Brightcove seeks a Senior Marketing Analytics Specialist to join the Marketing Operations & Analytics team. As a member of this team, you will support the global marketing team by leveraging technology, data, and insights to help improve marketing performance. You will partner with the team to build and maintain reports and dashboards to understand the performance of marketing campaigns, channels, and ABM programs in building pipeline and revenue.

Qualifications/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business analytics, sales analytics, revenue analytics, marketing analytics, data science, product analytics, or customer analytics.
  • 3+ years of Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Proficient in SQL, Excel and data visualization tools (Tableau and Looker Studio).
  • Ability to translate business requests to analytical methods to derive desired results.
  • Successful track record generating insights from data and recommendations to improve business performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work on the backend infrastructure of Brightcove’s VOD services.

The Client Solutions Director is primarily responsible for driving opportunities for Global Services to sell customized video and streaming technology solutions, platforms and experiences on top of the Brightcove product suite. You will be responsible for partnering with our account executives in the US media team to consult, scope, propose and sell solutions that use Brightcove to media and broadcast prospects. You will be expected to develop working relationships across many functions at Brightcove, and be a trusted partner and advisor to our new business prospects within the media vertical in the US. You will also be a partner and advocate for our delivery teams who will be building the solutions.  

Our ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in solution consulting selling in a design and build agency or a technical services environment (pure technical services or professional services within a product organization). The candidate should have an understanding of the mobile and living room device app ecosystem that is used for streaming content, with a passion for creating seamless, user friendly experiences. They  should also have a solid grasp of how streaming experiences are built from a backend and system integration perspective, and have the confidence to take prospects and customers on a journey to transformation using a combination of strategic and tactical guidance, and technical expertise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Business Development.  Client Solutions Directors work in close partnership with the Brightcove Account Executives in the US Media team to identify opportunities within our targeted accounts and new prospects, helping to strategize, market and sell the value of buying and using services to build a desired solution.
  • Solution Strategy.  Client Solutions Directors work closely with prospects to help formulate transformation strategies and tactics on building and succeeding with apps , OTT platforms and streaming experiences.
  • Solution Ownership. Client Solutions Directors work closely with the prospects, sales leads and solution engineers,  advising, guiding and taking ownership of the technical solution from the initial point of contact with a prospect to SOW signature.
  • Solution Development.  Client Solutions Directors work closely with the Global Services Delivery team and Solution Architects to convey prospect technical requirements and communicate project timelines, scope and pricing during the pre-sales process.
  • Relationship Management. Client Solutions Directors work closely with the Global Services Project Managers to ensure that customers needs are communicated clearly and expectations are managed, particularly in the pre- to post-sale handoff. They would also work with the project managers to ensure final delivery meets customers expectations.

Qualifications/Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in solution selling (ideally, both back end services and front end applications) in a professional services environment (pure services, design and build agencies, or professional services within a product organization).
  • Undergraduate Degree in Technology, Business Management or related area, or equivalent experience required.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Work with a variety of internal engineering teams to support services on a Kubernetes-based common infrastructure.
  • Contribute ideas to coding best practices and new technologies as necessary.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition on complex, multi-element revenue contracts including the estimation of variable consideration in accordance with ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
  • Perform independent contract reviews, including analyzing the impact of changes related to pricing and performance obligations. 
  • Independently perform month-end revenue and A/R close activities, including maintenance of memos and policies, preparation of journal entries, accruals/reserves, balance sheet account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Ops and Legal to propose and continuously improve operating procedures and scalability of the financial accounting system.
  • Provide backup for contract entry, invoicing, collections, and customer inquiries.
  • Independently work with auditors to answer questions and to determine and provide relevant supporting documentation and analysis on audit requests and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Compile and analyze quote-to-cash data, producing regular reports, metrics and insights for management.
  • Perform special project and ad-hoc requests for leadership as needed.

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA is a plus.
  • 3-4+​ years of accounting experience, ideally in revenue accounting in the SaaS/Tech industry. 
  • Strong understanding of quote-to-cash processes and best practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and adapt to change while maintaining high productivity and meeting deadlines.

  • Solution Development: Technical Leads work with Solution Architects and Business Analysts to create solutions for various client needs.  Technical Leads support the analysis of client processes and recommend new business models, workflows, or solutions to best meet client needs.

We are looking for an exceptional Sr. Data Engineer to help build our data platform to scale the business and enable our Analytics and Data organization in solving those challenges.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Proactively drive innovation in big data and the execution of our data engineering and data warehouse frameworks and services
  • Build world class data infrastructure, APIs, and datasets to support delivery and continuous improvement of Brightcove’s video, ad, and recommendation solutions.
  • Understand and translate business needs into data models to support long-term, scalable, and reliable solutions
  • Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
  • Drive data quality across the organization; develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models and tracking
  • Define and manage SLA’s for data sets and processes running in production
  • Continuously improve our data infrastructure and stay ahead of technology
  • Design a system for data backup in case of system failure
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Data, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product to understand data needs and deliver on those needs
  • Provide technical thought leadership to the team and organization
  • Help mentor and manage junior engineers

Qualifications/Experience 

  • 5+ years of development experience in Data Engineering and Data Warehousing
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, e.g. Computer Science, Math, Physics
  • Experience scaling data environments with distributed/RT systems and self-serve visualization environments
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, Java, Perl, Postgres, REST/GraphQL
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud based and SaaS data warehouse (e.g. AWS, Snowflake, GCP, NoSQL) and developing ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience integrating and building data platform in support of BI, Analytics, Data Science, and real-time applications
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to initiate and drive projects proactively and accurately
  • Experience with containers and container-based deployment, preferably Kubernetes
  • Experience working with version control, continuous deployment and performance monitoring tools, such as Git, TeamCity, Jenkins, SumoLogic, DataDog, and CloudHealth
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of ad sell-side providers and video/media processing across OTT, Live, and Video on Demand platforms is highly desired

Our centralized Data organization (Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering) is a specialized, cross-functional group that collaborates with a variety of departments to drive decisions and provide direction for future growth at Brightcove. The newly created Analytics team within Brightcove tackles challenging problems across many technical disciplines, including time series forecasting, causal inference, and optimization. In this data heavy role, we are seeking an exceptional data practitioner and hands-on Sr. Director of Analytics with a proven track record to build and lead a high-performing and growing Analytics team. In this role reporting to the SVP, Head of Data, you will be responsible for leading an organizational effort to better understand our customer needs, enhancing our product experiences, increasing our marketing and sales efforts and growth ecosystems, and growing our customer base.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Hire, develop, motivate, inspire and lead a high performance, proactive team of analysts that are able to gather, analyze, synthesize and deliver data and recommendations accurately and timely
  • Act as an analytics thought partner for product, marketing, sales, customer success and other key functional teams; proactively identify and explain trends; measure impact and effectiveness of features, experiences, creative campaigns across platforms and channels; drive customer, engagement, and revenue growth
  • Develop, propose and execute on analytics initiatives and roadmaps to ensure data best practices and play a critical role in expanding the data-informed culture at all levels of the organization
  • Apply sophisticated computational, statistical, and modeling techniques in support of decision-making and drive KPI improvement; techniques include A/B and multivariate testing, predictive analysis, classification, attribution, media mix modeling, data mining, clustering and segmentation
  • Effectively distill complex results down to concise summary and present actionable insights to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product, marketing, sales, engineering, operations, finance etc to define and influence data-informed business strategy and roadmaps
  • Manage development of data resources, gather requirements, organize sources, and support product and campaign launches
  • Partner with data engineering and technology teams to continuously seek innovative ways to improve the quality and accessibility of our analytical framework and data reporting infrastructure

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s or PhD a strong plus
  • 7+ years of experience in building, managing, and leading a high-performing data analytics team
  • 12+ years of relevant working experience with increasing responsibility and strong track record of technical competencies and business strategy
  • Track record of developing and executing data roadmaps to drive decision making across product, marketing, sales and customer success organizations
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, R) 
  • Expert knowledge with business intelligence tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
  • Expertise with statistical analyses, application, and concepts (e.g. regressions, experiment design, classification etc.)
  • Ability to operate independently and prioritize/manage multiple projects simultaneously
