About the opportunity

We're seeking a Director of Repairs/Construction to join us in delivering on our mission of building a simpler, more streamlined, and customer-centric home buying and selling experience.

This role will be responsible for driving and executing on Homeward’s strategy related to repairs management, efficiently and cost-effectively ensuring the necessary and appropriate make-ready repairs and renovations are made to the Homeward’s homes so that they can be sold quickly and profitably.  As a critical member of the team that shepherds Homeward’s properties from purchase to market sale, you’ll have the opportunity to drive transactions to be more profitable and support customer retention by ensuring properties are listed promptly and in a marketable manner.  This position will also play a strategic role in evolving Homeward’s repair philosophy and require sophisticated cross-functional partnerships with other teams at Homeward, including Finance, Sales, and Transaction Experience.

As Homeward grows, this role may also have the opportunity to also manage local field services staff as such roles may be created.

In this role, you will

  • Strategic ownership of the iterative design and alignment of our go-forward repairs fulfillment strategy
  • Working cross functionally to drive change management across the business on delivery and execution of the chosen repairs strategy
  • Driving quality, timely, and cost-efficient repairs to our properties.
  • Managing our vendor partners that execute the repair / construction work to optimize speed, quality, and cost. 
  • Managing a team of repairs staff to high execution standards.
  • Partnering with our General Managers and Sales team to improve customer and partner satisfaction.
  • Supporting internal clients – including our Market Sales Agents and General Managers – by ensuring the repair/construction aspect of our transactions proceeds smoothly.
  • Providing support to our staff on significant repair projects.
  • Working closely with our Finance team to implement a balanced approach to property improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with Product & Tech on the budgeting, vendor discovery, procurement of Repair Management software
  • Partner with Product & Tech, BizOps, and Data Analytics on the enablement of the Repairs functions

What you'll bring

  • Have a combined 6+ years of experience in residential property inspections, repairs, construction, remodeling, or related fields that showcase expertise in managing property repairs and construction.
  • Experience in building a function from the ground up
  • Experience working in a variety of repair delivery systems with a toolkit of best practices, and knowledge on pitfalls to avoid
  • Familiar with a wide range of inspection reports, residential repairs, and associated costs.
  • Demonstrated success in managing vendor partners while remaining within deadlines and budgets.
  • Familiar with conventional lending standards regarding necessary conditions.
  • Demonstrated the ability to exercise sound judgment that balances the need for business growth and risk mitigation.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear and effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management, time management and organization, ensuring efficient handling of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative, driving performance and achieving goals autonomously.

About the opportunity 

At Homeward, the Deals Structuring Manager drives success by shaping deal strategies and decision-making. Partnering with sales, finance, and transactions teams, you’ll navigate complex scenarios, balancing risk and reward to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers, agents, and business. 

You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive appropriate balance of revenue growth and profitability through structuring deals at multiple milestones in the real estate transaction. This is a strategic and analytic role that requires a deep understanding of deal structuring, including the ability to price and value homes, analyze market trends, and assess unit economics for Homeward’s financial products. You’ll also help manage condition-related risks to the customer and Homeward by determining necessary make-ready repairs and credit holdbacks to address anticipated buyer repair requests. Additionally, you’ll bring insight into the product lifecycle process, ensuring decisions align with broader business objectives and operational goals.

In this role, you will:

Deal Structuring and Guidance

  • Develop deal structures that balance valuation, risk, market conditions, property conditions, and conversion potential.
  • Provide expert guidance to sales, transaction teams, and General Managers to address underwriting questions and ensure all deals result in a positive and profitable outcome for both customers and Homeward.

Property Valuation and Market Analysis

Inspection and Risk Management

  • Analyze inspection reports to identify necessary structural, mechanical, or cosmetic repairs and renovations.
  • Determine repair solutions that balance risk mitigation with customer retention, including negotiating repairs versus credits.
  • Approve repair photos and receipts, ensuring compliance with contract terms and standards.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Partner with finance, sales, customer service, and operations teams to streamline processes and close deals effectively.
  • Mentor team members on valuation methods, repair standards, and best practices to improve overall performance.

Operational Excellence

  • Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for property assessments, repairs, and customer service tasks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and proactively manage risks.
  • Assist with pre-inspection valuations and provide weekend availability as needed to maintain smooth operations.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. 
  • 3+ years of combined experience in residential property underwriting, valuations, inspection reviews, or related fields, with proven expertise in assessing property risks, values, and market trends within the real estate industry.
  • Skilled in reviewing diverse inspection reports, including residential, electrical, plumbing, well, septic, WDI, roof inspections, and more.
  • Familiarity with conventional lending standards and multiple types of repairs, along with the ability to estimate repair costs when exact quotes are unavailable.
  • Strong understanding of unit economics and product lifecycle processes. 
  • Excellent ability to analyze data, translate insights into actionable strategies, and balance business growth with risk mitigation.

About the Opportunity

We're seeking a Product Manager to join us in delivering on our mission of building a simpler, more streamlined and customer-centric home buying and selling experience.  This role will report to our Sr Manager, Product Management.

In this role, you will

  • Drive impact as a member of a small product team by partnering closely with Sales, Growth, Ops, & Finance to deliver meaningful step-change impacts to our business across acquisition & conversion efforts.

  • You have 2+ years of product management experience in a high-performance startup or technology company. 
  • You’re able to ship quickly and adjust your process to fit the needs of an early stage startup. You create high-quality product requirements in short cycle times. You value shipping a good solution now over a great solution several weeks from now. At this stage of our company, we need to get our product in front of customers so we can continually iterate on it. 
  • You’re exceptionally detail oriented. You can shift between big picture and fine detail rapidly, and you’re a wizard with documentation.

About The Opportunity

About The Opportunity

The Loan Officer is the face of Homeward Mortgage and responsible for servicing new customer opportunities being generated by the company. In doing this, you’ll own the agent and customer experience while being responsible for ensuring that all parties to the transaction remain confident and informed about their transaction. Leads will be provided to you and the main responsibility will be to engage, build, maintain the referral relationship and convert the client. As part of the team, you’ll be supported by an industry-leading team of Processors, Underwriters and Closers while collaborating with our growth team to make Homeward Mortgage the preferred home finance provider for every top agent in our markets.

About the opportunity

Homeward is looking for a Salesforce Administrator to join the team responsible for the design, implementation, and success of our Salesforce ecosphere. This individual will be responsible for owning support issues on a day-to-day basis, developing runbooks, and contributing to new strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in ownership of their projects, is able to effectively diagnose issues, develop solutions quickly, and communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Join our Salesforce Systems Team and have an immediate impact on the company and the implementation of our Salesforce instance
  • Work directly with our Product and Engineering Team, members of our Sales & Operations teams, as well as the organization as whole, to improve the process of buying and selling homes
  • Prioritize and manage incoming development requests from stakeholders, and effectively oversee the ticket queue to ensure timely resolution of Salesforce issues and enhancements.
  • Collaborate on projects ranging from 3rd party integrations to development of new business processes that promote efficiency, scalability, and risk mitigation
  • Focus on bridging the gap between development and end users
  • Contribute to documentation, product scoping, and training
  • Collaborate on strategies to manage Salesforce metadata & tabular data 
  • Work side-by-side with our existing Salesforce experts to own Salesforce implementation and architecture planning 
  • Work closely with our engineering team to build integrations & develop processes that scale our operations & sales efforts
  • Wear both light development and administration hats - as a growing organization, we’ll need an administrator who can fill both roles to ensure we plan data structures and configurations for scaling

About you:

About the opportunity

The Homebuying Operations team is a critical part of what makes Homeward unique to traditional financing. This team is responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for our Customers and Agents on transactions where Homeward buys and sells the home. The Transaction Manager role is a teammate to our Agent, a guide to our Customer, and the representative that protects Homeward through due diligence. 

We’re seeking a Transaction Success Manager for our Sell Before You List program to support the execution of buying and selling homes while providing exceptional service to both the agent and the Homeward customer. As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for communicating expectations, policies, and next steps to the Agent and Customer while driving the transaction through an on time closing. You’ll use your Real Estate background and knowledge to create confidence and understanding in the Homeward process with your Agent. Strong communication, detailed organization, deadline adherence, and problem solving are essential for this position. 

This position will work cross-functionally with other critical teams including operations, sales, product, among others and will specialize in one of our two product lines.

Note: This is a Monday-Friday temporary, full time position for up to 6 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.

In this role, you will

  • Be the main driver of all activities related to closing the first transaction once we have exited the due diligence/option period, and then getting the home prepared for market, listed and sold for the highest profit
  • Collaborate with our repair partners to ensure Homeward listings meet our quality standards and are prepared for market as efficiently as possible
  • Collaborate with our agent partners to launch Homeward listings on the market and determine the appropriate listing price strategy , additional repairs, or other necessary actions to achieve the most profitable sale
  • Assist with market sale negotiations to achieve the highest possible profits for Homeward and highest additional proceeds for the original seller
  • Manage pipeline to ensure our agent partners are working within the obligated timelines. 
  • Collect showing data and feedback on a weekly cadence from listing agents and determine any necessary adjustments to the listing strategy
  • Responsible for assisting customers and agents throughout the entire transaction by appropriately collaborating with cross functional team members and vendors.

About the opportunity

Homeward is looking for a General Manager (III) to proactively manage and oversee  a large portfolio of homes held in inventory. This position, which includes P&L ownership, is responsible for making both reactive and proactive decisions to drive profitability to the portfolio and mitigate inventory losses on individual properties. The GM will be required to make adjustments to a property's listing strategy and execution, ensure all homes held meet our listing quality standards, and approve spend on renovations, repairs and property maintenance. Success in this role means you are selling off a majority of homes for a profit and in a timely manner, while minimizing any homes that sell for a loss. This is a strategic and cross functional role that works with a variety of teams in sales, operations and finance. 

In this role, you will:

  • Report directly into the VP of Finance
  • Own a portfolio of Homeward’s inventory, which may encompass multiple products, regions and partners. 
  • Responsible for a property from the point it exits option period, through to its sale on the market
  • P&L ownership for a portfolio of inventory; responsible for staying close to each property held and ensuring that expenses are closely managed to hit profitability targets
  • Remain close to an extensive portfolio of properties to regularly review risk levels, while paying close attention to riskier files
  • Sign off on purchase offers Homeward makes to ensure that we are taking a balanced approach to our overall inventory risk level, and provide regular feedback to the business
  • Develop strong muscle for effective selling strategies across different property types and markets
  • Become an SME on Homeward’s inventory management playbook, and be able to proactively address at-risk files by tailoring the approach to the individual property and circumstances
  • Direct financial outcomes to inform the right course of action to be taken on individual properties, with the goal out maximizing profitability
  • Display excellent cross-functional collaboration with partners across Deals Desk and Operations teams
  • Ability to guide and direct Operations partners to ensure proper listing execution, escalated market sale decisioning, and action plan implementation
  • Ensure our Operations teams are driving tight timelines across various stages of the transaction lifecycle, including: closing on new homes, getting homes listed for sale on the market, under contract and sold, and moving quickly through make-ready and repairs throughout

What you’ll bring:

  • 5-7+ years of experience, ideally at a startup or other fast-paced environment, in real estate, and/or owning a P&L in real estate

About the opportunity

The Valuations Team is a critical part of Homeward’s risk mitigation strategy, responsible for quickly and accurately valuing the homes associated with every transaction, while actively managing the duration and quality risk of Homeward’s entire portfolio of homes. Their charter is to maximize Homeward’s Customer approval conversion, while maintaining a strong line of defense for our risk exposure - a challenging but important needle to thread.

As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for reviewing market data and making comparable home selections to predict home sales prices. The role will include regular analysis of historical valuation accuracy and coordination with our network of in-market agents to obtain price opinions that drive home value analysis, ultimately ensuring that Homeward accurately estimates the sale value of its customer’s existing homes and avoids overpaying for new homes. 

This position will challenge your ability to balance risk mitigation with conversion optimization, and will require you to implement evolving complex operational processes. 

Note: This is a temporary, full-time, three-month, hourly position and will require weekend availability.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform pricing evaluations for residential real estate properties, ensuring adherence to our accuracy and turnaround time requirements.
  • Working independently, while effectively prioritizing tasks with competing deadlines
  • Coordinating with vendors that provide key valuations data and analytics
  • Reviewing inspection reports
  • Collaborating with other operations and sales teams to ensure we deliver a high quality customer experience

About the opportunity:

Homeward’s Agent Trainer will educate agents and partners on how to use Homeward's cash offer product effectively. You are passionate about real estate sales, home ownership, and coaching agents on how to do more transactions with unique tools.  You understand the real estate space and are comfortable conversing not only with Agents and Brokers but with Buyers and Sellers alike.  You enjoy teaching, speaking, and sales.

The ultimate goal is to ensure agents and partners are aware of and consider Homeward as their #1 cash offer option. You’ll be able to maximize the benefits of our platform by delivering feedback, in order to confidently start sending deals through our system.

About the opportunity

This role will work on providing support to core teams including Operations, Sales, Finance, and Product. This role will involve analyzing key areas within these teams, developing metrics, and building standardized reporting, while maintaining and driving meaningful, clean, and concise data while we continue to scale. Additionally, this role will collaborate with key stakeholders to provide the data they need and deliver solutions, helping to elevate their understanding and use of data to drive team and business insights.   • Develop expertise in Homeward’s data platform, including its generation and storage processes, limitations and expectations, and best practices for data cleaning and modeling using dbt and Looker.

  • Assist with the development and ongoing refinement of Homeward’s canonical data model in partnership with the data engineering and product teams
  • Support development, maintenance, and organization of performance reporting and management dashboards for all of Homeward’s functional areas of operations and optimizations

What you’ll bring:

  • 4+ years of proven experience in analytics, business intelligence or comparable role; preference for experience within high-growth startups
  • Experience creating, maintaining, supporting metrics within a BI tool (Looker, Tableau, etc)

About the opportunity

The Homeward Advisor role is responsible for driving sales and building relationships all over the assigned market area. This role involves cultivating and delivering on partnerships with top-producing real estate teams and real estate agents. The ideal candidate is a focused, hungry, sales-driven professional looking to make a massive impact with new and exciting solutions for agents and consumers. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are energized by change. You take the initiative to learn and understand our products and processes, with a solutions-focused mentality. You are motivated by smashing sales standards set in front of you and thrive in an environment of accountability and proactivity around accomplishing personal and company goals. You are passionate about our company mission, home ownership, and coaching agents on how to do more transactions with unique tools. You understand the real estate space and are comfortable conversing not only with agents and brokerage leadership, but with buyers and sellers alike. You will provide pipeline management, pitching, negotiation tactics, and closing skills to enhance and maintain partner relationships.

In this role, you will

  • Manage partnerships with top-performing brokerages, coach and train agents on our products, and drive sales to help ensure fulfillment of expectations for our partnerships
  • Take the initiative to learn and understand our products and processes 
  • Internalize scripting through practice and role-play 
  • Provide white-glove engagement with agent partners in order to hit productivity metrics
  • Work in alignment with the internal executive team to facilitate contract negotiations and drive sales
  • Partner with brokerage leadership to drive sales within their offices
  • Develop and test the Homeward services implementation process and make iterations based on findings
  • Execute cross-functional alignment of goals and execution
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape for the offering and inform future business opportunities and priorities

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years experience in a consultative sales environment
  • Strong preference for experience in residential real estate
  • Proven ability to build meaningful relationships and build trust through competency and consistent, effective communication
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Proven ability to command a room, engage the audience, and present well on video
  • Proven ability to develop opportunities from ideation to execution
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct analysis, make strategic recommendations, and adapt quickly
  • Demonstrates high accountability to performance results to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to work in a start-up environment and be comfortable with ambiguity
  • Preferred: Intrinsic understanding of the real estate market and the mindset of high-performing real estate agents, teams, and brokers. 

Pay and benefits

  • Compensation: $50,000.00 paid out hourly at $24.04 + uncapped commission
  • Remote-first environment (our headquarters are in Austin, TX)
