Job Description

Project – the aim you’ll have 

You will be part of an agile team that includes Polish and British developers and testers who deliver, rebuild and extend an existing IT ecosystem for a company in the travel industry. You will be engaged in adding new features, rebuilding existing solutions and proposing a new architecture. Your work will involve digital transformation initiatives, existing platform evolution, digital, web and mobile development and tech debt removal. Work will be divided between 4-5 teams, with each concentrating on a specific area.  

Position – how you’ll contribute 

  • Working with an experienced team that includes QAs, software developers, scrum & product managers,  
  • Working closely with developers, SM, PO and client to assure high quality 
  • Executing test cases with high precision and detail 
  • Writing automated tests 
  • Identifying software problems and determining steps to reproduce them 

Qualifications

Expectations – the experience you need 

  • Knowledge of topics such as: software quality, automation and manual testing testing process, type of tests, product lifecycle and bugs reporting 
  • Knowledge of SQL, Selenium, C# 
  • Basic knowledge of REST and test tools

Special Considerations

All of Axelerant’s roles are considered work from anywhere. But, we’re mainly looking to build our teams around Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia unless specified otherwise. And, we typically expect people to have a two-hour crossover with 11 AM to 7 PM India (UTC+05:30) each workday for meetings and coaching. You will report directly to the product owner and work with the development team to ensure that we deliver the best product we can.  As Chapter Lead you will also help other team’s whit his own QA’s to develop his testing strategy and propose best practices for the whole company.

 

Required knowledge:

  • +3/4 Years of experience in Automation QA
  • Experience with testing product requirements and design test scenarios.
  • Experience working on software testing, automation, testing strategy and methodologies.
  • Software development skills
  • Experience with agile software practices ATDD / TDD / BDD
  • Experience with non-functional tests Load/Performance/Security/Stress
  • +2 Years of experience using Selenium
  • +2 Years of experience using JMeter

 

Non mandatory but desirable:

  •  ISTBQ
  •  Tmap
  •  Experience on DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and process (e.g. Docker, Git-Hub)
  • Knowledge of Video and Streaming technologies
  •  Experience with NodeJS
  •  Experience with Appium

Job Description

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will Implement and execute test plans for Turnitin’s suite of products throughout the full software lifecycle. A QA Automation Engineer works within an Agile team to develop and measure quality assurance standards while maintaining and expanding test case and test automation coverage. You will also publish test results, help triage bugs, compose acceptance criteria for stories, and mentor fellow teammates on quality engineering best practices.

  • Works with the team to define, develop and implement quality assurance best practices and procedures: test strategies, test plans, test cases, and other quality-related assessments for their scrum team
  • Participates in all aspects of testing; including functional, regression, integration, and scale testing
  • Works collaboratively with their scrum team during all project stages to provide in-process testing results
  • Design, write, execute, and maintain automated and manual tests
  • Augment development teams with enhancing unit and integration tests
  • Perform root cause analysis for issues reported by users and uncovered by test results
  • Investigate, record, triage and track defects, and verify their fixes
  • Participates in major code releases as required
  • Participates in code review process
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on application programming and/or test automation/framework experience in an Agile development environment
  • Minimum 2 years  working with and testing API / Restful services(manual or automation)
  • Experience with one or more programming language C#, Java
  • Passion for building solutions through automation, driven by innovation and commitment to lifelong learning
  • Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in UI test automation
  • Experience working with CI/CD cycle, Agile methodology, and DevOps pipeline with Jenkins/Bitbucket, Maven, GIT
  • Experience with API Test using at least one of the following SOAP UI/REST Assured/Postman.
