We're seeking an energetic, ambitious, and motivated Technical Business Analyst to partner with our consulting team to design and implement systems that meet the business objectives of our well known clients in media and digital marketing. The Technical Business Analyst will work with clients throughout the project lifecycle. During the Design Phase of the project they will assist the team in researching best practices, making recommendations to the client about functionality and user flow and documenting requirements and acceptance criteria. In later phases of the project, this person will also provide client training workshops, demonstrating to business users how they can use the various features of their new platform.

Responsibilities

 

  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical team. Facilitating cross-department communication is key to this role.

Role Requirements

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst, or similar role, documenting and analyzing technical solutions to complex business problems (less experience considered for exceptional performers)
  • Experience in analyzing business goals and metrics
  • Experience in video implementation or service is a plus
  • Experience leading requirements gathering sessions and documenting business requirements
  • Familiarity with both agile and waterfall development methodologies
  • Experience with project life-cycle management tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Previous experience in consulting or professional services is a significant plus
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Consulting: Technical Leads are part of the senior team that manage the client and are called upon to facilitate user requirements sessions, design technical specifications, and manage development of documentation to meet client expectations.  In conjunction with a Project Manager, Technical Leads are expected to provide both technical and solution expertise for clients and client engagements.

  • Strong experience managing or developing large-scale B2C and B2B and/or B2B2C products
  • Technical fluency on front end and back end software development, including video streaming technologies

We are searching for a driven, passionate and determined individual to take on a position as a Regional Channel Partner Director, APAC on our growing Channel Sales team

In this key, individual contributor position  you will have responsibility to drive accelerated revenue growth for Brightcove through the recruitment and management of  VAR (Value Added Reseller) and channel partnerships that operate in APAC -  especially in India, SEA, and ANZ. Job Responsibilities

  • Win new high-value partnerships via strong relationship-building and successful commercial negotiations. Identify, recruit, and onboard VAR and OEM partners with specific expertise and market coverage that will grow Brightcove revenue and market share in APAC
  • Develop and own the Annual Channel Partner Plan that will orchestrate and steer all partner engagement, GTM motions and revenue plans for each partner. This plan will be reviewed and updated on a rolling, quarterly basis and socialized and vetted with executives of both companies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, and work closely with them to achieve mutual goals. Provide support and guidance to partners on product and solution offerings. 
  • Develop and implement channel partner programs, such as training, marketing and incentives to ensure the partner’s success.
  • Build and maintain partner competence by working with Brightcove’s Partner Enablement resources to ensure partner’s staff is well trained and certified on Brightcove’s solutions.
  • Manage and ensure each partner executes marketing, and sales activities that incorporate Brightcove solutions in order to build pipeline and achieve their revenue targets for Brightcove solutions. 
  • Manage the performance of partners, and develop strategies to ensure they achieve their sales and revenue goals. Ensure partner’s projections are accurate, leads are followed up, promotions and incentives are executed, and customers are happy with Brightcove solutions.
  • Enable support of partner’s sellers to ensure success including; opportunity qualification, opportunity registration, pricing, contract negotiations,, tracking, and closing orders. 
  • Create and manage partner forecasts: pipeline and revenue.
  • Work with Brightcove direct sales teams as appropriate to ensure channel sales alignment, deal progression, partner engagement, and overall sales alignment model.
  • Be the single point of ownership for all key relationships at the partner at all levels. Navigate the partner’s sales, marketing and executive ranks and cultivate ongoing, meaningful business relationships.

  • Proven experience with partners in India, SEA and ANZ.

  • Working directly with customers via phone and email to respond to technical issues, providing escalated technical and triage support for other team members, and actively contribute to our online community and knowledge database for up-to-date customer information and solutions. 
  • Partnering with our Engineering, Product Management and QA teams to increase customer satisfaction by providing critical feedback and assistance for product enhancements. 
  • Work across a global Customer Supper team in the US, Europe, Australia, Korea, and Japan, as well as with customers around the world.

Qualifications/Experience 

  • College degree (Computer Science degree preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus
  • Proven analytical / problem solving ability
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage initiatives to completion.
  • Proven ability to work with the team to quickly and calmly resolve technical issues.
  • Solid understanding of internet technologies including browsers, networking, firewalls & proxy servers
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly.

Technical Skills

  • Strong technology background with a comprehensive knowledge of Internet, Mobile and Digital Online Media technologies such as networking, servers, etc
  • Strong familiarity and working knowledge in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is essential
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Java; experience in Android development is a plus
  • Familiarity and working knowledge with rich media applications and mobile SDK development or testing
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of RESTful API use, data collection tools, developer support experience
  • Meaningful experience with online video and of video encoding applications
  • Exposure and working knowledge in at least one other programming language including Objective C/Swift, PHP, BASH, etc
  • Ability to test, troubleshoot and diagnose ad integrations issues highly desired
  • Working knowledge of video ad serving technologies (VAST, VPAID, VMAP, etc) highly desired
  • Working knowledge of ad/video analytics platforms (Omniture, MOAT, etc) highly desired

Data, and how they are used, play a central role at Brightcove and are at the heart of how we make business, product, marketing, sales and operational decisions. Our centralized Data organization (Data Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering) is a specialized, cross-functional group that collaborates with a variety of departments to drive decisions and provide direction for future growth at Brightcove. The newly created Analytics team within Brightcove tackles challenging problems across many technical disciplines, including time series forecasting, causal inference, and optimization. In this data heavy role, we are seeking an exceptional data practitioner and hands-on Sr. Director of Analytics with a proven track record to build and lead a high-performing and growing Analytics team. In this role reporting to the SVP, Head of Data, you will be responsible for leading an organizational effort to better understand our customer needs, enhancing our product experiences, increasing our marketing and sales efforts and growth ecosystems, and growing our customer base.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Hire, develop, motivate, inspire and lead a high performance, proactive team of analysts that are able to gather, analyze, synthesize and deliver data and recommendations accurately and timely
  • Act as an analytics thought partner for product, marketing, sales, customer success and other key functional teams; proactively identify and explain trends; measure impact and effectiveness of features, experiences, creative campaigns across platforms and channels; drive customer, engagement, and revenue growth
  • Develop, propose and execute on analytics initiatives and roadmaps to ensure data best practices and play a critical role in expanding the data-informed culture at all levels of the organization
  • Apply sophisticated computational, statistical, and modeling techniques in support of decision-making and drive KPI improvement; techniques include A/B and multivariate testing, predictive analysis, classification, attribution, media mix modeling, data mining, clustering and segmentation
  • Effectively distill complex results down to concise summary and present actionable insights to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in product, marketing, sales, engineering, operations, finance etc to define and influence data-informed business strategy and roadmaps
  • Manage development of data resources, gather requirements, organize sources, and support product and campaign launches
  • Partner with data engineering and technology teams to continuously seek innovative ways to improve the quality and accessibility of our analytical framework and data reporting infrastructure

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Master’s or PhD a strong plus
  • 7+ years of experience in building, managing, and leading a high-performing data analytics team
  • 12+ years of relevant working experience with increasing responsibility and strong track record of technical competencies and business strategy
  • Track record of developing and executing data roadmaps to drive decision making across product, marketing, sales and customer success organizations
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, R) 
  • Expert knowledge with business intelligence tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
  • Expertise with statistical analyses, application, and concepts (e.g. regressions, experiment design, classification etc.)
  • Ability to operate independently and prioritize/manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strategically-minded yet strong detail-orientation with a penchant for data accuracy and intellectual honesty
