Overview:

You will be working as Technical Lead for LivePerson’s Voice Team to deliver Voice Automations and Voice applications for our brands to resolve common customer interactions and issues. You will have a track record of leading successful software engineering teams. In this role you will:

  • Learn new technologies and architectures, including work with LivePerson’s award winning Voice AI solution, voice based telephony, and new product development.
  • Lead a team of software development engineers.
  • Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency, enterprise scale applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
  • Design complex high performance backend services using Java
  • Design complex solution for Voice based applications

You should be an expert in:

  • 8+ years of experience building successful large scale production software systems
  • 1- 2 years of experience in leading software engineering teams following agile methods as tech lead - MUST
  • 5+ years of experience in Java programming - MUST
  • 2+ years of experience integrating with third-party APIs  - MUST
  • 3+ years Experience debugging/testing distributed microservice applications - MUST
  • 3+ year of experience with  technologies such as Kafka, Redis and NoSql - MUST
  • 3+ years of Experience building RESTful microservices  - MUST
  • Experience building voice applications is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in Kubernetes (cluster, load balancer), Google Kubernetes

Cloudforce One is Cloudflare’s threat operations and research team, responsible for identifying and disrupting cyber threats ranging from sophisticated cyber criminal activity to nation-state sponsored advanced persistent threats (APTs).  Cloudforce One works in close partnership with external organizations and internal Cloudflare teams, continuously developing operational tradecraft and expanding ever-growing sources of threat intelligence to enable expedited threat hunting and remediation.  Members of Cloudforce One are at the helm of leveraging an incredibly vast and varied set of data points that only one of the world’s largest global networks can provide.  The team is able to analyze these unique data points, at massive scale and efficiency, synthesizing findings into actionable threat intelligence to better protect our customers.

About the Role

Cloudflare is a system spanning the globe, on a mission to make the internet better, safer, and more powerful everyday.  To help fulfill this mission, we are seeking a talented Security Engineer to join us in growing our Cloudforce One Organization, where you will be instrumental in building a proactive and threat intelligence-driven approach to protecting Cloudflare and its customers from sophisticated and ever-evolving global threat actors.  This position requires an innovative, self-starting, and detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for identifying, tracking, and assessing sophisticated cyber threats.

As a Cloudforce One Security Engineer, you will develop critical services to monitor and disrupt cyber threat activity across multiple platforms, supporting both client requests and proactive internal research. You will serve an integral role in the discovery and analysis of cyber threat adversaries, building pipelines to collect and expose this data for our Cloudforce One analysts and Cloudflare customers. The services you create will help identify Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) of ongoing and ever-evolving cyber attacks to protect our global customer base.  Lastly, you will work in close collaboration with team members to develop new and innovative ways to present and interact with Cloudflare's unique insights.  

We are hiring for an entry-level software engineer position; however, strong candidates should be able to write reliable code, preferably in Golang or TypeScript. As a member of the team you will be responsible for contributing to and deploying team codebases to coalesce traits of an attack. You will also work both as a self-driven individual contributor and alongside a team to achieve a common goal. 

 

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • Software development skills, with preferred experience programming in Go
  • Focus on writing modular code to enhance maintainability, scalability, and code reuse
  • Understanding of APIs and how to access data between separate systems using APIs

About The Role:

We're looking for a Principal Ruby on Rails Engineer to build and support critical, client-facing and internal systems that provide real-time roadside assistance to a diverse customer-base, which range from OEM & Insurance carriers to connected vehicles. Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are responsible for keeping all internal-facing services and platforms running smoothly. In a nutshell, SREs ensure site uptime. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner with Braze’s engineering teams on:
    • Architecting products to effectively utilize infrastructure platforms in a scalable, reliable manner
    • Debugging reliability and scalability issues across all stack layers, including the products built using our infrastructure platforms
    • Make monitoring and alerting alerts on symptoms and not on outages
    • Ensure that Braze meets our strict enterprise-grade SLAs with customers

What challenge awaits you?

You'll face the exciting challenge of building and maintaining ML-powered features in a production environment, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and deliver real value to our users. You'll work alongside a team to overcome the unique challenges of building and running ML models in a SaaS environment, including managing data complexity, optimizing for performance, and ensuring model robustness.

You will cooperate with your teammates, Data Science engineers, and Engineering and Product leaders to speed up ML-powered features' delivery (from ideation to production) by applying principles of continuous discovery, integration, testing, and other techniques from Agile, DevOps, and MLOps mindsets. This will involve building efficient workflows, automating processes, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Your job will be to:

  1. Design & Deliver new features

a. Design & Deliver new features

  • Translate business requirements for ML-powered features into technical specifications and design documents.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to ensure new ML features' technical feasibility and scalability.
  • Define and develop back-office API endpoints (to configure the features) as well the high-performance serving endpoints.
  • Develop and implement ML models, algorithms, and data pipelines to support new features.
  • Deploy and monitor new features in production, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

b. Ensure quality and performance of developed solution

  • Perform rigorous testing and quality assurance of ML models and code, including unit tests, integration tests, and A/B testing.
  • Implement monitoring systems and dashboards to track the performance of ML models in production, identify potential issues, and optimize for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing DevOps and MLOps best practices within the team.

c. Support and Maintain owned components

  • Maintain end-to-end features, encompassing back-office APIs, models, definitions, and high-performance serving APIs.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing ML-powered features, including troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements.
  • Support our client-facing colleagues in the investigation of possible issues (L3 support).
  • Document code, design decisions, and operational procedures to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

What technologies and tools does the AI team work with?

  • Programming languages - Python 
  • Google Cloud Platform services - GKE, BigQuery, BigTable, GCS, Dataproc, VertexAI 
  • Data Storage and Processing - MongoDB, Redis, Spark, TensorFlow 
  • Software and Tools - Grafana, Sentry, Gitlab, Jira, Productboard, PagerDuty 

The owned area encompasses various domains such as Recommendations, Predictions, Contextual bandits, MLOps. Therefore, having experience in these areas would be beneficial. The team also works with large amounts of data and utilizes platforms and algorithms for model training and data processing & ML pipelines. Experience in these areas is highly valued.

Your success story will be:

  • In 30 Days: Successfully onboard and contribute to ongoing tasks, demonstrating understanding of the codebase and team processes.
  • In 90 Days: Contribute to design discussions and independently deliver high-quality code for assigned features. Participate in investigating and resolving production issues.
  • In 180 Days: Independently manage larger tasks, contribute to team improvements, and confidently handle L3 support, investigating and resolving production issues.

  • Proven experience in Python engineering, with a strong focus on designing and maintaining AI/ML-powered features in production environments.
