About the Team

Cloudflare Zaraz allows engineers and product teams to fuel the growth of their web applications using 3rd party tools while maintaining high performance metrics, minimizing security risks, and respecting privacy obligations. In doing so, the team helped establish the open source Managed Components initiative as a new Internet standard to improve how third party code is packaged for inclusion in digital products across a range of devices.

Building on its successful adoption so far, we’re looking to expand the Cloudflare Zaraz category & catalog with a fresh complement of growth tools to continue removing obstacles in the path to develop thriving Internet properties.

What you'll do

In this role, you will join world class engineers in shaping new products built entirely on Cloudflare’s global network, while continuing to nurture the growing impact of Cloudflare Zaraz on the Internet - ensuring continual reliability, maintaining best-in-class performance, and implementing new features and functionality.

You will be encouraged to bring ideas and own your code from inception to release, delivering solutions at all layers of the software stack to empower Cloudflare customers. What you'll do

We announced Cloudflare Workers in 2017  — since then it’s played a key role in Cloudflare’s strategy for entering the developer platform market. Until the launch of Workers, as Cloudflare was ramping up its capabilities in the performance and security spaces, it became clear that developers needed more ways to control the edge than rules engines could support. Workers has allowed Cloudflare to add programmability to the edge such that developers could have access to writing logic on the edge in their preferred way — through code. Over the past few years, Workers has grown from a simple functions-as-a-service option into a fully blown full-stack platform. With any application, however, in addition to serverless compute, you need to be able to manage state. In 2022, Cloudflare released D1 — built on Durable Objects, D1 is Cloudflare’s first serverless database.  In this role, you’ll be helping define and building the future of D1 to enable developers to build full stack applications.

The Cloudflare Customer Support Team solves complicated problems and answers technical questions via phone, email, chat and social media. Whether it is a Wordpress blogger using our services for free or a global Enterprise business with petabytes of web traffic, we are always eager to assist. We are the eyes and ears of Cloudflare, acting as the real-time voice of the customer to help communicate their needs and real-world use cases back to the rest of the company - for better service and future product development.

Description

Security Operations Center Analysts provide premium-level support for Cloudflare’s security products and features. Our largest and most technically sophisticated customers will contact the SOC as a Service team for assistance and intelligence in dealing with threats or attacks on their infrastructure at OSI Layers 3, 4, and 7. This will span the range of Cloudflare security products from Magic Transit Infrastructure Protection, DDoS mitigation and Network Firewall, to using the Web Application firewall (WAF), Spectrum, Bot Management and Rate Limiting to help customers.

Security Operations Center Analysts analyze threats, make detailed and informed suggestions for mitigation and may need to implement mitigation strategies directly on behalf of the customer. The team also provides attack reporting beyond Cloudflare’s self-service reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate the alerts to identify attacks
• Work with Engineering and Operations teams to mitigate attacks, suggest steps to mitigate, and apply the appropriate mitigation, when applicable
• Work with Engineering and Product teams to improve the products and tools
• Extensive communications with customers via chat, email, and phone 
• Review the latest alerts to determine relevancy and urgency. Create new tracking tickets for alerts that signal an incident and require review or escalation
• Configure / Manage security monitoring rules and contribute to tool improvements
• Compare traffic signatures and attributes including IP addresses, cookie variations, HTTP headers, and JavaScript footprints to determine what is good traffic and what is malicious
• Participation in a weekend and holiday rotation required with main working hours 9 to 5 Pacific time 

Key skill sets

• Strong understanding of the OSI model, TCP, UDP, BGP, QUIC
• Advanced understanding of iptables
• Analysis of traffic for attack anomaly detection and creation of mitigation rules
• Experience in handling attack mitigation and thorough knowledge of various attacks (L3/4 and L7)
• At least 2 years of technical support experience and customer support experience is a must
• Strong communication skills with high-value customers

Job Purpose

The Software Engineer will join the software development team in designing and implementing the development of our consumer-facing, high-traffic, e-commerce web platform.  We are looking for front end, back end, and fullstack developers from junior to mid-level.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develops software solutions by identifying user and system requirements for anew customer-facing, high-traffic, e-commerce web platform
• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.

Pay and benefits

Our cash compensation range for this role is $58.65/hr for undergraduate students and $64.42/hr for graduate students in San Francisco and New York City. In Denver, our compensation range is $46.63/hr for undergraduate students and $51.44/hr for graduate students. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

• Tier 1: $172,800-$230,000 base salary

As a Technical Support Associate you’ll … 

• Deliver consistently exceptional customer experiences to every Webflow user.
• Assist customers in support queues utilizing various tools such as Zendesk and Jira.
• Document and report bugs, resolve issues, and foster collaboration within the team to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction.
• Advocate for our customers' needs, collaborating closely with your team and manager to identify opportunities for enhancing our product and services.

In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, at Webflow we will support you in identifying where your interests and development opportunities lie and we'll help you incorporate them into your role.

About you 

Requirements:

• Business-level fluency to read, write and speak in English[
• Must live in Mexico City and/or the surrounding 16 boroughs

You’ll thrive as a/an Technical  Support Associate if you:

• Demonstrated high-touch customer support experience in SAAS or technical services, including email, phone, and live chat.
• One or two years working in technical support roles.
• Self-learning ability and quick adaptability to keep pace with evolving product features and new digital tools
• Deep understanding of Webflow products or similar web design tools.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, DNS, JavaScript, or advanced Webflow knowledge.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills for technical troubleshooting.
• Autonomous, creative, and supportive team player.
• Practices radical candor for clear communication and creative problem-solving.
• Have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in the English language 
• Advocate for others – customers and colleagues – and you want to build a career in customer support
• Experience working with Google Workspace, Slack, Zendesk and Confluence 
• Must be able to work Wednesday - Sunday (off Monday + Tuesday)
