About the position

You'll be joining 250 engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE and QA. We're organised into cross-functional development teams assigned to specific product areas. Regardless of the specific team you will be joining, you will be working on building features, tools, APIs and integrations for one of our products.

We use Jetpack Compose for the UI together with a share business logic in Kotlin Multiplatform (which is also used by the iOS app). Mobile developers in our teams work in both Android and iOS.

Given the team you will be working closely with, we are looking for someone who can work remotely within UTC to UTC+4 timezones.

Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience in mobile application development, with a proven track record of leading successful launch for moderate to complex product use-cases. 
  • 5+ years of experience of leading and managing teams with people management function.  
  • Demonstrated experience with atleast two major product launches, showcasing your ability to lead a project from conception through to market release with significant impact. Include specifics about your role in these launches, the challenges faced, and how they were overcome. 
  • Deep understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM), and mobile app lifecycle. 
  • Extensive experience with mobile development languages (e.g., Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android) and frameworks. 
  • Knowledge of mobile app security best practices, performance optimization, and cross-platform development tools (e.g., React Native, Flutter). 
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor team members. 
  • A portfolio of released applications on the App Stores 

Preferred Experience

Background in payments, fraud, and/or e-commerce industries preferred.
  • Leadership - This role requires strong communication skills, as well as displaying executive presence and confidence in varying levels of customer situations. The Principal CSM must display leadership with Signifyd, customer and partner teams who may be engaged in the delivery of complex solutions for overall customer success.
  • Relationship Building - Proven track record of building relationships with senior customer executives in large or highly strategic accounts. Experience managing various stakeholder relationships to generate consensus on solutions/engagements required.
  • Sales Acumen -Ability to diagnose customer pain points and consult on potential solutions to drive upsell opportunities. Own full-cycle expansion opportunities with Signifyd clients to hit annual bookings targets.
  • Program Management - Excellent skills in planning for a portfolio of engagements, cross-group collaboration, resource orchestration, communications, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail required. The Principal CSM will be accountable for the development and execution of the shared merchant plan, including the operational health of the customer solutions deployed today and in the future.
  • Collaboration and Communication - Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through with verbal and written communication. Strong presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences and various levels of management (CxO, Senior Executives, Day-to-Day Operations Team).

The anticipated salary range for this position is $126,960.00 - $178,250.00. Qualifications

What you’ll do:

  • Own key aspects of Pocket on the Android and iOS platforms.
  • Use and expand your skills in every part of developing an app, from UI down to the underlying architectures that bring apps to life.
  • Create a dynamic, flexible, native user experience that allows our users to discover, save, organize, consume, and share millions of articles. 
  • Work closely with our existing mobile engineers to build an extraordinary engineering experience for yourself and your peers.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, designers, product managers, and support teams to create a wonderful product experience for Pocket’s Android and iOS users.
  • Participate daily in decisions influencing the future of Pocket and its mobile platform.

What you'll bring:

  • Several years of real-world Android or iOS experience with contributions to one or more high quality Android or iOS apps.
  • Knowledge of the Android or iOS SDK inside and out.
  • Substantial experience with Swift and/or Kotlin.
  • Either experience or strong interest in building development skills on both Android and iOS. 
  • Experience resolving problems, signaling risk, fostering change, and facilitating collaborative decision-making in a cross-functional team.

What you'll do:

  • Product Engineer- Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to craft top-notch experiences in our fully-Swift iOS application and also seize opportunities to stay on your edge and stretch beyond mobile engineering to get the job done.
  • Lean and Agile Owner- Collaborate with cross functional teams to distill and synthesize requirements into discreet and meaningful iterations that can be implemented quickly to facilitate tight feedback loops and learning via data and metrics.  Leverage Lean Startup and Agile methodologies along with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment infrastructure to rapidly prototype and validate ideas.
  • Quality Maintainer- Build a scalable and stable application architecture using MVVM and Functional Reactive patterns to deliver a first-class mobile product. Follow automated testing best practices to enable us to move quicklywithoutbreaking things.
