Summary:

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will shape the future of our data for autonomous trucking by contributing to our data driven perception simulation pipeline. In this role, you will be responsible for applying state of the art approaches for Neural Rendering in a scalable production setting, contribute to our data workflow and communicate with stakeholders such as machine learning and testing teams which rely on data from our simulation.  

What you'll be doing:

  • You will shape the future of our data for autonomous trucking by contributing to our data driven perception simulation pipeline. In this role, you will be responsible for applying state of the art approaches for Neural Rendering in a scalable production setting, contribute to our data workflow and communicate with stakeholders such as machine learning and testing teams which rely on data from our simulation. 
  • Advance modern simulation techniques by using state-of-the art ML approaches and computer vision techniques
  • Monitor, evaluate, and integrate the latest research advances in Neural Rendering and related domains to a production environment.
  • Deliver key contributions to design, architecture and implementation of a neural rendering framework that allows to scale perception simulation
  • Integrate the framework in a cloud environment and automate the pipeline to allow scaling for the target verification and validation of our autonomous trucks
  • Develop sensor models for camera, LIDAR and RADAR and apply them to a Neural Rendering setting

What you need to succeed:

  • BS, MS or PhD in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, computer engineering or related fields
  • 5+ years of software development experience or a PhD in machine learning, Computer Vision, or related field
  • Strong experience in Python and science libraries like Numpy, SciPy, Pandas and Matplotlib
  • Experience with one or more deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Expert knowledge of the principles, algorithms and tools of applied Deep Learning, including model training strategies, data processing, cost functions, quality metrics, etc.
  • Experience with 3D Computer Vision or rendering algorithms
  • Experience in applying machine learning towards rendering, 3D computer vision or related field, preferably multiple projects in these core areas
  • Track record of successfully building and shipping products or open-source projects

Bonus Points:

  • Publication record in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics and Machine Learning conferences (e.g. SIGGRAPH, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ICLR, ICML ...) is a plus
  • Kanban, Scrum or Scaled Agile development
  • Experience developing sensor models, 3D simulation environments, rendering and ray tracing in a perception simulation environment (i.e., game engine or other similar simulation environment)
  • Software and system troubleshooting and problem-solving with specific focus on system-level analysis, fault isolation and identification
  • Technical leadership experience
  • Experience with C++, C#, ROS for autonomous SW development and simulation tooling

  • Solid understanding of system design and software architecture, particularly with microservices.

  • Experience with web scraping technologies and building data collection pipelines.

  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience deploying ML models to production.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices on cloud architectures (Azure).

  • Experience with API design, implementation, and documentation, using OpenAPI 3.0 specification.

For All US Based Full-Time Positions:

The base salary for this position ranges between $149,500 to $238,500. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. About the Team

Workers AI is Cloudflare’s AI inference service, enabling customers to use a wide variety of AI models both within Cloudflare’s Workers development platform and via API. The Workers AI team owns the whole stack that powers the product, from front-end development all the way to low-level inference code. Accordingly we’re a team with a diverse array of technical skills, but everyone on the team is curious and passionate about the possibilities of generative AI.

What You’ll Do

The Workers AI AI/ML team is responsible for deploying AI inference on the GPUs within Cloudflare’s network, as well as building innovative features that enable developers to incorporate AI into their own products. You will be a technical leader on the team responsible for maintaining the Workers AI model catalog as well as the Workers AI AI and ML inference code. You will be building products and APIs that will be used by others, and will add your strong sense of what makes a good developer experience to the team.

  • Experience setting the architecture and technical direction of large, cross-team and cross-functional engineering projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable with tight deadlines and short release cycles

ABOUT THE JOB

You would be responsible for driving Engagement data science work which includes:

  1. Product strategy: Using data to identify the most promising opportunity areas along with contributing data expertise to refine and develop new product ideas
  2. Impact sizing: Providing an estimated impact of implementing a new feature
  3. Impact measurement: Running an experiment to determine the actual impact of newly launched product features
  4. Intelligent systems: Improving a product feature by adding intelligent functionality to the product that relies on data science methods including statistical and machine learning methods

 

The two most important responsibility areas of this role are product strategy and intelligent systems.

 

Product strategy: The best products are built with diversity of thought. Data scientists uniquely understand the available data, the business domain, and the advanced methods that can be applied to the data to drive the desired business outcome. There are two primary methods data scientists would add value in product strategy:

  1. Clearly articulate the right problem to solve to the team by providing a data-driven understanding of the problem area with the team as well as convincing the team of the most promising opportunity areas within the problem space
  2. Contribute product ideas that leverage intelligent systems to solve the problems identified while collaborating closely with product, research, design, and engineering teams on the overall solution.

 

Intelligent systems: Intelligent systems make products smarter by combining deep domain expertise with advanced statistical or ML approaches. Data scientists are uniquely positioned to combine their understanding of the domain and advanced statistical methods to rapidly iterate on different approaches to building an intelligent system to solve an ambiguous problem. They would invest time in creating the initial version of the intelligent systems while partnering with MLEs and SWEs to maximize the impact, scalability, and maintainability of the system.

 

The role requires strong XFN collaboration where an ideal candidate can:

  1. Drive critical efforts to completion with little oversight, while occasionally jumping into roles adjacent to data science (i.e. data engineering, machine learning engineer, etc).
  2. Bring new ideas to the team that get incorporated into the product roadmap
  3. Ruthlessly prioritize among requests from multiple competing stakeholders

The Role:

Podium is looking for a talented Senior Backend Python Engineer with an interest in building agentic applications using large language models (LLMs). In this role, you will be joining a team of engineers tasked with empowering local businesses by creating AI agents that efficiently handle customer interactions to optimize operations and reclaim valuable time. If you are passionate about tackling complex challenges, thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment, and have a knack for breaking down intricate problems, we think you’ll be a great fit.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and deploy advanced agentic applications powered by large language models to help local businesses automate interactions and manage leads.
  • Drive the entire lifecycle of AI agent development, from conception and design to implementation and maintenance.
  • Engage in rapid prototyping and iterative development to refine AI solutions based on real-world performance and feedback.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the effectiveness of AI agents in production, ensuring high reliability and user satisfaction.

What you should have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Go, or Elixir.
  • Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, and/or deploying LLM applications in production environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to decompose complex issues and drive innovation in a highly iterative development process.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

What we hope you have:

  • 5+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of large-scale distributed systems and/or ML systems and tools.

We are looking for a Software Engineer for the ML Operations and Platform Team

Compensation: $160,000-$190,000 including superannuation, plus employee equity plan grant & world class benefits.

As a Software Engineer on the ML Platform and Operations team, you will play a crucial role in improving our machine learning architecture and operational processes. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the machine learning infrastructure that supports all our machine learning initiatives. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to support efficient data access, model management, and deployment.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with data scientists to understand model requirements and translate them into production-ready solutions.
  • Contribute to the advancement of Rokt’s machine learning infrastructure by working on projects such as the feature store, model serving platform, and model registry, among others.
  • Manage and enhance the machine learning pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment, aiming to simplify the creation and deployment process while improving cost efficiency and runtime.
  • Design and implement initiatives to improve reliability and latency for the real-time serving of features and models.
  • Implement best practices for version control, CI/CD, and automated testing of machine learning models.
  • Manage cloud resources and services related to machine learning, including data storage and compute instances.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools in the machine learning ecosystem, and recommend improvements to existing systems.
  • Document processes, architectures, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and team alignment.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of industry experience in software engineering roles, with development experience in programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java, and/or other programming languages.
  • Experience with big data frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) for processing large datasets.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow).
  • Familiarity with building low-latency, distributed backend APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
