We’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help us build a revolutionary new health care business. Clover uses Machine Learning/Natural Language Processing to leverage our data to help keep beneficiaries healthy and out of the hospital by getting them targeted care. By predicting avoidable adverse events, our ML/NLP infrastructure is central to working on our central mission, and has a direct impact on our beneficiaries. You will help build systems and tools that support the data needs of a diverse organization and contribute to the expansion of the Machine Learning/Natural Language Processing capabilities of our Data Platform.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will: 

• Design, implement and validate high-reliability, distributed platforms for machine learning and natural language processing.
• Create, debug, interpret and improve production machine learning and natural language processing models.
• Build the tools and validation processes that help Clover translate insights into action at scale.
• Use existing commercial and open source tools to create a robust production platform.
• Work closely with Clover's Data Science and Engineering teams to ensure that the ML/NLP Platform is providing real value.
• Document, iterate, and provide tutorials to ensure Data Scientists are able to use your tools easily.

As a Senior Software Engineer of the Identity team, you will be responsible for Invitae’s mission-critical authentication and authorization systems. Thousands of patients and providers use these systems daily to access Invitae’s testing capabilities and find answers to their most pressing health questions. Invitae’s business depends on these systems operating securely, reliably, and efficiently to ensure our patients get accurate results in a timely manner.

In this role, you will be instrumental in building our next patient data service that will securely store all of our patient data from different sources.  These new services will have a new user model that will allow for organizational hierarchy that will work with customers existing SSO. • Expert understanding and experience of client-server architecture and distributed microservices systems
• Expert system architecting capability to see the big picture and envision how business and product requirements can be broken up into system modules or components
• Proficiency in at least one more modern programming language, and the ability to understand more than one. We currently use Python and Kotlin
• Expert technical knowledge around web application architectures, communication protocols, API design (REST, RPC, etc), etc

Individual base pay is based on various factors, including work location, relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. • Zone 1: $190,000 to $235,000 USD annually
• Zone 2: $180,000 to $220,000 USD annually
