Overview

About the Role 

You will be joining a dynamic team consisting of manual and automation test engineers working on cutting-edge technology. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining automation frameworks across all of our products. You will be Identifying a variety of automation tools and evaluating which brings the most value for our products not only from a software perspective but also from a hardware perspective. You will be a key player in laying down our foundational building blocks to increase our automation coverage and streamline our continuous integration process to achieve quicker release cycles. You will establish best practices and standards throughout our QA department. You will closely collaborate, actively participate, and have a voice on our team to ensure our products are delivered with the highest quality possible.

 

About the Team 

Caper is one of the critical pillars of Instacart’s new Connected Store technology. Caper offers smart shopping carts powered by deep learning and computer vision to enable a seamless grab-and-go retail experience.

 

About the Job 

  • Spearhead the development of automated functional integration tests and E2E tests across all our products utilizing open-source test frameworks.
  • A Hands-on self-motivated engineer capable of working collaboratively in building a continuous integration environment. 
  • Perform complex database queries and manipulations for test, staging, etc.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, E2E, load and performance testing.
  • Assist with manual testing as needed.
  • Develop trained data, test data, and model validations for machine learning tests.
  • Will work closely with engineering, product management, cross-department partner teams within an Agile environment using JIRA as our backbone for collaboration.
  • Be a strong voice of reason exercising clear judgment making data-informed decisions in order to improve and maintain the utmost quality within our products.
  • Daily “bug hunting” – always on the lookout for defects, usability improvements, cosmetic “eye sores”, etc. and properly track them for resolution.

 

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of working as a SDET/SDE, with 3+ years in a leading role and/or independent contributor.
  • Minimum 3-year experience with automation tools such as Appium, Expresso Selenium, Selendroid (or similar for Android app test automation).
  • Minimum 3-year experience with IntelliJ, TestNG, and Jenkins.
  • Must have built an automation framework from scratch.
  • Experience programming with Java,  Python, shell and/or C++.
  • Experience interacting with RESTful API and skilled in Rest Assured, Postman (or similar)
  • Experience with System Design.
  • Experience working with MongoDB and MySQL.
  • Solid understanding of GIT.
  • Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, attention to detail and leadership ability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience automating tests for android applications, Web Applications & Services.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining full CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Gitlab.
  • Knowledge of basic software engineering practices surrounding coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, and test.
  • Experience with AI and ML test principles and strategies.
  • Exposure to GCP and microservices.
  • Familiar with JIRA and TestRail.
  • Highly effective communication, both oral and written.

Overview:

LivePerson is looking for a Devops engineer for the GPT (Global Product & Technology) Division. You will be part of the LiverPerson SRE team building and managing highly available, distributed systems.   • Ensure product high uptime and reliability 24x7.
  • Manage Linux servers in a multi-cloud environment
  • Manage high availability Kubernetes resources using Helm charts

  • Monitoring and troubleshooting warnings and alerts related to the reporting platform’s performance

The Role

The Senior Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes. Your job will be to:

  1. Design & Deliver new features

a. Design & Deliver new features

  • Translate business requirements for product features into technical specifications and design documents.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure a unified software architecture.
  • Define and develop back-office API endpoints as well as high-performance serving endpoints.
  • Develop and implement high-throughput, scalable and reliable systems to support new features.
  • Deploy and monitor new features in production, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

b. Ensure quality and performance of developed solution

  • Perform API testing, including unit tests, system tests and performance tests.
  • Implement monitoring systems and dashboards to track the performance of our systems in production, identify potential issues, and optimize for speed and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing DevOps best practices within the team.

c. Support and Maintain owned components

  • Maintain end-to-end features, encompassing microservices, back-office APIs, and high-performance serving APIs.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing features, including troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements.
  • Support our client-facing colleagues in the investigation of possible issues (L3 support).
  • Document code, design decisions, and operational procedures to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

What technologies and tools does the Campaigns team work with?

  • Programming languages - Go, Python
  • Google Cloud Platform services - GKE, BigQuery, BigTable, GCS, VertexAI 
  • Data Storage and Processing - MongoDB, Redis, Kafka 
  • Software and Tools - Grafana, Sentry, Gitlab, Jira, Productboard, PagerDuty 

The owned area focuses on Marketing Campaigns Automation, including scheduling, audience management, content personalization and delivery. We support various marketing channels, such as Mobile Messaging, Emails, SMS/MMS, Push Notifications and Webhooks. We use Jinja for personalization and utilize ML models for content generation. Therefore, having experience in the mentioned areas is an advantage.

Your success story will be:

  • In 30 Days: Successfully onboard and contribute to ongoing tasks, demonstrating understanding of the codebase and team processes.
  • In 90 Days: Contribute to design discussions and independently deliver high-quality code for assigned features. Participate in investigating and resolving production issues.
  • In 180 Days: Independently manage larger tasks, contribute to team improvements, and confidently handle L3 support, investigating and resolving production issues.

You have the following experience and qualities:

  1. Professional — Proven experience in Go or Python engineering, system design, and maintenance in the area of campaign automation.

Professional experience

  • Proven experience in at least one of the following languages: Go or Python, which are essential for building our data-driven features.
  • Solid understanding of microservice-oriented architecture and experience in building systems with high throughput and low latency APIs. Familiarity with service orchestration and management (e.g. GKE).
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. We utilize Git for code management and CI/CD pipelines for efficient development and deployment.
  • Familiarity with database management (preferably MongoDB and Redis) and event streaming (e.g. Apache Kafka).
  • Experience with integrating omnichannel communication such as Mobile Messaging, Emails, SMS/MMS, Push Notifications and Webhooks would be a valued asset.
  • Interest in Generative AI and its applications is a plus.

You Will

  • Architect, Design and implement business software and underlying APIs

You have:

  • B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a backend and frontend engineer - Must.
  • Proven experience with programming languages NodeJS/React - Must.
  • Proven experience with NestJS, TypeScript, Vue & GPT4o Prompts  - Advantage
  • Experience with automation of infrastructure systems (Ansible) and integration tools (Jenkins) - Advantage.
  • Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes as part of CI/CD pipelines - Advantage.
  • Cloud providers experience such AWS, GCP - Advantage.
