration.  If in a Linux environment a plus. 
  • Knowledge or usage of Informatica IICS, EDC, and or AXON a plus.  
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.  
  • Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.  
  • Familiarity with Erwin data modeling tool.  
  • Experience working in a Microsoft SharePoint environment.  
  • Experience with AGILE and writing User Stories.  
  • Must be able to present diagnostic, troubleshooting steps and conclusions to varied audiences.  
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining enterprise Data Warehouse platforms and BI reporting services.  
  • Banking and lending domain experience a plus.

About the Role:

The Security Operations team at Gusto is on the front lines of protecting Gusto and our customers from a wide range of threats—phishing attacks, insider risks, data loss, and the latest sophisticated attack techniques. Every day, our distributed team across Eastern and Pacific time zones works in sync to strengthen our monitoring and response capabilities, ensuring swift and effective threat detection and mitigation.

We’re looking for an ambitious Security Analyst with 2+ years of experience to join us in advancing our security operations and vulnerability management initiatives. In this role, you’ll split your time between driving our Vulnerability Management Program and supporting essential security operations. If you have hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS etc), a proactive approach to incident response, and familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby), and collaborate with multiple areas of the company. This is an exceptional chance to grow your expertise in a dynamic setting.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Perform real-time monitoring, respond to security incidents, and assist with post-incident analysis. This could include the following:
  • Administer, tune, and enhance security tools such as SIEM, endpoint detection & response, data loss prevention, etc.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance security operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain documentation on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and procedures to support continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Support internal users with security concerns and questions, helping to strengthen and promote Gusto’s security culture.
  • Triage and analyze vulnerability results to identify and prioritize security weaknesses, escalating as necessary for immediate response.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the remediation of vulnerabilities.
  • Regularly audit and refine vulnerability management processes, tools, and reports to maintain accuracy, and ensure compliance with security policies.

Here’s what we're looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in security operations or a related field. Examples of required experience may include:
    • Monitoring security tools for alerts and investigating suspicious activity.
    • Conducting regular vulnerability assessments, triaging risks, and tracking remediation efforts.
    • Identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, which includes root cause analysis and remediation.
    • Gathering and applying threat intelligence to proactively address potential security threats.
    • Documenting procedures and creating incident reports to improve response processes and compliance.
  • Basic understanding of networking, firewalls, and security protocols.
  • Operational familiarity with Linux and containers.
  • Understanding of K8s manifest files and package versioning.
  • A passion for continuous learning and a proactive approach to security challenges.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of managing IAM permissions with Terraform.
  • Understanding of the principles of least privilege.
  • Scripting language proficiency.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Analyze and document findings effectively, providing clear insights into key issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with log analysis and digital forensics.
  • Experience leading an incident response investigation.
  • Understand vulnerabilities and how to patch them.
  • Experience with GitHub Dependabot.
  • Understanding of industry standard security frameworks and benchmarking. 
  • Coding experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) are a plus.
  • Interest in the landscape of security and its impact across multiple industries and tactics, techniques, procedures of threat actors.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $112,000-125,000 in Denver & most remote locations, and $140,000-157,000 for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.


Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Employees who are based in those locations will be expected to work from the office on designated days approximately 2-3 daysper week (or more depending on role). The same office expectations apply to all Symmetry roles, Gusto's subsidiary, whose physical office is in Scottsdale.

Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas. 

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.

Job Description

The SOC Analyst is a pivotal member of the Security Operations Center, acting as the first line of defense against cyber threats. The analyst is primarily responsible for triaging and analyzing raw security data, reviewing alarms and alerts, and determining their criticality. The role requires critical thinking and deep analytical skills to differentiate between false positives and actionable threats, prioritize high-risk incidents, and enrich alerts with relevant context for further investigation.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a SOC role.
  • Proven experience in working with SIEM (e.g., Chronicle,Splunk, IBM QRadar) and EDR/XDR solutions (e.g., Trellix, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
  • Proven ability to perform incident triage and distinguish between false positives and actionable threats.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex datasets and incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting and collaborating with team members.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Advanced English (required).
  • Desirable: CompTIA Security+
  • Desirable: Certified SOC Analyst (CSA).
  • Desirable: EC-Council Certified Incident Handler (ECIH).

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and collect raw security data from various platforms.
  • Review alarms and alerts, validate their accuracy, and enrich them with relevant data, including Indicators of Compromise (IoCs) and threat intelligence feeds.
  • Leverage tools such as SIEM platforms (e.g., Chronicle, Splunk, IBM QRadar, FortiSIEM), EDR/XDR solutions (e.g., Trellix, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, FortiXDR), and SOAR platforms (e.g., Chronicle, FortiSOAR, Splunk SOAR) to identify, analyze, and correlate security events.
  • Identify high-risk events and potential incidents, prioritizing them based on criticality and organizational impact.
  • Conduct initial investigations to categorize alerts, escalating unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication of incident details and risk assessments.
  • Assist in managing, configuring, and optimizing security monitoring tools to improve detection capabilities and reduce noise.
  • Support fine-tuning of detection rules and analytics to adapt to evolving threats.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, including analysis findings and actions taken, in ticketing systems.
  • Generate regular reports highlighting trends, high-risk events, and recommendations for process improvements.
